Not much, I just like to clear or condemn you early and I'd like to be able to do it soon.

 

Let's try some questions...

 

Gun to head which one person of the following people would you absolutely not let into the village right now: Sooh, Pral, Alanna, Thane, Eldrick.

 

 

This single question format is gonna bloat my post count so I just want it on the record I mentioned it.

ok so. I really need to reread the entire game because everything is a bit muddled in my head, but it's not gonna happen today. Hopefully I can find the time tomorrow to delve a bit deeper. Or at least ISO players of interest.

 

General thoughts?  I really like BFG for town. Good feels all around and I liked our interactions. She feels very driven, invested and has really good thread presence. Zander is a bit of a toss up but he's not in my WTL today. I think it's ****ed up that being mentored this way and playing the way that he's playing is adding yet another facet to examine when trying to read him correctly. But It is what it is and I'm going to take my time in trying to figure him out. He did have some good posts. Not keen on the breadcrumbing. But it's more of my personal preference than alignment indicative, really. I'm anti Yates play :P

 

Eldrick and Turin exchange has basically made me glaze over several times. I pretty much skimmed their exchange at some point lol. Turin initially made me raise my eyebrow cause I felt like his focus on eldrick's confusion and change of votes on thane and him was odd. I didn't think much of it. But after that he made some pretty interesting observation (for instance irt Nolder). It feels like he's paying attention and he's digging around looking for sus behavior. It doesn't feel like he's trying to fabricate anything, but rather being insightful and weighing things. Overall a good sign imo. Eldrick I don't have much to say on. He doesn't make sense to me and that's a constant for him regardless of alignment. So that makes him a really tough read for me. Time will tell.

 

Nolder is worrying me some. I'm seeing a bit of his clueless confusion type of posts that he tends to do as scum. Nothing solid, but not feeling too hot about him atm. Feeling a bit eh on Laine. But, could be she's busy, so I'd rather reserve judgement until she gets more involved and I have content to work with. Sooh has some good posts and some I really don't like. I get that she's sick, but she's not getting a pass because of it. An illness could just as easily cause a scummy to have bad posts. *shrugs*  What bothered me most was her thing with Zander. Not gonna get repetitive, my reservations are in my previous posts. I also wasn't a huge fan of her comments irt Lily for voting Zander and then switching to Laine. She was actually backing up Nolder, who brought it up initially. Zander's post seemed serious... once he said it was a joke, I didn't see a problem with Lily unvoting and moving to someone who she felt was taking advantage of the misunderstanding. I also disagree that early game distancing is a bad scum play. I've done it before and usually the earlier the better. Things on D1 are usually pretty dynamic so you can get away with a lot of things that wouldn't fly later in the game.

 

Lily and Pral need more content. Lily in particular because she always comes across scummy and somewhat fake. Like mother, like son :P  But yeah, she's tricky to read. Looking forward to see Pral's fancy read list. That's usually key in getting a good feel of him. So far I'm pretty sure he hasn't done that (right? >.>).

 

BG is null. No idea. I really like how he gives really elaborated posts, but at the same time Turin said that's not alignment indicative and this doesn't really surprise me. I'm sure I've played with BG at some point but I really can't remember. Generally speaking I haven't seen anything that made me go all "oh no you DIDN'T!".  So.... lets take it slow  ;)  But he's definitely someone I'd want to ISO along the way to get a clearer picture.

 

 

 

I'm gonna reserve my vote for now until I manage to get in some ISOs.

Actually we're pretty good at reading each other. We only have problems if we're on different teams. You'll know because Zander's reads tend to suffer and I don't believe his pushes. He's doing okay so far this game though. The point I was trying to make, and one I've made before, is that it's much easier for us to town read each other if we're teammates because that's what our meta dictates we should do. lol

#130 @Sooh, I was pushing Zander? When? I commented that his post was forced (which was ironic since he was saying the same about Eldrick/Lily lol) but that doesn't mean that I was pushing him as scum. After all, I did partially agree with his post.

@Laine I didn't address the responses to the scum lean post directly, but I have answered it. It was Turin, and I've explained why.

#205 BG, I actually didn't see a defensive Zander at all. As for him softclaiming or not, he literally hard claimed his first post last game, so that's really a moot point. I'm not sure if I've seen him soft claim or not as mafia. Note: BFG(?) actually brings this up later. Zander also claimed in the Frozen game, but it's still something I haven't seen him do as wolf.

#220 Zander, I don't hate this reads list at all. I don't think I have Sooh that low though, probably because I don't have a reason to. Nothing to town read her by either, unfortunately. Other than that, no problems with your bottom 3 or your town leans.
 

 

Afaict Eldrick always posts stuff for the sake of it/because he can/etc. What makes this different to any other game?

 
Its like I mentioned the tone and it feeling forced.  I remember Eldrick feeling more relaxed in his previous game and Star Wars.

You seem hostile, defensive, FOSing everyone (at least until recalibrating with Cory), and I don't see at all the townie Zander that I've come to expect. This has nothing to do with volume. It has to do with tone. You're using vocabulary that seems un-Zander and that is why I'll

As for FOSing everyone-- this is more likely to come from a town!Zander because he's more likely to spread his attention. I don't think this behavior would change just because Cory is mentoring him. As for his tone and vocabulary... have you thought that maybe this is due to the lack of LOLOLOLs, SCREAMING, and posting jokes/gifs 100x an hour?

In response to your question, I do think that it's contradictory. She backed out of that vote and jumped straight to me. So she read it as a serious post, Sooh read it as a serious post, others read it as a serious post. That Sooh and I agreed with some of the post means we saw some truth in it despite it being revealed as a joke by Zander. So Lily jumping to ME with her vote feels opportunistic while she's still calling Zander scum. And I quote "My first thought was that Alanna was pushing her scummate's case." I presume she's referring to me pushing Zander's case here. But why the hell, if Zander were to come out and say it was a joke, would I follow through and agree with him anyways? Beside that point, if she thinks both of us are wolves, why unvote one wolf to vote another unless she realized she couldn't push that angle anymore because he explained the reasoning behind the post?

It read to me that she was giving Zander the benefit of the doubt about it being a joke while saying she'd still keep an eye on him. And moving on to a reaction that catered on Zander's post being serious... and that she didn't like. I don't really see a problem with that.

Okay I understand what you're saying now. I'm not really sure on why she'd revote at all without taking a second look at the situation but maybe that's just something that I do when I realize I've taken something differently than intended. I certainly don't jump ahead and vote people, but that's for her to explain and I'd like to hear more

My dog has a mass just next to her right eye but not close enough to get in the way of the eye's function so we left it untouched up until now. But it got nicked in one of my hug attacks by my glasses frame >.>......  and it has been bleeding for days and kinda turned black.... and I'm a nervous mommmy so...  lol
