Hackers Mafia - Game Thread [Game Over]

Ok, I made it through page 50 something yesterday and am going to have to switch to ISO's since there's no way I'm going to be able to read through before deadline

 

 

Ignoring Zanders first half of the game he's looked good. A majority of his questions have had a purpose behind them, they're questions I expect from town!Zander (albeit the obvious ones he'll ask as mafia), he's not had a mafia game this involved since Matrix/Besshydragame. Some of his interactions with Shad don't look like m/m (specifically the stuff where Zander points out post Shad lynch that Shad used his kids in a mafia game against him, Shad saying that stuff against a teammate is possible, Zanders reaction looked unlikely. If I have tinfoil it's in the lack of questioning me, but that's minor in the broader context of his game. He's had several moments of throwing toys out the pram (Pizza/Sooh have a better way of describing this). I don't see myself tinfoiling here

 

Sock; Sooh has been clear of any mafia range I have for her in terms of engagement of thread. She tends to be cleaner as mafia (not sure if that was changed in Pirates), her early ISO's had no agenda that I could see. Eldrick is within town meta, I can't say for sure he's out of mafia meta, I have a tendency to clear him too easily. I don't think he votes Shad Day 1 if they were teammates, I don't recall that Eldrick is an overly keen busser. He's been operating with no filter and generally has a logic behind his observations, even if it's not one I always understand

 

Their interactions as a hydra seem townie/open, Eldricks chafing at times feels honest as does Sooh's frustration.

 

Shad was town reading them early and easily, he'd do this regardless of their alignment, but he never seemed bothered about their train and for a long time Day 1 they were a serious lynch possibility.

Dice; was null on Nyn. Dice was good in thread yesterday and rereading the first 50 pages there was more from him than I remember (e.g. intervening with Manbat to keep him interested in the game), his tone is direct. I have some issues with his read on Zander during Day 2 (? when he said Zander was improving, but didn't trust the motivation and was still scum because not obvious town or similar) but I have little context for this. I think in short he has sounded like town! Dice but I can't say he's out of mafia range and it bugs me to not have a stronger read by Day 3

Who would be scum if your top scum is wrong?

 

Dealing with a lylo of 4 - 2 is often best done by not lynching and seeing who's killed by scums.

Absolutely. A town lynch is usually easier to pull off, or at least to get it more votes than 2.

 

 

 

 

^This is actually perfect.  Eldrick is more interested in creating conflicts and or traps for me than he is in securing a vote where he thinks its best.

Btw, Monstr last night was almost verbatum of his last scum game on Mafia Universe, even down to him being worried about me pocketing him.

Also Cass has been generally villagery so far. Doing pretty much everything I expect town!Cass to, can't hate it.

No genuine frustration or confusion, Im not seeing those really strong questions/probes/comments yet that me go WOW never thought o fit like that.

I haven't been frustrated because I'm controlling my play time better and people aren't grilling me for stupid reasons. It's quite refreshing actually.

 

Cass is fine Dice is probably fine you've looked a lot better than you did in the first 24 hours. Darthe's apathetic which is annoying but typical for his town game. NotBob's been a lot more active than his last wolf game.

 

I stand by Sooh's tone being villagery but it's a lot harder for me to read her when she's being defensive and I hope to see scum hunting in the posts I've yet to read.

 

amega and Pral don't exist.

 

Felt like Random has been misrepping things and I'm curious how Calder responded to my question irt his Eldrick/Sooh reads.

tbf Cass has been posting pretty much exactly how I expect her to, asking a ton of questions and weighing a lot on who she's mindmelding with. Tone feels right, style feels right, no clue what to expect from her wolf game my WoW ISOs be damned, but it's walking and quacking like a duck so far.

because they are good fairly non committal ways to give someone a town lean. easy to flip on if their town easy to make if their ure scum buddy without being tied to it in bands of steel

Dice would be my next best guess of town, but I wish I was more confident

In reality I'm probably having issues because he's been quieter this game than normal and that's probably null, I did like our interactions yesterday, he clearly has thoughts outside Zander, and as with the Manbat thing it could just be because I've missed them

Just because the talk all day seems to be Cass, and although she's a better mafia than to give up if she flipped mafia I'd discount everything from today in regards connections.

 

Beyond that I don't think that post is impossible from m/m, but depending on how Cass is as mafia may be unlikely

Cass seems scummiest to me at the moment - she's focusing on changing Zanders read and ignoring most other questions. It reminds me a lot of how I treated Cory and/or Chris at different points in Spirited Away. I'm like 80% sure that it was Cass that was valuing Random's attempt of communication, so it seems 'odd' that she is so unconcerned with it. She seems to have contradicted herself in her Zander read (when she entered he was flat, now she values his enthusiasm and she hasn't explained the difference yet). She's been asking a lot of questions, but offering little opinion, I don't see the outcome of all the questions she's asked (desperately need to ISO). But, little things, I vaguely remember a conversation with Cory about Cass's occasional inability to make a decision and move on, but she's had suspects or at least a POE, I just don't recall reasons for them at the time.

 

Manbats entrance wasn't enough for me to town read him straight from it, his emotional posting seemed subdued

It is nearly impossible for me to believe that Zander jumped back a year to his old mafia meta, and improved it. It is nearly impossible for me to believe that you've improved your mafia game so much in the space of 3 games (I know I misread you in our last game on early game tone, but the read I have now is based off a lot more than that this time)

Pral's assumption is wrong though the observation is valid, but I don't know if it's an unreasonable one for him to make. I have nothing that separates his ranges. I thought his Shad observation (but Pral can make good observations as mafia) was valid and thought the lack of vote was a good look, but I don't have anything more to clear him on and that's an issue on Day 3

He's more involved than his recent town games, although I really don't want to scum read someone for being involved

No lynch is almost always the correct answer at mylo instead of lylo, exceptions being where there are mechanically cleared town alive

This is tricky to answer:

It's not supposed to be easy. It's supposed to make you think considering the gravity of being wrong. It's easy to mislynch when you are sure the person is scum. It's designed to put the blinders aside from who you are stuck on as being scum and consider them as town.

At the moment I would need a very good reason to reconsider you/Sooh/Zander

 

So if Cass flipped town I'd be looking at Pral/Dice, if Darthe flipped town then I'd be looking at Pral (Cass/Dice never m/m)

 

But I'm conscious of the fact that I'm still lacking context for a majority of the game and am worried that I'm missing something crucial in the missing stuff :/
