you didn't come up with any strong reads after 2 hours correct? That would prove my point, but more aptly I thought your posts after a couple hours were a lot of hot air - sort of easy to make.

 

 

I can understand someone coming back after two hours to dig in, but I have a slightly harder time imagining they dig in with no content to dig into. But at the same time, it is possible. I rushed to a read earlier and your confusion seems genuine, so I want to give you another chance. Take that for what you will.

 

As to why I read you differently than other people well that comes down to several facts: your tonal shift was dramatic but inconsequential and therefore more notable than some others; other players were around throughout and adjusted to the content real-time. In addition you commented on posts you were around to see earlier and I had to ask what you added in those responses you could not have said initially.

 

Z/Sili can you concisely explain the timing issue in one post so I can get what's going on?

This morning Zander was around and active, but in normal Zanderesque style sort of easy-going and hard to read as a results. 2-3 hours later (at about 2pm) he comes back and rereads the first several pages responding to everything he had already read mostly uselessly. I say it was useless because in the end I did not feel like his responses showed progression, or were hard to fake. Some of his posts were in fact 'hey this person is objectively correct'.

 

So he posted a lot to fill up the thread, basically, but I could not determine what he added to the discussion.

 

OK well this at least makes a little more sense to me.

 

The timing thing Im still not quite following about 15 mins and such.

 

But if you said it was normal Zanderesque stuff I dont understand why you found it Scummy and then voted me.

I don't see how you can legitimately make that argument.  I quoted everything she said to/about you prior to your comment.  She had barely said anything about you, whatsoever, and she had substantially more content directed towards other players.

She accused me of being scum for my first 3 posts that I made while at dinner and after work!! How does that make me scum? This is why I don't even want to get into it because it becomes this huge argument where people take sides between us. It happened in the tower and true love and we were both wrong. If this is faking then i'm just going to stop this here.

My suspicion of Celeste is basically based on tone and vibe. But she'll prove me wrong if I'm wrong. If I'm wrong I'll be the first to admit it. If I'm right I'll let you know when I know.

I really didn't have any impression of you one way or another from those posts - if she has an argument for you being scum from that, that's on her.  My issue with you is that I don't believe you read those comments from her directed towards you this game and legitimately think she's zeroing in on you.  She's barely addressed you at all.

 

So it's either a massive over reaction from you as town, or you're faking it as mafia.  I'm not prepared to rule out the former, but the latter seems a hell of a lot more likely at this point.

Am I? Maybe because she has approached me twice that way as town and as scum she just didn't go into tunneling me. Lenny in that game tried to make arguing happen so she can tell Liz's alignment too. This is just how our play conflicts. Sure I'm probably overreacting but I did not expect this to happen as quickly as it did.

Penny...IDK...just kind of overplayed it for me with her response to Liz calling her out.  I fully believe that that Penny would be annoyed if Liz was jumping down her throat early.  I know they've gotten into it a couple times in the past on PerC and just don't really work together.  So annoyance makes sense to me...but here, it just seems fake.

That's not exactly what I'd call a tunnel, especially when you factor in how much attention she had put elsewhere prior to that.  If Liz had actually made any sort of effort to push Penny, or even insinuate she might be mafia, that's one thing.  But she didn't.

Uh....yes?  You've made two statements that suggest she's town - one very much so.  The first one I tried to ignore, in case I was going to far down the rabbit hole but the second one is REALLY hard to overlook.

Unless you want to claim you're willing to work together with somebody you think is mafia, this basically is writing her off as town - something that neither your play, nor your words, suggest you're prepared to do.

I dislike how when I'm trying to explain things people take it the wrong way. I meant in a whole as town for future games, that has always been my hope. Whether I say it now or in my next game with her. I want us to actually understand each other. I don't see how that means I think she is town now?

If my suspicion of Penny is correct, I think she's pretty obviously spewed town at this point.  Even before that post, I would have had a hard time swallowing them as teammates, so I guess I would have gone town on Liz by association.

 

On her own merits, I really didn't have strong feelings about her one way or another.  I ~kinda know Liz's playstyle from talks she and I have had about game philosophy and that sort of thing, but my actual experience with her playing is running one turbo where she did a lot of snap reads and playing one turbo with her where I was mafia and didn't really pay attention to her thought process.  Based just on that, I can't rule out that Liz would have an early lean on Penny - they know each other pretty well, and the post that Liz called her out for being mafia didn't read as a really definitive stance to me, so it's nothing that stood out to me as being off.

 

Maybe I'd give her the slightest of townreads for that first post you quoted of her's just now?

There is a slight chance for her to be either alignment and taking a stance for her calling me scum so quickly is just a big giant omgus if I don't think. I was speaking generally because it's something I always keep in mind. There is a slight chance for her to be either alignment and taking a stance for her calling me scum so quickly is just a big giant omgus if I don't think. Liz trying to solve me based on three posts is ridiculous and I didn't want to start it.

It's me actually trying to read people without me overreacting like I do in almost every signal game I'm town in. I get tired of it. If I want to accurately guess alignments then it takes time and getting into tunnels with overreacting never helps.
