Audiobook Giveaway: Crossroads of Twilight

Posted by Dwynwen on Oct 17 2012 05:10 PM under in Audio Books

It's time for another giveaway!  Here are the rules again for those who aren't familiar with them:

Macmillan Audio has partnered with us to bring you an amazing opportunity once again. We are going to give away free copies of each audiobook in the Wheel of Time series between now and when the final book is published.
On the first Wednesday of each month (and on the first and third Wednesdays of the month once we get to the final few books), I will post an audio clip for one of the audiobooks. The book featured in the clip will be the one we're giving away at the time.
As each clip is posted online, I will randomly select three winners to receive either a free digital audiobook download or a free CD. This contest is open to anybody world-wide, but non-US residents can only receive the digital download.
Entering to win is simple. Every time I post an audio clip, I will post a topic for discussion. Just post a response to the discussion question in the comments section of each news article. The winners will be randomly selected from the comments section exactly one week after I post the article.
There can be only one entry per person each time I put up an article. You cannot win more than once for this audiobook promotion.
If you are selected as a winner, I will PM you to notify you and request your contact information. Make sure to check your PMs, because if I still cannot reach you after two weeks from the date of my first PM, your prize will be given to another randomly drawn winner.

This time, we will be giving away a copy of Crossroads of Twilight.  I haven't received the audio clip from Macmillan yet, but will add it here if/when I do.
This giveaway's question is:  If you could be any non-human character from the series, what type would you be and why?  You have until Wednesday, October 24th to answer in the comments section.  Good luck!

I wouldn't mind being a Nym, I've always wished I could have a green thumb :P
definately a wolf... the way of the wolf is peace.
I would be a meegerling, because if you are going to be stupid, might as well do it like a BOSS!!
i would definitely be mandarb , because carrying the most honorable man to the war is the most honorable action
Bella, because she's clearly THE fan favorite.
I'd be a Lopar, they seem like they're not to be messed with. However, I do like the meegerling answer above haha.
I'd also have to say, a Wolf. They're dedicated to each other, honor bound and absolutely HATE the "shadow". Being a "Wolfbrother" would be also vey cool.
Shaidar Haran, Powerful and a better version then normal myddraals and can use the power. He might be evil but he is really cool.
Ogier. Live for centuries, love reading and learning, swings a mean axe. Honestly, I'm surprised I'm the first one to pick them.
I would be a cat that lives at in an inn who's job is to kill all the rats.
Ogier; what could be a better life than living forever in the tree and reading a seemingly endless supply of books?
I want to be a Gholam. I could go anywhere I want and no one could do anything to me. I think they must be able to live a long time too.
I would be an Ogier, hands down. Live super long, read a tremendous amount, live in peaceful pockets of paradise, able to sing objects out of trees, what more could you ask for?
I'd be an Orgier, Live Long, slow to anger, love to read & write, Love of Trees.
I think I would have to choose Ogier as well, I love reading, and enjoy nature, but more than that the Ogier have a great respect for nature, but they are willing to take up the axe and fight if they see the need, gotta respect that :)
No doubt about it, I would be an Ogier. I already always carry a book around with me everywhere. Plus I would get to sing to the trees and be total badass when the situation requires it.
I would have to say Gholam. Being an immortal creature capable of getting into the tiniest hole and being feared by almost all, including powerful Aes Sedai, would be exquisite.
I'd be one of the finns. It seems like they are the most shrouded in mystery and I think it would be interesting to know more about what they are and how they do what they do.
I'd be a raken. They kind of look like dragons, but smaller..and are very fast and graceful fliers. They are herbivores......I like their determination to fly even if they are injured. ^_^
I'd be an Ogier. I would love to live for hundreds of years and just read all those books about Randland.
I was originally going to say that I would like to be an Ogier, but since many have said this already let me try something outragous: I would like to be the Creator, and actually step in to help Rand and company before diaster strikes.
Fox!!! I like making them ravens fly :)
Ogier do have a lot of appeal, but nobody is speaking up for the slat ribbed dogs that are in every city it seems, so that's me.
I... I think I would have to be a blacklance. It seems to be the only animal in these books that runs no chance of getting killed, hehe.
Mashadar... though I wonder if it counts as a non-human entity or more of a sympathetic parasite with "shady" intentions... Being a third alternative to the Light and Dark paradigm and immortality has an allure all its own....It is difficult to know the exact effect it had on Padan Fain, that poor guy has had a tough few years... the only friends he can get are zombie <<<<<s after all...
