What's your thoughts on Calder?

Randomly pushing a lynch in the way he has seems incredibly obnoxious. For scum to do it and keep doing it this late into the day phase while providing absolutely zero other contribution seems like a ridiculously shitty way to draw attention to yourself. If he's scum, what would really be the point? I dunno, it would seem to be just a terrible play to me. On the other hand, it would appear he's almost succeeding given the amount of attention I'm getting. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm leaning town.

Town reading him for basically doing nothing makes it pretty easy to get away with, no?

I'm not town reading him for doing nothing. I'm town reading him for openly playing like a moron while seemingly sticking to his guns despite the fact he's going to obviously get flack for it.

1st bold: I see what calder means about aj egging him on. The exchange seemed fine before, but now knowing he wasn't town I can see the ulterior motive here.

 

2nd bold: Still don't get what this is about. Only way Calder would know he was "obviously getting flack" is if he was scum, and knew tink was town. But tink was reading calder as town so this makes 0 sense.

With him, the progression in thread for him, the way his reads change, it just doesn't feel fake to me.

We should not change the nature of the crime by the person who commits it. You suggested my play was "strange" because I was too neutral...now we see the same thing in Eldrick and you're OK with it. This is looks like Situational Ethics. It's early so I will not vote you for it here but it's something that bears watching.

But it does. All humans are different and should be treated as such. If I do something, it has different implications than if someone like say, AJ, did it. We are two different people with different playstyles.

Id appreciate seeing more folks weigh in on the whole situational ethics bit. Hally has a good response but I think it's an alignment indicative post for NB and I honestly dont know what I think of it.

Touching up on this because I forgot to and I think it went ignored.

 

Hally's view on this is also my view. It depends on the person. You can't treat everyone by the se standards.

I am saying i agre that everyone back slapping over bfg's lynch because of sooh left me with a meh feeling. I think the slot still looks bad because of AJ's flip and nyn's flip.

Last game was my only experience with Pral in my memory. Yet I saw obvious intelligence in his reads and ability to be outside the box with them.

 

That being said this reads list IS THE BOX. If I was scum trying to give a fake reads list that wouldnt get me into trouble I dont know what I would shift in this. Dont like it one bit.

I tried in the sense that I challenged Pral on the idea that the movement off Darthe post claim to DPR is townie. I think it is null to the extreme. Both town and scum would leave Darthe after that claim. So it is useless.
