I addressed this pretty thoroughly a few pages back and he still gives me the heebie jeebies every other time he posts but I have to try and read him as Eldrick and not generic person playing Mafia.  And when I think about it too long my head just goes "quit wasting your time and read Sooh".

Zander and I have been cautiously kind and loving.

 

It's kind of weird.

 

The game's certainly a lot more enjoyable trying to read him this way than via the classic 30 page thunderdome.

Red not specific to D1 so much as thinking when you're Town you're OBVTown unless you ping and raise suspicion. Checking in on each of your raidars. When we hydra'd you pinged both Z and I D1, and we discussed it early in our thread.

 

His answer could be legit or hedgey. NFI what I think it is yet, but I know when he's Town and you ping to me, you probably ping to him too.

My Dice logic is based on him still playing like I saw before, but it was surprising that his venom wasn't pointed at me. As I said, the tricky thing with meta is that I don't know if the difference is his own play or mine, but his actual actions seem to favor town so far.

Yes, I decided to create a reads list when it was pointed out I hadn't provided much substance. If that's not at least equal in validity to an OMGUS vote, then I don't know what is. Oh, except that I provided reasons with mine. 

 

My focus has been as broad as I can make it so far. As for meta - Yes, i finally have some to use, so I'm using it as sparingly as I can, while only having so much to go off from the current game so far. Based on the CURRENT game, I have found your play less in the service of town, and more in the service of OMGUS and being defensive. That - I get a bad vibe from.

Whoa now, im totally working, im just not digging backwards. Thats the past, and I wanna look ahead.

Not willing to go back and read, to develop reads on people, while asking said people what has happened.Not only not counted as working, but actually scummy. That you are willing to accept someone's answer without having a clue if they are town or not.

Without having read anything but this page since I said I was gonna go read, bold feels reachy if serious.

Darthe will walk all over this accusation as either alignment imo, Eldrick are you serious?

What do you mean by 'accept someone's answer' etc? Possibility for spin there seems off.

How else would you expect someone to approach a newcomer here?

The problem isn't only with asking what's going on. It's with saying he isn't going to read.

Which implies he will take what is said for granted. Tell me, how is that villagery? Only way for him to know what is being said is true is

A) Someone disputes it.

B) He already knows who is scum by being scum.

I don't see town taking the risk that what is being said is true without going back to read and check. That is a scum play if I've ever seen one.

To answer Darthe, here's my current-game reasons for leaning town on Dice:

re monstrs core  he asked people he has meta with is how i looked at it and whose responses he was happy with. It is a common thing to ask opinions of people you are trusting or who are on the same wavelength as you.

 

He gave a clear, concise defense of someone I was beginning to FOS. He didn't jump onto a train, he provided information I had asked for and needed to make a decision, and that just feels town at this point in the game. HIs comment and subsequent dealings with Zander:

Notice tho that I voted Zander and he hasnt said a WORD about it despite replying to things posted after it.

 

Combined with Zander's OMGUS vote on me after my first reads list makes me wonder if my town lean on Dice following this exchange didn't ruffle his feathers. Feeling a bit more confident on my Zander read too. 

 

For Sooh, most of her posts were before and at page 21, and looked like this:

I can't base a read off that, so I went on what I had with the other head of the hydra. 

 

For Calder, his activity ceases around the same time. Most of it is regarding sandwiches and whatnot, but that's how he started last game as well. his few game related posts didn't give me huge vibes either way, but it's an early D1 read. 

 

What troubles me is both Zander AND Darthe's snap votes on me. Sure Darthe asked questions, and him claiming he won't read is both false and perfectly in line with his play, but Zander literally said he just did it as OMGUS, which seems a bad reason when responding to an entire reads list. Zander also doesn't seem the type to just vote when town and scum hunting, he's well-spoken enough to create a case or at least an FOS
