There was no sleep to be had in the desert outside of Agrabah that night. The villains did not even try.

 

Loki sat huddled beneath his cloak for warmth, awaiting the dawn. As the first tinge of sunlight began to lighten the sky, his eyes made out a tall, hooded shadow approaching, and he rose to greet his fate.

 

Two things happened simultaneously then - the receding darkness revealed the form in front of him as Maleficent, and a sharp cry rang out from beyond the sand dune to the west.

 

The two locked eyes and broke into a stumbling run, topping the rise to find the body of Ursula, riddled with stab wounds, her tentacles still twitching weakly.

 

"Well then," Prince Hans said, rising from a crouch. "Isn't this awkward?" His knife dropped from his gloved fingers to the bloodstained sand as he raised both hands and flashed a disarming grin. "Where do we go from here?"

 

Katiora - Ursula, Town Doctor - has been killed.
