Interesting. I wish more of the podcasters had done some research on the subject before the show so we could get more opinions and discussion instead of listening to them doing research during the show. Good show though.
the correlations between the folklore, of present day and past days, are so intertwined, that i'm not surprised of the crossovers between wot and norse/asian/north american and many other nations, intentional or accidental :)
Special thanks to the 13th Depository for doing most of the research for this podcast.
I can't believe this never aired in the states, but if you can get the DVDs I recommend you do! You mentioned the monkey king, or as we know him "Great Sage, Equal of Heaven. http://en.wikipedia....nkey_(TV_series) BTW, a person is never hung, they are HANGED, just a bugbear of mine. As in th Joe Abercrombie book.
Oh, by the way, I think Andrew asked who was going to get Odins 8 legged horse, Stayer and Stepper are composites of Stepnir!
Really? 2 months since the last podcast? You guys do realise that we love the shows and can't get enough of them!! Thanks for all the hard work by the way :-) x
They just turned in a couple more episodes--one that I put on our front page today, and one that will be published next Wednesday (their regular day). They've been really busy, but it looks like they'll have more soon.
