Well I don't think I've said it outright but I am town.... and to be honest the whole "hoof is an easy target so he must be scum" theory is even worse than Red's "he's a train hunter" theory.

Because I don't think you're an "easy" target. At least not easier than anyone else. You're actions just seem like the scummiest to me at the moment. Granted it's not the strongest case, but then again it's day one, and the other vote trains are weaker in my opinion.

I vote NO LONGER DAY!!!!!! if we can't decide on a lynch with over a week to go, then that's how it goes. A longer day won't change laziness >.>

His actions are the scummiest? Really? It seems to me as if Hoof is in a "Damned if you do and damned if you don't" situation. Post on D1 and he gets lynched. Don't post on D1 and he still gets lynched. And for those who haven't played with me before, I am the single, biggest opponent of meta-reasoning. Hoof is lynched on D1 every game he's in. Does this mean he's not scum this go-round? Who knows, he very well could be. I certainly don't know at this point. But I have yet to see a "scummy" post from Hoof that would lead me to believe that he warrants a vote on him. And I get that he originally said that he was going to lay low to avoid his usual D1 lynch, but I also get his desire to actually be involved. Signing up for a game and then just lurking while waiting to see how everything plays out is a scum tactic, period, as far as I'm concerned. So I have no desire at all to make a case on Hoof, I would much rather see how everyone reacts to Hoof's play, which looks to me as someone who would rather be involved in Nol's game as opposed to just someone who wants to just skate through. And whether he's scum or not, that's a playstyle I'd rather deal with with.

 

That being said, my list of who appears scummiest:

 

Soy

Maw

 

Those who don't:

 

Red (Again, I refuse to meta...)

Tina (I'm completely OK with her questioning my playstyle....it's been off for whatever reasons)

 

Those that I'm unsure of:

 

BG (But again, I won't vote due to meta, but I never can get a read on you.....good player I suppose)

Wom (You always seem scummy to me, so I have to have a really good reason to vote for you)

Ley (You are always opposed with Maw so I have to assume that you two will use this to your advantage eventually) [Meta-read, so I'm a hypocrite, I get it]

Song (Not enough info, I'll need more to go on)

 

At this point, I'm OK with my vote on Mr. Soy, because I believe that a vote on Hoof is entirely too easy, scummy and lazy. We have a fortnight for you to convince me otherwise, so let's see what you can provide to sway my opinion. If we need to make a move I have no problems with moving my vote to Maw.

That's exactly what he was doing until he got called on it!!!!! He may have been making posts but they weren't contributing in the slightest. So how does you not seeing him as scummy make sense??? Makes me think you two are together. You're the only one to defend him so vehemently. Others have voted for me but just becasue I think they're using your "easy" resoning.

 

As to you're meta reasoning. You can't use that against me becasue this is like only the second game I've played with him. I had no idea he had a "get lynched" on day one streak until it was mentioned here.

He said that he would like to play the game with someone who is involved and not skating through. Then he he said that your play style is one that he can deal with even though you self proclaimed that you'd rather jus skate through day one. Yeah you've been posting but until just recently you haven't been contributing and "skating by" So he's contradicting himself in his own post. That say's to me that if he doesn't want skaters, he at least wants you to skate by. So how am I twisting anything?

 

P.S. That is the only thing that I could see that might be misconstrued as twising. If you thought I was twisting something else please enlighten me.

I didn't expect to be able to post today, but I actually have some time...

 

And thanks to Nol for giving me the extra time to handle my RL problems.

I wouldn't be terribly against extending the deadline even a little further if there's a general consensus for it

we've had a few absences and partial absences so far and it seems like everyone has been a bit busy

what do you guys think? should the deadline be extended a few more days?

I'm asking now because I don't want desperate townies wanting a deadline just because they haven't come to a decision yet :tongue:

I don't like that. You reply to one sentence, but don't read the sentences before and after it, which say that it is different this time, because it is not fun to be lynched each day one because your play style. I think he also wants to play a real game once. He is not always scum, so just let him survive at D1, then see if he is still scummy in your opinion. We know we have weak cases on D1 (except if someone makes a mistake), and for some reason, we can always make a weak case on Hoof. But on D2, we don't have a stronger case on him (if he still lives), so then, his case isn't the strongest. I guess that it'll be different if he is scum.

 

And because you just ignore the other sentences, I think you are most scummy. For now, I will VOTE Soy.

So let me get this straight... you won't vote for him because you feel bad that he get's voted on D1 a lot? That is one of.... if not the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. If D1 is such a problem for hoof, maybe he should examine what he is doing to make him such a target on D1. I don't know about past games.

 

But I guess I can be bigger than my pride. If me not voting him will save me from being lynched (which will help the town because I am town) then fine. Unvote. BTW If he turns up Mafia... I am going to do the biggest freaking "I TOLD YOU SO" dance in history, and you can all laugh at me if I was wrong.

 

So what else is there to go on. Pretty much nothing. Let's hope for one of your mistakes.... or I guess I'm toast and the town is -1.

I must admit that I feel sorry for Blackhoof when he constantly gets lynched on day 1 and I can understand his first post (which I think was made in a humorous way). I thought Soy´s case on him was weak (still think) and wondered if he went after an easy day 1 target. Even though he hasn´t played much with Blackhoof his mafia friends might have told him where to vote.

 

But...the "I would never vote Blackhoof on day 1" post are terrible. If anyone presents a good case on him, would you still let him pass? FOS @ Ley

Less than a week, lol. I'm sure we'll get one.

 

And I will not give my vote to Hoof if he doesn't play different from other games, in which he was Town. If I think "he really plays different", he'll get my vote. For some reason, his play style is just vulnerable for D1 lynches.
