I'm home!!! And there's 24 pages. My hatred for all of you is still standing.

 

I only had enough time to skim while on breaks at work, but I did see speculation about my unvote. This is the most correct:

So the likelihood of Laine's unvote because it was a joke vote and she wouldn't be around it sounding more and more plausible to me.

 

Being the basis of my vote is because I wanted to sort that out, [unvote]

 

I voted Zander as a joke. The train was picking up. I was going to be gone for 12+ hours. I was not going to leave my vote there when I can't readily work to see if I like my vote being there or not. Y'all silly for reading into it any more than that.

 

Anywaysssss I'm getting a shower and I'll be back to catch up on these 24 FREAKING PAGES FML

I'm probably gonna miss the D0 deadline. I don't have any current prospects, or time to find one. I need to get some sleep. I will do my best to catch up when I wake up. Hopefully I'll have someone to vote then.

General thoughts from page 20ish

 

- Lenlo, I don't recall Zander actually making reads on his colour thing, so I don't understand your issue here?

 

- Zander, the issue (i think) with your comparing Lenlos meta from that game to this is because most players treat teammates differently to none teammates... Specifically from that game though, weren't you the instigator? I remember Lenlo being quite reactionary, but may be remembering wrong. Whereas Lenlos instigating here

Okay, doing a quick read through of what's happened so far. Not really going to link all the things since I'm pressed for time.

#59 Comes off really serious from Zander. Before this things were more in a jokey manner, in my opinion, but this is straight up srs. I don't know yet if that's due to Zander believing he's sold his case with the PM color bit or if he's scum-defensive-Zander, but it's just something that I noticed.

#64 #68 Turin and Sooh make a good point: Zander knew he was going to get voted like this from the signup thread, but it's not like the intention to vote equates intention to lynch. Zander became serious rather quickly for votes that were mostly in jest.

#77 Lenlo, I can buy into "Zander overreacting is scummy Zander" but Zander typing is all caps is exactly null. We're talking about a good-guy Canadian here and he's reacting to Turin saying he "borderline cheated," I believe this reaction you're referring to is fine in this case. (Zander confirms this in #82)
 

BTW, D0 does not end when we reach majority. We have the full 24 hours so there is no risk of a hammer.

#93 @Eldrick why would you look at me for "backing off" if Zander flips scum? I just as easily could be town and noticed the Purple he mentioned matched my own and I didn't want to lynch a townie (in the case that scum have a sample town PM). Anyways, I did unvote because I was going to work and didn't want to leave my vote there, not realizing this isn't a hammer game. :/ Then on post #110 you say that if Zander flips town I don't look scummy for unvoting? What do you mean? Why?

Secondly, irt #93, why would you believe that we would just lynch someone blindly straight out the gate like that? That's like Nolder wanting to lynch town!Pral d1 WoW. We do not sacrifice potential townies for funsies....?

#162: KISS. Eldrick keeps latching on to my unvote and it's odd. I doubt me unvoting is the most interesting thing that's happened all game?

#190 @BFG: Do you think that Zander, as mafia, would use the color of a sample town PM to prove his alignment? Basically, do you think that's within the scope of his playstyle/personality? I have an opinion on this, I'm wondering if you think the same.

@Laine, one reason I asked Zander about his opinion on your unvote as he knows you better and was around. Self awareness of your vote is null to me, except for the indication of self consciousness.

 

I'm baffled that Zander as any alignment would try that, or think that it would work. I really don't want to clear Zander because "he wouldn't do that as mafia" because those arguments end badly, so I'm treating it as null. The issue is with how much of the early game that links into which doesn't leave me much to get a 'good' read from.

 

one thing I keep coming back to wondering is how similar this is to Yates in SW, is it like Yates trying to clear himself in which case I'd probably say no, or like Yates telling Seph to look in an old private mentor QT, which I dont remember Zander having an issue with. In reality it's somewhere between the 2 and I'm left at null. What's your opinion? You know him better :)

Eldrick - why would you decide a lynch pre-rand? And I still don't 'get' it, you think Laine/Zander are likely t-t or m-m, yet you have Zander as null-town, so if you think he's going to flip town, and think that likely makes Laine town as well... Flashback tomasons in W13 (possibly Arthurian mafia, Sooh may remember which I mean)
