I didn't do all that great but I tried to organize the village at EoD1

Most people seem to be tuning me out anyway afaict

I'm trying to work with you  but literally everyone is frustrated and it's bleeding through, that does not translate to tuning you out

I think your village read on Sooh is wrong and I think your village read on Kat could be wrong too

Sorry if that doesn't make this easier

Liz it's not a disagreement anymore

I'm just trying to ensure you don't wiggle out of the PoE because I know you have the skillset for it and that's dangerous to me

Why do you have Csarmi as town?

At the moment I think I have town reads on you and Nyn, as per my post above. Next best guess is Liz (I know you disagree)

Kat did enough for a Day 1 read and I'm willing to see what she has Day 2. Sooh's dropped rapidly, through a combination of other people looking better and other peoples conviction(?) I guess

Sooh/Liz probably not teamed

'

why

You quoted it, where Sooh is 'nudging' Nyn to mafia read Liz

okay i get what you are saying now

that's not bad, will think about it

Last I heard you thought I sucked as mafia.

And apparently you think I'm bad enough as mafia to try to unnecessarily bus a team mate right out of the gate on D2...

Pral rarely plays at the weekend regardless, I'm hoping he, Kat (and hopefully Hallia) will show up tomorrow

His list was ok, as far as I know not out of any ranges. I like that he took the time to catch up and post thoughts, but I think he'd do that regardless of alignment

This is one of the things I find frustrating about playing here, to be honest. I have the most time on weekends and that seems to be when DMers prefer not to play....

I wonder what it's like to have a life outside of work :P

About Csarmi - his entry into the game bugged me at first, but then he seemed to be trying to balance out reading up on the game and dealing with stuff in real time. I liked that he seemed focused on trying to solve things at end of day.

I have no meta on him, only some reputation kind of things, so one thing I was tinfoiling over last night was whether his ability to jump in with two hours to deadline with a relative sense of calm and centredness is indicative of his usual town play or if he's one of those players who tends to be calm when they're scum and scattered when they're town. So I'm interested in your take on that.

What exactly did he do at EoD that made you feel like he was focused on trying to solve things? And what's your take on him now that he showed up today and doesn't even seem keen on catching up?

As far as meta. I haven't played with him for a long time. What I do remember is that as town he is insufferable, unrelenting, stubborn as **** and never really makes sense to me. And more often than not he gets on my nerves and I end up putting him on ignore. I don't really remember his scum meta.

But BFG and Nyn, I'm interested in your thoughts on Prallia as well.

I was town-reading them based on Pralaya's response to Cory which seemed genuine and thought out. But it kind of bothered me that he kind of peaced out after people started town reading the slot and pressure was off.

I know Hallia's on a roadtrip and when I reread last night I saw that Pralaya is on a holiday weekend, but I'm wondering what your current thoughts are there.

I'll reread him and Hallia tomorrow when I get up and get back to you. My head is about to explode and I really wanna try to sleep rn.

He seemed to be getting involved, presented his thoughts on people and voted, argued his point of view on Sooh (even though I don't agree with it).

But yeah...I want to see what he does today. He's currently in my null pile.

I've seen plenty of experienced players do that. ???

Cory, Liz can you explain your read on Csarmi?

Not sure if my response to Nyn covers it, but basically I thought he looked good for trying to catch up but pay attention to current events in the thread and try to help out in two hours yesterday. I'm looking for feedback from people who have played with him before about whether that fits with what you'd expect for his play either way.
Yeah, caught it thanks

I don't necessarily disagree, just not sure it's enough to cross him out

I'm not crossing him out at this point either.

My grand theory last night was that Alanna, Sooh, and Ironeyes were all teamed, and then this morning before the flips I realized it was impossible for Alanna to be with Sooha nd Ironeyes so I changed it to Alanna plus unknowns vs. Sooh/Ironeyes...and then both Alanna and Ironeyes flipped town :(

so now it's basically going through my nulls list.

