Still catching up (page9), but here's a few thoughts:

 

Eldrick seems different from the last game we were in. We were both wolves there, and it seems to me that his playstyle is different in this game. I don't know if it's good, or bad, yet. Just something i noticed.

Shad is not in game solving made yet. I hope that will happen soon, otherwise he'll be someone to watch.

Zander is alright,for now.

Sooh feels kinda 'aggresive' in her play (lack of a better word atm). She does try to explain her line of thoughts, but she's not holding back. Interesting.

Lily... there's a good one. No idea on what to make of her yet. Gets sidetracked a bit too easily imo.

Current thoughts:

 

1. Thane- mafia: Potential slip. lack of involvement so far.  
2. Shad- null: Buddying so wary. He seems to be understanding what I was saying so far.
3. Sooh- null>Town: One very small concern about the Thane vote earlier but thinking more likely town atp.
4. Hallia- town lean: so far so good if a small sample size to date.
5. Zander- mixed: asking questions but his stance on Thane who I am currently reading mafia is troubling me.
6. Eldrick- null>mafia: I am getting a townie vibe from him despite all of his odd statements. 
7. Lily-mafia: I feel she is using statements/opinions made by others to cast doubt at people. too much "metoo"ing for me I guess is easiest way to say it.
8. Taborline- town lean: similar to Hallia. so far so good. Nothing pinging but small sample size.
9. Turin- TTTTtT

 

I'm most interested in seeing a Thane lynch I think atm.

Sooh's leaving her joke vote on, or Lily's possible overexplaining. Both are possible scum tells to me.

You feel quite fixated on Sooh this game.... Lily overexplaing: i saw that too, but yeah, is it enough to make someone wolf at this point?

Poorly worded is more like it. Turins' push on me sorta feels like Zander pushing lynches in his previous games (no offense, Zan) and they ended up lynching town. If Turin pushes successfully, you'll miss a VT next day. Me flipping town wouldn't automatically make him wolf, but it'd look... let's put it mildly... not too great.

 

How do you feel about Sooh?

Again, asking about Sooh. You do know there are other players too, right? You'll need to figure out majority of them to be able to solve the game, not one single slot.

this is... odd. Would people lynching me be town? Majority would be, if 2 wolves. Seems like you're trying to talk your way out of suspicion, with a hint of 'if i'm wrong, lynch me, that's a townie thing to say'.

I don't usually hard unvote, even a joke vote. I leave it there until I find someone scummy or more scummy. I would have in this case if there had been a quick train on Thane and more than two votes were on him, but right now my joke stays where it is

Ok. I went back to check the last 2 games. To compare them to what you did here.

 

GnD you voted Zander cuz of the petition. You unvoted when you woke up the next day, because it was a joke vote, and you thought he was town.

 

Supernatural you joke voted BG, welcoming him back to the game. You decided to leave the vote on as a reaction test, because he didn't respond to your vote.

 

In this game, first you say you intended to remove it, but you forgot. Then, when I asked you about it, you said you don't normally unvote until you find a scummy target. Was GnD a fluke, then?

 

 

 

Can you point me to another game where you mention your joke vote, and leave it there without further reasoning? Because that is my issue here. If you can show me you doing it as town in another game, then I won't be suspicious of you doing it here.

 

 

I'm not going to dredge through games looking for a reason not to vote you. Your actions this game are suspicious to me, and that's all that matters.

 

Things like this make me read you as town, Eld.  I for one will not be voting you after all.  

 

Hallia was much more involved in GnD then this game.

Lily, sounds like you have her as more null based on your description. Nothing to make you think she isn't town. what has she done to make you think she is mafia?

I do understand you are saying you have a town read on me but you recently said that my pushing your lynch through will be a bad look on me. I'm not sure why that would be as it would just make me wrong. You did that last game when I pushed at you and it gave you a "problem in your head" or something like that. Mafia like to make little digs while still town reading the people sussing them.

1 & 3 : right now? At this instant it would be Lily. She feels different than last game. I'm sorry if i gave you the impression that i had a null on her. She's more wolf than null to me at this point.  

2: That's what worries me about Eldrick. Part of me wants to believe he's town, the other (louder side) is telling me i shouldn't trust him and he has adapted his play this game.

4: Ironic, right? But, they were both on this weekend, had material to work with, and I would have expected a bit more than sideline work from both of them.

5: tbh, i don't think you'd push me like you are doing now as a wolf, because it'd be too obvious and silly (i think you'd have a better wolfgame) and would make you more likely to be town this game as well.

