I have 15 minutes before I have to run to work, so I apologize - I'm not going to read through all 305 messages that have been posted since I went to bed last night.

 

(as a partially whiny, partly constructive feedback to the Gods of DM - I would love love love if it were possible to change the notification system to get notification of responses to my posts and mentions rather than just all the posts that have been posted since I posted, which just makes me sad...)

 

I will try to skim back before I go, but I don't know when end of day is or if I'll be able to get back home in time to do much before then.

 

Seph is my strongest scum read right now and he has been basically since his entrance to the thread. I was trying to test a theory about him vs. Sili at one point, but no one (from what I saw) actually responded to my probe about Sili's SK meta (I think Sili is town now for the record) and Seph never seems to be around or responsive when I'm trying to test anything.

 

Most of my notes are from the first 20 pages, but what I've seen from him since hasn't shifted my perspective.

 

1. He seems very TMI about trying to establish that he is NOT a wolf:

6.mafia though evern since I said that, I have never rolled it lol. been on a town streak of around 10 games, so over a year and a half since i rolled mafia i think)

7.I have meta on most, though It isn't my main means to read people

8.town- I say what is on my mind, though I have been trying to hold back a bit. I usually end up starting the game, or become a main discussion because I play pretty aggressive. as mafia I tend to overpush the person I want mislynched, and ignore most of the game. my last game before I went mia shad described my mafia game to a t actually.

I dont remember the game but he won over sooh and someone in the final 3

 

 

 

2. He town-reads BFG really early and seems very eager to buddy BFG (and Alanna) and paint him and BFG as part of a town core (I missed the part about Hally that Darthe has pointed out, but yeah...that too)

 

 

 

 

also ganna give sili a light town read.

hallia and i are probably very easy and necessary reads at this point.

I stopped doing quotes at that point and just noted page numbers, but I noted that in #298 he disagrees with Lenlo saying that Zander is off and BFG town – buddying BFG???? Protecting a town buddy?

 

 

3. He seems to shade and be unconcerned about shifting his votes even when he supposedly no longer has a scum read on Sili - which always reads to me like scum wanting to wait and see if their "leftover" vote could be picked up into a wagon later:

#167 Seph claims that he hasn’t unvoted Sili because he’s lazy

 

 

5. In the first quote I quoted in #1, I also noted that he seems eager to shade Zander, Dice, and Clov, and then in #176 Seph answers Zander it felt like he was shading Zander again* (note about Zander coming up later).

 

6. He just seems too...cocky this game. I've played with him as town in to games now, and I was able to pick up signs of "town!Seph" by this point. Especially in the last game where he was clearly town to me even though he voted against my mason partner in an attempt to save Clov who turned out to be mafia. But I'm not seeing town!Seph here. I've missed a good chunk of posts, granted, but even when we finally were posting in the thread at the same time he seemed eager to sling shade at me after I started questioning other people about him, and he seemed more defensive than productive when people started suggesting that he was scum, getting sulky and claiming VT.

 

 

I also have supsicions on Lenlo, Dice and Darthe, but I feel like I haven't had a chance to test out any of those theories because they don't seem to be responding to my probes...or they're not responding when I'm around. Darthe, I will admit (sorry Darthe) is that he seems nicer than I expect him to be. But I actually agree with his thoughts on Seph (with the exception of that ridiculous theory about punctuation that I'm hoping he's joking about)

 

*With Zander - I don't think he can be scum with Seph, Niniel, or Lenny. I want to think he's not scum at all. The thing with both Seph and Niniel claiming that he's asking pointless questions at points when I didn't think he was (prior to his engagement with them - as I pointed out I thought his repetitive questioning of Niniel's read on Kat (?) was circular, but that was AFTER Niniel's claim that his earlier questioning was meaningless).

 

 

With Lenny, I think her accusations that Zander must be scum because he was too jokey to be town were ridiculous. But (no offense) that's more what I expect from town Lenny than scum lenny. She drove me nuts the one game I played with her because she kept picking up on things that I considered nonsensical to try to push people with, and then she'd also tell people what she expected to see from them if they were scum or town (even though I explained to her that TELLING people what she expected made her supposed tells useless). Scum lenny seems to be more subtle and calculating.

 

And now I have to go to work because that took me almost 15 minutes to type...

1. your intro this game is very lackluster for what i associate with town liz, you keep saying there are so many pages and you are behind, but I have see you do quite a bit with 20 pages. and yet I have 0 idea who you think is town.

2.I don't remember town liz EVER throwing out all of her suspects at one time, Let alone give up on something she is trying to test. (a example is last game when you literally hunted the guy down UNTIL you made him answer) The bold is so uncharacteristic of you if you are town.

3. By this time you usually have a town core, but it seems to me you are more worried this game about painting a target on your suspects, than solving the game (I could be biased because I am a so called suspect)

yea my intro post was all jokey except for the halli bit, I gave her a slight town read because she was posting comfortably.

I saw a couple of people post about my lainey/bfg comment and I could have sworn I played mafia against bfg, though I could definitely be remembering the Pokemon game, because I do remember her freaking me out when she subbed in calling me mafia lol.

 

I liked a few responses from lenlo these last few pages

alanna catch up was pretty spot on for town her, giving her a town read for it alone.

If I had to guess sili would be town more often than mafia with how he is playing so far, I am still a bit uneasy there though

 

 

My goal today is to actually reread and make some notes, because I am still unsure about zander.

I initially thought clov was framing sili in a good light until the started going back and fourth with each other. 

dice's reads concern me a bit. I doubt a town dice throws out a read of zander off of hardly nothing, I would expect him to be more cautious which I am not seeing at all here. This kinda goes back when he mentored me, and got onto m about town reading people early on without reason. I have been reading him extremely terrible but I definitely think his game is different than his last 2 town games.

I almost wanna call clov town, for his town read on me alone. I am going to read our last game on perc soon to see if he did this, but I don't think him as mafia would ever make me one of his strongest town reads. because I am not always clear and concise and I am easy to misinterpret/push when I am not.

your only actual reason for voting me is sheeping darthe, which isn't really a reason, and I feel it's mostly a feeling darthe has. which he does 95% as town against me so I doubt I ever want to lynch him barring some damning evidence.

One of the most Zander things I can think of, as any alignment, is that he pretty much aggros anybody who insinuates he's not town. When Zander is town, he thinks he's the most obvious person ever, even though he's not. As mafia, he either thinks hes still the most obvious person ever, or he does an exceptionally good job faking it.

 

That's beem pretty much consistent throughout this game, except I've made it very clear I haven't trusted him throughout this game and he never got that way with me. Other than maybe Cory, I'm struggling to come up with another time this happened.

 

That's why I asked him earlier what his read of me is. He answered me, but it was a very uncharacteristically cautious answer. I have a hard time thinking he'd be afraid to go toe to toe with me if he's town, and honestly, I think he'd try as mafia. So I really have no idea what to feel about it.