So is this why you're voting Sooh?

Good morning! I'm about to do a reread and puy together a reads list. For now I just wanted to mention that I really like this analysis:

Wolf cory doesn't die n1 and doesn't lynch his teammates. Town cory feels townie and may not lunch wolves d1, probably dies n1, and if he doesn't, he goes on to lynch a wolf d2. I thought my comments were fairly self explanatory. Cory doesn't really matter, we're never going to lynch him d1 even if there was a hint he was a wolf so we as might as well not waste time discussing his behavior when he's so self solving.

Gotta ask, what did you love about this exactly? It's not an analysis. It's purely meta based and it sounds like she's not going to address or asses anything that Cory does because she feels it'll just resolve itself. What she's saying is not incorrect in itself irt his town game...though I haven't seen him enough as scum to know if he'll bus or not (I just know when he was teamed with tiinker he didn't)..... but I still feel like it's a bit of a cop out thing to say and somewhat weird considering her commentary when she first entered the game.

What I liked is that it's a plan. Not necessarily one that allows immediate action, but a plan nonetheless. I don't know cory really at all, so having a little meta helps me

i have some trouble believing that Ironeyes' progression on me is

"Him proclaiming he's town pinged me" to

"But people said that's normal" to reading someone saying:

"Well we can't lynch him d1"

and goes "well, I like this plan!"

Sounds like a misrepresentation to me. Ironeyes said he liked there WAS a plan. Which is something I would expect Cory to see.

Alright, I am back from the holiday and fully caught up.

Yes, my vote on Cory wasn't random. I really felt he was scum and still the events of D1 doesn't change my mind regarding his play.

His game reminds me of the DM's alt game that happened sometime last year in November. He was scum and was generally disinterested in the game because of other mafia team remaining fairly inactive (which included me, yeah). He has a lot of posts but I don't see the intent in his posts.

Nyn - I feel like she's similar to the hydra game we just played together. She points out things and follows up on things that she points out, and she has that level of sass I expect from her. I feel very good about her rn.

BFG - I probably feel the most comfortable with her besides Nyn so far. I think she's inquisitive and asking questions around the board.

Darth- He seems fine this game so far. Sort of skirting the middle of the line a little. I think I'm leaning town, with a slight tinfoil that he might be similar to the VS game where he wasn't showing much interest. I just don't know if staying around and forcing other people to attempt to read him with little information and being the center of attention = not showing interest, so that's why I have him as town for now.

Cory - I know he's super busy these days, but I find it a bit odd how there hasn't been more critical questions. I know he sometimes takes a while to warm up, so he's not in my lynch pool today, though he's right about that whole big expectations thing. I just feel that even as a wolf he would try harder, if that makes sense?

Liz - I have no experience with Liz. From memory during the beginning of the game I felt her questions were kind of reachy, but we do seem to have a very different approach to the game as a whole. I'm cautiously optimistic that her line of questioning will actually lead to good things for town and not just be a way to place doubt in people's heads about different slots.

Alanna - I dislike intensely the pushes to lynch Csarmi. I would always wait for mod intervention on that slot if he hadn't showed up. I also had slight pings over the Alanna/Darthe interactions like I mentioned before. My confidence in reading Alanna has never been very high, but I still think she's being scummy this game.

I don't have a clear memory on the rest, so I'll have to go back and read now.

I have absolutely no idea what Darthe is doing right now, but it seems to be designed to take the pressure of Ironeyes and onto *whoever*.

[v]Darthe[/v]

Town darthe needs to warm up, get heated somehow. Wolf darthe is already there.

[v] sooh [/v]

if voting me because im pulling from marsh, why not just vote marsh?

I sure can if you prefer.

[v]Ironeyes[/v]

I think this progression is just TWTBAW. I mean literally no wolf would do this.

I kind of agree with Csarmi on this. I don't see this progression to come from a wolf. I mean, Sooh plays her game quite safe as wolf. This is unlikely in that aspect.
