i'm also admitting that i usually post more, but it's a bit stressful at my work these days, so forgive me for not posting that much. @Cass: i have a hard time feeling happy cheerful in the game when i'm not really happy cheerful IRL. Hope you understand.

That said, with one townie down, we need to find a wolf today.

Oh. So you're saying you know where JMM hinted but that you didn't believe him to be a PR?

That isn't clear??

No, it didn't factor.

No. It wasn't. It looked like you were trying to pretend you hadn't seen the PR hint post.

So, can you indulge me in one more inquiry? What was it that made you think JMM was likely a VT? As far as I can ascertain, and I believe you are admitting by virtue of your purported need to distance yourself from the kill, you claimed JMM was your top scum suspect. So I guess I don't see what would have made you think JMM was lying about his hint since you did back off on him after that post.

clov: i agree with this post of yours. That's the reason i let jmm breathe. Tress is right too. I wouldn't be THAT stupid to openly say i thought someone had a PR and then NK them. The only effect i'd hope to achieve is that the possible PR would be protected, in case another player would have missed it.

Sili: I'm having a hard time making sense of you right now.... really...

You don't interpret my next couple of pages of questioning him following that comment as "bonking him on the head"?

Not about that [what appeared to be Sili pretending he hadn't seen the PR hint post]. I saw you made the "you don't?" comment when quoting Sili claiming he didn't know why scum would think JMM was a PR but then you didn't follow up on it when Sili ignored your comment and started talking game setup instead.

Is your assertion that I'm not trying to ascertain his alignment?

Not really. It's more of a meta thing. From what I recall, Town Tress doesn't let something important like that slide. And I say "important" because I believe it would have been important to you based on the fact you used related logic to determine Thane's alignment.

i didn't jump to conclusions, but he ignored the game for days, said it under duress, and there are 8 players.

there doesn't seem to be a seer or cop.

I feel like people have stopped Town telling.

@Thane - what are you confused about with regards to Sili? Post 508 is extremely vague and I would LOVE to understand where you are coming from.

ignore Thane, really?

Yates: i thought Sili a possible wolf candidate early D1. His tone and general posting improved, that's why he went down my list of suspects. Right now, he's absolutely everywhere. He's not making sense at all to me. Usually, i can get where he comes from, but here.... nope. I think he's a good one for today

Well, he did play his innocent child role exactly like that. That's the only game I've had with him so not enough for real meta but you were in that game. Also, there's a person in this game that uses precisely that strategy when he/she is a cop. I'm not saying who specifically I have that meta intel on in case it becomes important later but suffice it to say that's a legit strategy - to quasi-lurk and stay out of the conversation so scum don't notice you. I think you know this.

is this a discussion about mechanics and optimal play?

anyway jmm played this game a lot differently.

Sili... it's the way i read you. You started off quite... well, wolfy... D1. Later, you made more sense, got your thoughts together and posts were well done imo. You seem rather jittery and all over the place right now.

There's actually a big difference between being clumsy enough to draw attention to a PR hint publicly *before* a night kill, and clumsily trying to "distance from it" afterwards.

I actually saw the hint myself, but didn't believe it, much like Sili seems to have done.  I was actually on the point of asking Thane why he answered BFG's "vig/doc/cop" query with a doc on jmm, until I remembered that Thane actually seemed to buy it.

My questioning Sili on his statement that he didn't know why scum would have thought jmm was a PR was sufficient for that point.  Everyone saw what he wrote, and can draw their own conclusions from it - were you expecting me to continue to flog a dead horse?  He said what he said, after which I continued to try to clarify several of his statements, and pointed out that he was ducking responsibility for his reads, making suggestions that he later claimed not to believe himself, and refusing to explain why he thought people were scum - even to the point of stating that they weren't actually his scum reads.

Are you suggesting that I'm not following up on Sili as a potential scum suspect?  Do you think I should be doing more here?
