I played with him.. once?, i think. He actually did claim non-town that game if i recall correctly. But of course, doing so once doesn't mean he'll do it every game as wolf.

For everyone: 

So many of these mafia games lately have started by people who are really excited about playing together, and the rest of us are not important what so ever. I dislike this behavior intensely, because in being exclusively interested in what that one person you're excited about is saying you're also immediately excluding a bunch of people.

 

Player 1 posts, immediate reaction: Oh Player, let's town together! We're going to wreck all the wolves and it will be awesome.

 

Player 2 posts, immediate reaction: Oh yeah? Is that what the wolves told you to say? Are you a wolf?

 

It creates an environment where some people, only based on who they are, are received in a so much better way than others. 

 

 

Sooh what changed in 2 hours from being excited to feeling left out and unimportant.  You included yourself (1st Bolded) in this unimportant category of yours. Please be specific and provide quotes to explain this to me so I can try and understand,

 

2nd Bolded- Please correct me if Im reading this incorrectly or not understanding but are you really trying to say that this receptions is somehow effecting peoples actual reads?  Like Zanders gonna read Cory as Town because were friends and nothing else?  Like knowing me, and pretend I was mod confirmed IC do you really think Id let him slide and not do my due diligence on him?

 

Or is it something else all together that my stupidity will not allow me to grasp?

 

I think that based on your opening post about being excited to this, you were questioned on your posts, they werent received well, ie Cory asking you if you were a wolf, myself with it should have been a joke, are you doing that wolfy thing and Hallia confirming in her opinion that he felt it was a joke as well that you over reacted, greatly and that alarms me.

In order of least likely to be miscleared to most likely:

 

Tina: earlier I said that based off her early posts the only reason I didn't have her as BLUE was she didn't ask specific questions. What I left out was that the statements made practically asked the questions. She was a GREEN read then and has only solidified herself. 

Zander: This question and this last page worth of posting has put you into pretty solid town for me. The only thing I wish you would do is let go of the Sooh "clique" comment. I realise you probably won't because it is part of your DNA. 

Darthe: I don't really have him as town yet. Maybe after I reread I will feel better.

Hallia: There is a lot that I disagree with in what people are town reading her for. It may be that she is making a bad case on me so I'm biased.

Cory: He has stated in the last few DT's that I am a super easy read for him. I really don't like that he had me as a wavering null/town read. I am starting to think he knows he should have me town but has already made too many town reads to be able to do so. The way that he kinda delayed in doing my read when he jumped right into all the other ones and came back with near immediate reads on everyone else up to that point was troubling also.

 

I need to go back and reread now. I will try to keep a tab open to talk too.

I believe that Dice is genuinely frustrated. Frustrated people don't put as much effort into a game than others. But, other people see it as a scumtell of his, not 'willing' to solve or provide a reads list.  I can't clear him, but I can't purely condemn him either.... I want him to be town, but... i dunno. 

 

As for Laine: players who sub in automatically get a null read until they start doing some work. It's what i do. Even though people would think that one should clear the slot and not the player, a player subbing in still deserves a shot and shouldn't be auto-lynched due to the predecessors' work (or lack of)

I get that frustrated Towny is a fairly common thing....but you know I hate posts that ring to me like AtE...and Im sorry if im wrong but this does to me.

Weak town read on Zander. I don't think he would keep his vote on me as a wolf, knowing it would be a mislynch and scrutiny would follow.

 

Shad has a bit of an "eager puppy" vibe going on right now, and he hasn't to my knowledge taken any stances on anyone. This makes me suspicious of him.

 

I don't know how I feel about Turin's town lean on me. That alone doesn't make me want to accuse him of TMI, and given his suspicions of Shad I'll leave him as neutral at this point. Like, there are things telling me he's town and things telling me he's scum, but right now nothing weighs more than the other in my eyes anyway.

 

Dice is similarly quite null for me, given him saying he doesn't think it's alignment indicative and hasn't made a conclusion based on it.

 

Cory I have no clue on (I literally typed your name as Cosy). Could go either way at the moment.

I struggled to buy that Sooh really took those opening joke reads seriously. This is why her first post looked strange to me. (I thought this bothered you, too, up until you clarified just now, because of the sequence of posts).

The Person A/Person B argument happens after these three posts. Before them, no one's 'excluding' Sooh from the joke-clear crew.

So either null!Sooh took the joke town reads rather seriously, didn't get why the three (apparently two) of us sussed her and assumed rather that we were, say, 'soul reading' her scum while 'soul reading' each other town, and that lead to Person A/Person B.

scum!Sooh had at least some awareness that we were joking around, made a scummy post irt it, and only misinterpreted (some of) our responses to her after the first post in question.

Both result in the Person A/Person B post. I think that post is null. But I don't see a world where Sooh knew the 'lock clear' jokes were purely jokes and this same course of events unfolded.

The lean, at least in my eyes, hinges on whether you believe a town Sooh takes the "Cory obv town" posts seriously. Unless there was a layer of sarcasm to that first post that is completely eluding me.

I'm at least a little leery of the first post. Not enough to begin to draw conclusions when I have a whole phase ahead of me to figure her out, but it was enough to merit a quick comment at the time. If it didn't bother you, then we're not quite as on the same page here as I thought, I suppose.

I really like Shad for this post.  Adding him to my town pile for now.

I'm mixed on this post of Calder's.  I see what he means regarding Dice, HOWEVER - I don't think Sooh's post is nongame related, and that throws it off.

 

I would apologize for just dropping in now. But that was a horrible read so i say we are even.

Dice is most likely to be scum from the read. Not bc of the defense being fishy or anything, but that for me it feels like exactly what scumCalder would want to defend. Sooh's posting felt obv non game related and not indicative, so as scum i would want to be on the side to call people out for not seeing that.

 

And lastly:

Dice says that Zander is sheeping?  Whaaa???  Ew.

I dont see those early Sooh posts as game related at all. They read to me like a personal complaint that spewed over from previous games. With the jist being that the games get cliquey (they do on all sites I have seen). It may impact the game, but I viewed it as a site culture complaint and not a specific game issue.

I would need to pull post to show it but I got the impression that he was arguing first one side and then the other side of a few things and ended up not really taking a stance either way. My problem with dice in general is that with ~20 pages he was apparently reading enough to get into an inane argument about Zander's read on Sooh but didn't care to comment on literally anything else.

 

It was painful for me to watch him go @ Nomi hard for being on an alt account in the Matrix games as his wolfbro and have to step in and defend him despite him doing basically nothing else.

 

It was painful for me to watch him go at Zander here for basically the same thing for something basically not game-related.
