WoTFAQ - Was it ever finished?

As I am beginning to listen to the audio books for the first time, I felt like rereading the WoTFAQ as I went, and wondered if there was ever a final version of it, with the questions all answered as best as they could be?  The last I have found is dated 2010, and was before A Memory of Light was published.  An e-Book of it would be a-maze-ing! (hint, hint) Pretty please!?

But it was stored on Dragonmount and Jennifer L was a big contributor

Storing on here was just a rescue mission - sort of. And when was the last time/period when Jenny posted actively?

I chatted with the 'Founding Fanthers and Mothers' more than a decade ago last time, and most of them was not interested in WOT anymore. You should could ask this from Leigh and others, they just have moved on.

And honestly, we are way over the WOTFAQ in these days.

By the way, it was interesting to see the new wave of readers after WH/COT. They became the greatest theorists, posters. But even they do not post anymore.

And many disappointed fans gave up on the series after the slowness of the later books. (Not to mention the 'official' ending: "This is the ending???")

Or when a side got a new look, and its users departed.
They also departed certain sites when popular members were banned.

Many sites ran out of money, and its users did not join other sites.

Or see case of Wotmania: there is rafo (with similar UI), but the members did not migrated to the new site.

You could say it's a natural process, but experiencing things like that in such a rapid way (read under a few years) ...

Well, there is the new Companion book which was published on Nov. 3rd. It even includes such facts as why the Aes Sedai are so fascinated with Nyneave's strength...her OP strength is equal to that of Caraigan Maconar, who was considered to be the greatest Amrylin ever and also was the strongest Aes Sedai since the AoL. However, I was disappointed with it since like every WoT FAQ I've ever read, there were many glaring errors. What do I mean? For example, Aviendha's potential OP strength is listed as being 3 levels below that of Egwene/Elayne, even though the books MANY times state that her potential equals theirs.

A lot of people were promised RAFO's and never had it answered in the books.  I think Alan and Maria released some clarifications and we were waiting on the companion to answer the rest and it didn't.  I'm with those still wanting to know, lol!

  But I really thinks leaving many things unanswered is way better than having answers in clay tablets

My biggest peeve is Thom's Second Best knives and the blue lightning.  We were RAFO'd and it wasn't answered.  I always suspected Thom came across some power-wrought knives, but later editions had that scene changed slightly to the flash happening as Thom met the Myrdraal.  Maybe the knives were special ones Lan spoke of that were weapons that used the OP.  Maybe they allowed him his Gleeman tricks and to remain spry in his old age.  Maybe not power wrought in that sense but Ter'angreal?

That's the way RJ wanted it, he said he wasn't a fan of everything being explained.  So I assume he was going to leave a lot of questions unanswered and not tie up every loose end.

about the encyclopaedia site; the whole site I take is updated through Towers of Midnight.  the chapter summaries are updated through chapter 4 of Memory of Light.

Steven Cooper's timeline has info for the prequel through Gathering Storm; and much of Gathering Storm's events have question marks for the dates.

the only WOT info site that seems to be "fully" updated (through Memory of Light) seems to be Thirteenth Depository.  http://13depository.blogspot.com/

Unfortunately, it's a casualty of my job changing scope. As I've shifted from being a classroom teacher with full summers off, to an Instructional Technology Specialist with summer responsibilities, I've had less "extra" time. And a good chunk of that "extra time" now goes into JordanCon. We're edging up on 1,000 people attending now, so that takes some of my energy. At some point it'll be updated. Either by me, or someone new. I just can't say when.

I'm confused why there are two wotfaqs on steelypips (one from 2004, another from 2010) and one is directed to the one on dragonmount, but that version throws an error page saying ownership changed and it will be updated soon. I has a confused! Which should I use?
