i dislike this vote, Soyo was hardcore after you as scum yet you keep yourself on the fence with a "i'm not sure if he is scum" reluctant vote. knew he was gonna flip townie Hoof and trying to CYA?

 

well, i was never convinced he was scum. just because someone came after me doesnt mean i have to go after him as well. that is a silly reason to think someone is scummy, unless they are using really bad reasoning and you think they are just grasping at straws to get you killed.

As Red asked... for the D1, I'm not entirely sure what to think. Originally I'd have thought Tina as mafia but she was innocent after all. So that made me re-think everything. And I'm still kinda processing that all.

I'm personally really suprised that Soy and Tina both were town. Both seemed scummy to me, but maybe El Scumdar is malfunctioning this go-round. And Hoof, in answer to your question, I unvoted because while your actions seemed scummy on D1, it wasn't scummy enough to warrant a vote imo after some soul-searching.

 

That all being said, my list of suspects (in order of scumminess):

 

1. Sakaea

2. Maw

3. Hoof

 

Why no vote you all ask? Because as I said, my readings in this game have all been incorrect to this point and I don't want to risk us losing another townie due to my screwed up play. And also because most everyone else so far hasn't really done anything FoS-worthy to this point. It seems to me as if everyone is being very, very careful in this one. And with the length of the days in this one, we have enough time to seriously consider what we're going to do. As long as everyone makes the effort to be active and contribute, which I hope we all do.

Similar argument for yesterdays lynch. Just cause Soy flipped town doesn't make the reasoning for the lynch bad, just ultimately incorrect. As such I'm willing to carry over the reasoning to Mawth, as his joining did ultimately seem a bit worse than Soys initial argument.

Actually, I wasn't implying he should reveal. I can see how you are construing that I said that, but all I meant was that repeatedly stating he's town seems like scum that can't come up with a better defense. Obviously, that wasn't the case here, tho.

Upon finishing my re-read i feel that Kae is the most suspicious, her obvious rolefishing followed by denial and then admitting to the rolefishing really feels like scrambling to defend and when it doesn't work changing tack. She is closely followed by Hoof and Womby - despite my lack of evidence. I am getting a strange feeling from Maw - i am watching him but nothing has struck me as overt, yet.

Meesh - you've moved up higher on my list. i find your original vote scummy. as i've said I DONT BUY YOUR REASONING. i've posted that three times now and now in caps since you've obviously missed it. the fact i find it ping worthy is not up for debate, nor will i enter into a debate about it with you. aside from the initial post and your now over reaction to it, this is all i find scummy about you. the fact you keep trying to turn this ant hill into some sort of full on debate pings me greatly as you having somethign to cover and scrambling. if your scum, your only furthering to bring the spot light to you; if your town, your making the scums job of hiding much easier. i'd suggest, for your own sake, you drop it becuase my mind is set regaurdless of how you may feel abotu it.

Couple things about this. Why is the word "joke" in quotes?

 

because i have no clue whose scum, i have no clue whose vote is really a joke vote and whose a scum feigning a joke vote. because you guys are on my suspect list, i'm more critical of your supposed joke votes.

 

When you show up to a game, your first vote is an unsubstantiated joke.

 

i disagree with this. i've withheld voting until i found a scummy person to vote on D1. it's the trend now to always joke vote D1, but that hasn't always been the case and honestly (given certain exceptions) i'm tiered of this trend and think the joe votes do more harm than good for the town.

What ends up happening on D1 (at least as far as i can see from the games i've participated in) is that the day is mostly wasted in joking around, the deadline comes up, people panic, and the person with the most joke votes ends up getting lynched.

 

this depends on your perception of D1. i've seen scum get lynched on D1, in fact i've personally sniffed out and lead trains on scum D1. if you treat D1 like its some wasteful day, don't expect to get much info out of it. since you say you dislik this type of D1 play, then change how you play D1 and your perception of D1. and actaully, i've yet to play in a game where a perosn is lynch froma joke vote reason, generally theres atleast 1 scummy thing their lynched from.

I dislike it when that happens, so I thought that Sakaea's idea was a good one and could help avoid that by getting rid of some of the joke trains. Combined with the long D1, it did. Soy was looking fairly scummy, and gave us good info to work off of.

 

players who treat D1 as a regular day and not as a waste generally don't pay attention to "joke" trains, unless it's to FoS people over it. you 3 dumping your joke votes did nothing for the Soy trian and did more to put the FoS on ya'll. besides, a single vote on a person does not a train make, so to think that joke votes would stop a real train from starting. not to mention the fact you fail to see how scum could jump in with a trend like this to CTA.

 

You say nothing about role fishing in the second post of your recap, and my only quote there is impossible to interpret that way.

 

i never pointed to you about role fishing, that was Sakaea. if you read my post (even the one you quoted) again, i've accuse Sakaea of role fishing. guilty by association or trying to help out a team mate Maw. this jumping to conclusions makes me very happy as to how high up on my list you are.

 

Either you guys read way too much into little things, or I read way too little into them. Why does the fact that I defend people who I don't think should be wronged make me scum?

Just a reminder the deadline is tomorrow. When I go to sleep (I don't know when that will be) I'll probably wake up just a few hours before it's tomorrow so you guys have approximately 15 hours before the deadline hits. Also I'm still looking for a replacement for Song. Not sure what to do if I can't find one. I'm thinking I may just modkill her character alongside the Night actions if I can't find anyone by the time Day 3 is ready to start. I'd ask how you guys feel about that but some of you are scum and biased. :P

 

I'll think about it in the meantime. Maybe it wont be necessary. If any of you are overly worried about it feel free to ask your friends to join!

@Red, I wasn't looking for a debate, I was giving you a final chance to read my reasoning. Before, you made it seem like you'd only read my reason for voting Ley in the post itself, and then after that you ignored my explanation for changing votes and just focused on how I said I was trying to help move the game along, not what I did to do it. Fair enough, if you think my vote-changing was jokey and my claim to try and help the game along is BS, and you've actually read my reasons, which I feel make perfect sense, especially since my efforts actually worked believe it or not, then obviously there's nothing more I can say.

 

Actually, I was going to avoid voting Red because of the "late hour," but Hoof only has 2 votes on him atm, and with mine, so would Red.

FYI, I don't like the easy "un-countered doc thinks someone is scummy so since I can't vote the doc I'll vote her suspect" vote. Personally, I thought Ama's case against Kae was pretty valid. Saying "That makes sense" and following along isn't necessarily scummy. Granted, I'm not saying Hoof is entirely free of suspicion, but at this point I'm getting a more actual-scum feel from Red's actions than Hoof's. Hoof just seems careless and lazy, not necessarily bad. I'm willing to go either way depending on how this falls out, but I feel more strongly about Red.
