So how did the Forsaken find the seals?

Rand had used to  guard them.  I can think of three possible ways.

1.  When he used the True Power, he opened himelf up to the DO who then knew everything.

2. When he opened himself  up to Lanfear.  He unknowingly exposed all of his secrets to her.

3. They were stolen after he handed them to Egwene.

Taim had the seals, but does that mean Taim stole them himself or was given them to hold?

We know there wasn't a weave on the seals, since Bashers's tent was ransacked as the shadow searched for them.

We don't know what the dark friends were looking for in Bashere's tent.  Also, even if they were, they probably were sent by another forsaken.  Demandred/Moridin when they freed Taim from the Aes Sedai gave him the seal.  It can be reasoned that it had an inverted finder of some sort on it that he could track knowing it would be hidden away likely with the others, and if not, at least that one could be recovered.  The other big contender of course is your #3 above, it would be easier than defeating Rand's traps he placed on the hiding place.  Especially if the seal had a finder on it.

lanfear had nothing to do with finding the seals, when rand opened himself to her

during their last meeting in tel'aran'rhiod the seals were no longer in his possession

so he couldn't reveal the seals location, rand could have accidentally revealed that

he gave the seals to egwene but it was hardly a secret, every ruler(and their cousellors)

inside the pavilion at the field of merrilor  knew it too.

Well Dobraines also had a seal and he was attacked in his quarters.  Basher's wife was hurt during the robbery at the tent.  So pretty safe to guess that everyone who Rand had given to hide seals were being robbed and attacked that is wasn't just a random thing.

Under Moridin in the companion it says:  Moridin assumed the seal Taim gave Rand would be placed with any other seal Rand had found.  He thought Dobraine and Bashere were likely candidates for guardians; he  sent agents to try and retrieve them.

So he didn't know for sure who had the seals or where they were.  He  jut sent folks to the likely people who Rand might of given them to.

This makes perfect sense for a rival forsaken's actions.  The one to recover the seals would rise high in the graces of the Dark One.  I never understood why Bashere's wife was attacked or Dobraine aside from dark friends trying to cause mischief like the attack on Elayne, but that was Mellar trying to ingratiate himself and work his way into her good graces.  However that is Moridin, I think the notes showed an early on plan that Demandred was controlling Taim or was Taim so Taimandred would have likely placed an inverted finder on it.  We do see later on from Taim's POV that Moridin had shown him some uses of the TP and was trying to turn him against Demandred, by his reasoning.

I'm guessing the DO could locate the seals. We had DF's chasing Domon Bayle out of Saldea from book 1; and the Seal in Tanchico was Moghedian's till Nynaeve beat her. And I'm also speculating that the DO wanted Rand to batch the seals; not reforge the prison; hence stealing them (and killing Fel the Phil) who was pointing Rand towards the right direction.
