what i think happened during last night isn't necessarily what actually happened, just my personal idea of the events. And nobody stepping forward will not solve anything either. 

 

I'm no experienced player, so yeah... i type what makes sense to me, not necessarily something that would make sense to others. 

 

Being serious now, your thought process will say a lot about your motivation. We're all right about some things and wrong about others, but one thing we will do is get stuck in our own thinking. 

 

I'm asking you what you think because it's different and could add some perspective to other folk's ways of thinking, including mine.

If I was going to spell it out, I already would have.

 

The idea is to spot the connections without giving the opposition their talking points - nobody gets pocketed without advertising first that they are able to be pocketed. Loos lips and all that... Make sense?

As for my way of thinking: i try to be as clear as possible when people ask me my opinion. I tried to, and am still trying to, fully figure out what happened N1. The theory i posted makes most sense to me. True, the RB'ers could have been active, but it's not guaranteed that they 'hit target'. The player list is extensive this game and targeting the right player D1 is just a lucky shot (sort of speak)

In the interests of learning from past mistakes (switching focus off of Yates in the middle of LINK

Sorry Sili! I know I switched my vote to DPR and mentioned that I wasn’t sure on you, but in the end I was still blinded by the fact I thought that you were Scum. Lesson learnt, and thanks for the insights you provided into Yates, even if I promptly forgot them when I suddenly associated you with someone else I thought was Scum.

 

So. I’m trying to be more open-minded. I’ve tried a little re-read/recap from around p.41 and here’s some thoughts so far.

 

I had Yates as off. I should not have been so quick to drop that.

I also had Thane and Barm as a little off too. Why ever did I drop those since?

 

Turns out, Nyn had a bad juju read on Barm and Verb too - and Barm never answered my questions sufficiently.

 

I also had initial suspicions about Des, but dropped them ‘cos I liked the way he wrote his post. ><

 

And now it turns out that, straight out the gate Day 2, Thane and Des are pushing Wombat, claiming that he saw himself getting town read yesterday when his "whole demeanour changed" Link and Link

Barm brings up ‘concern’ over Kiv positioning himself as town leader and I run with the questions along that line. Barm is the first to answer, suggesting doom if Kiv is Scum and placating it with ‘but if he is town then we’re doing well’ followed by an ominous warning of ‘It isn’t something that can be ignored.’ Darth jumps in and says he likes Barm’s line of questioning but he doesn’t think Kiv has Town cred. Is Barm setting Kiv up for a lynch? If yes what does this mean? Especially since Kiv is on the anti-Wombat wagon too? Is Barm distancing himself from Des and Thane on purpose?

 

Kiv is potentially buddying me, but also potentially pointing me in the right direction and giving me some advice.

 

Pralaya jumps in out of nowhere and posts a vote for Tress. Nyn jumps on Pralaya over something to do with CFD (**What is this??**) and calls him a fake. Later votes for Pral. I haven’t been following his storyline so I have no idea why.

 

I jump back into what is becoming a bad habit of running with somebody else’s bait and push a big investigation into Wombat. ><

 

Pral makes a snipe at Thane that may or may not be justified.

 

DPR weighs in. Apparently ‘refuses’ to believe a possible acknowledgement of my realisation that although (as Kiv mentioned post #1594) I have a natural facility for logic, argument and writing, I suck somewhat because I’m inexperienced in the nuances and just the general play of this game. Whatevs. As of now I’m not just trusting no one, I’m fully suspecting EVERYONE, forevermore.

Thane posts a massive ‘Townie’ post and switches focus from Wombat, mentioning his association against DPR, to a vote on Pral for reasons I actually don’t understand – probably because I’m a noob and don’t understand the nuances of CFD (Help, please, someone?). Could also possibly be because I'm wondering if Thane just wanted in on a rolling target.

Barm weighs in 'for' me again with ways to catch out my 'favourite' suspects, Kiv and DPR, followed by a ‘friendly’ and ‘subtle’ suggestion that ‘my’ idea of looking into Wombat is a ‘safe’ bet too. Mmmhmm. He mentions Kiv thinks Wombat is SK, not scum.

 

Des turns back up to have another ‘youmightbescum’ stab at Kiv. Gets back onto the stuff I don’t understand about Pralaya and bussing etc. Grr..

 

Pral accuses Nyn of overreaching, Des turns on Pral using stuff I don’t understand 

 

DPR poses the question of ‘what if Kiv and I aren’t Scum’? And surprise surprise I find myself more willing than before to consider this an option.

 

Des mentions he intends to table DPR, although he apparently still thinks his push on Sili was quite scum.

 

Stuff goes on.

 

Kiv playing the 'neutral' mentor for me once again mentions Barm’s question re her Town-leader claim was odd, considering that it would only be seen as something potential would be… oh hang on. People like me.

 

 

And, having just potentially learnt a very big pride>>>fall type lesson, I decide to just start again. Go back and try to do a good recap, without being so easily blind, and now that’s come full circle. And I think there are some very interesting points there, wouldn’t you agree?

 

Unfortunately, All of a sudden I’m pages and pages and pages behind and I don’t know what I’ve missed. I’m sorry if this has all been covered. But I’m posting this anyway because it may or may not be worthy, and I don’t have time to keep trying to catch up. I’m out tomorrow but will try and pop in here and there for a re-think.

 

While I’m gone - someone ‘help’ me out and ‘explain’ the thing with Pral? And terms like bussing and COD? I can't find them in the Wiki or on Google  .

Now; CFD = Chinese fire drill. Usually happens at EOD (End of Day) to move votes from one train to another to possibly achieve a lynch. 

 

It is true that Wombat seemed off end Day 1. For the moment, i have a scumlean on him. Pral however, pings at me more. I did make a post explaining why i think so and i did vote him for that.

CFD is a Chinese fire drill. It's basically everyone switching to X person last minute. Though Thane has a lot more experience with it than me  *snerk*

Arsis/Pral slot was the leading train for a big chunk of D1. Pral showing up all.... Good try Yates... and trying to portray it like a now confirmed scum was trying to "CFD" him is iffy . First of all, it wasn't a CFD. He and Sili were neck in neck ages before the deadline. I think he overplayed it. I also didn't like his defense at me suggesting that Yates was bussing him by saying scum are very unlikely to do it in this setup. I think it's a bunch of woo-aaah.