6: I feel better about his posts than i do about, for instance, Hallia's and Tab's. More a gut read than anything else at this point, but i hope that i get the right feel for Shad this game. Now i just need to see game-solve mode from him to confirm my thoughts.

Different is a vague thing indeed. I'll try to rephrase:

 

Lily is being 'distracting', or is easily distracted, by off topic items. Didn't like her take on 'RL reasons to hide wolfy absence'. It's true that it happens, but nothing new. 

Eldrick posting more calculated and careful in this game. Lacks the confidence he had last game, or makes it look like it.

For Shad, as i said, it's more gut feeling than anything else. He needs to step up his game, though.

I've been pretty focused on Eldrick so far, so I can't say I have a solid impression. I know Hallia hasn't been around much, and I remember her talking about tanks, but not much stood out in addition to that. Taborline stood out to me in the post where she explained to Eldrick that I've done similar behavior with the voting before. It was a nullish post in and of itself, but it made me think that she was being very diplomatic, if that makes sense? I want to see if that behavior continues, though I don't remember her being very confrontational in mafia as either alignment.

I'm gonna reread when I get to work today, cuz I can't mq on my phone and know I forgot some stuff I wanted to respond to.

 

Sooh's vote felt like a joke vote. It was null to me, and didn't feel at all like Sooh and Turin being on a team together. Someone pointed out that 2 votes matter when there's only 9 people (5 to lynch) and that is why I reacted so strongly to there already being 2 votes on someone. Felt like someone taking advantage of a vote vote to get closer to a lynch. I didn't read Turin's vote as a joke vote.

 

Irt my comment at shad. I know having a headache affects gameplay. I just didn't want to see you use it as an excuse to lurk.

 

This post feels scummy to me. It's as if he doesn't want attention. "Nothing to see here..."

My vote wasn't a joke. Sooh's may have been. If Thane had gotten to say 4 votes and Sooh kept her vote on what would you be thinking then?

 

I vote who I think is mafia. I don't really care how many votes they have unless it is hammer or L-1.

The back and forth between Eld and Sooh is odd. Eld you really seem to be driving hard at Sooh for what is, to me, nothing too scummy? From recollection, Sooh does tend to put a joke vote out there and then just wait until she is ready to vote for whoever she wants. Your back tracking about Turin could be a townie thing to do, admitting you were wrong, but it could also be an effort to try and turn eyes away from you. I'm not ready to vote for you yet, but of everyone you seem the scummiest.

 

 

A couple of reasons I'm not voting Eldrick:

1) Like I said before, every vote is a big deal in a game this small. We have time. That's why I asked about a deadline. 

2) He can't always be scum, and I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt until I can't anymore. He'll get there soon enough if he's scum. 

 

 

 

 

And that is so not the only way. Cop could view him.

I think lack of confidence is null coming from a player who has been mislynched as town recently and never made it out of the bottom three in the POE in his last scum game.  There's going to be some honesty to it as either alignment.  Dropping the 'if I get speed lynched' reads list struck me as a possible town indicator for him though.  I sort of expect a defeatist scum!Eldrick to stop trying to hide.  I'm certainly not locked into my vote on him, and this game is small enough for a proper reread.  I was pretty much just skimming over the weekend.

Repeating your comments on reads is a little bothersome to me.  Reminds me of last game somewhat,

So your caught up.  I was curious if you were cause I was expecting something but I didnt see it and its a little concerning to me.

 

Not sure what you were expecting but you will tell me sooner or later. does it have to do with Shad and his buddying?  If that is it then all I can tell you is I've noted it and I am wary of him because of it. I can't make him stop. You may or may not have been playing when this happened but I used to buddy Ithi EVERY SINGLE GAME. Peoples sussed me for it but I do what I want. (it helped that she hadn't randed mafia in a non-multiball game in over a year)  Maybe I have a unique perspective about buddying.

 

 Lily: what you wanna know? She seems to be plagiarizing peoples thoughts. By that I mean someone says something is odd/off/bad about someone and she says the same or similar thing a few pages later. Even if the original thought was a null statement she seems to be taking those ideas and construing them in a manner to make the person mentioned look bad.  It feels like mafia hiding behind other people to stir the pot. 

 

 

 

Well, the thing I was looking for is that Town!Turin seems to have quite the issue with claiming early (see GnD and Supernautral) but this game 2 people have claimed quote early, yet you've not said a thing about it...is Lily or Eld your partner perhaps and you couldnt call one out without the other?
