Pizza: Scum hunting and overly good townish tone.

Cass: Reminds me of the two games I have played with her where we were both town. I haven't seen her as mafia but she is analyzing the thread and scum.

Wish-tree: Gut vibe and the fact that is she is spewing how well she reads me. The only reservation I have is buddying.

Laine: I want to see her post thoughts and I have a tiny voice in my head saying she is probably town.

Zander: He baffles me and honestly I don't know how to read him. His thought process of Wish/I read though is townish.

CsarmiNeed to see more of his posts/interact a bit.

TurinNeed to see more of his posts/interact a bit.

Leno: Absolutely null.

Shad: Confuses me a lot and just makes me switch reads a lot.

Kaylee: Confuses me a lot and just makes me switch reads a lot.

Nolder: Something about his question reminded me of Rustlemania. It just doesn't seem like he is town. Although he is fairly absent which makes him null.

PralayaNeeds to post more but he also reminds me of his play in TUS.

Concerning Pral one post about catching up makes him your Top Scum read? Do you normally feel like low posters on inactivity is Scummy?  Like nobody else in all their posting makes you feel worse then him?

It's a slight one and usually I don't have a lot of scum reads till after a flip.

Yeah I can go with not lynching Celeste.

Just feels too easy.

Are you saying she's TWTBAW?

Oh she can be a wolf. She didn't scream townie today. But just feels less likely than not being one.

She is difficult to solve and I want to give her more time and a flip to see what she can do with that.

I'm sorry I'm not understanding.

When you say it "feels too easy" what did you mean exactly?

You're saying she's difficult to solve so you can't mean easy in reference to figuring her out but I can't imagine what else you're referring to.

Any villager in that situation is a sitting duck day one lynch because:

1) Nothing indicating villager

2) Several people agree she's not indicating villager either strongly or at all.

3) Wolves are fine lynching someone who several people agree probably not strongly indicating villager

I can't read her, at all. I can't see what's villagery about her. I can't tell what work she's done. She's struggling hard.

That's the only thing I can see about Celeste is that she's struggling. So if she's a wolf, I am not anticipating a sudden dazzling display of elite wolfing that makes sure she never gets lynched.

She isn't going to suddenly look really townie to everyone in the group, so if this is how she plays all game, she's going to be a lynch or a vig shot or a scan or... something.

If she's a wolf I have a lot of confidence this group will make the correct decision on that soon. I don't believe we have enough data to make an intelligent decision NOW.

But I don't have enough data to make an intelligent diagnosis. So I'm taking a tissue culture and I'm putting it in the lab and I'm waiting to see if little werewolf spores develop in the petri dish before I hang her for the crime of being unsure of how to village on day one.

That's my leap of faith decision.

Whereas I don't get a struggling townie vibe from Turin at all. What I see from Turin is someone who has chosen something really arbitrary to push as "scummy" on someone I feel is a villager, and I'm not sensing Turin has trouble villaging. But this isn't recognizeable villaging to me.

How can you be sure that there aren't any home site differences? The Org felt like they have very open players while PerC is a bit closed and hard to read.

I has a romantic night with Sooh ahead of me, plus Zander-reading burnout from earlier today.

Zander after I read Matrix, I'll push you up or down. If you can hang tight, I want to see if that more recent game has similar differences from that current game.

It's worth it because a town Zander is worth fighting for.

But Pizza should I be concerned youre having this hard of a time reading me.  Obv if youre Town I can I can understand you having concerns about reading me.  But hopefully you can see that obv with me knowing i am Town that YOU are struggling this hard with it.....

What I got on you is that you are generically yourself. You're not behaving in a manner that makes me suspicious.

However, in two games I've seen you be a wolf, most people didn't think you were behaving in a manner that is out of the norm.

As such, you have a high amount of volume, a high post count, and extremely subtle differences between alignments. That means putting in the diligence on you is needle in a haystack work.

I don't want you to fool me when you're scum. I do want to catch you the first time you're wolfing again after Matrix.

That being said, the past couple of games....

NBC you looked weird to me a little bit, and was mostly null, and then.... boom. Out of the sky like a bomb you did dat one post. The one post to rule them all. The one post which made me go.... oh yeah. That's a townie Zander.

But Zander, you rand wolf and look back and go, aha, I can fool pizza, I just gotta do similar town-telling behavior. So, I cannot re-use that reason or else it is manipulable.

So, in the next game, I got a good vibe from you right from the start. You had a great opening. You had a high volume poster or several interacting with you and when I read your posts, I could *hear* you sitting there playing Cards Against Humanity. It was you. So I had you as a villager and I continued to watch you and I didn't really shake that belief for a long while.

You hard defended Besie, which I didn't like, and you tunnelled hard, and the paranoia was real. REAL. So I was like... oh yeah, that's a townie Zander.

But when Besie flipped and you were like super gung ho on lynching Tina, and the dead wolves voted you, I felt there was a decent chance of distancing. And I know you go hard in the paint and you would totally hard defend one wolf and hard bus another. That's your style.

Okay, so even though I had a high villager majority read on you, there was a pattern you display when you're a wolf, and I have a metric crapton of respect for your wolfing game since it fools Pizzaguys and the rest of Dragonmount alike, repeatedly.

So when Dice started going lynch Zander, I did a safety move to make sure you couldn't just style all over town.

I also realize reading your previous scum games that some of what I was clearing you for in other games is more null. Because you fake that stuff so well.

So I got lucky, basically.

In re-tooling my approach to reading Zander, most of your posts are exactly null. I am waiting for another unique bomb out of the sky post that comes from Town Zander alone, or, I'm putting in the really really fudging hard work and developing an overall lean that I'm confident on.

One I don't reverse. One I'm secure in. One I believe in enough that I won't tinfoil on you later and start coloring outside the lines on.

You're hard, man. You're another me, except in ways I can't fully comprehend.

But that's my Mount Kilimanjaro. That's my Mount Everest. I'm gonna conquer that *****. I will plant my flag on you.

That's a lot of words, but do you get me?

Celeste, do you think wish's scum game has changed a fair bit over the past few months?

She has only played scum in turbos and that is rare. Full games lately have been town roles.

What the hell?

Is this at me?

Yeah.

Then why not elaborate on your apparent confusion so we can begin to work things out?

That link takes you to a site where you can generate the numbers.

I always prefer a period and a space between the numbers and my notes, and it allows you to add that as a suffix. Not sure why it didn't copy over onto the site, it copied into my notes just fine. I think DM drops the space if it's not being used.

Ok?

I just don't get so much of this. lol. What are the numbers for? What is 'per-post notes'? Why are we even discussing this?

Why are we discussing this?

Essentially, I don't understand why you thought a note-taking system was something worth dropping randomly into the thread. I'm suspicious of motives by nature, and I question things when they stand out. This stood out. I'm after elaboration on your motives in your own words so I can try and read your alignment based on whether or not I find it easy to believe what you say. I can explain my light concern/thought-process further after you answer if you like?

Right now I'm confused by the purpose of your post, and I don't like that you didn't just communicate straight up :P

The other, less important part is I'm not sure how it would work/I'm wondering if you actually take notes on every post?

Cass is looking town. Sounds genuine and not even the least bit stressed.

Vote: Turin

Only a few minutes so will only repeat ny previous question. You stated earlier that I was a "found villager". Then proceeded to push me down your list without really giving reasons or citing anything. Would you please explain yourself.

I am off to bed as it is an early day tomorrow. I should have a better block of time in the morning. Hopefully be able to read the thread in more detail.

It's really worrying you huh?

Duly noted.

But yes, mental note to address this.

@ Pizza- Yes I can see where youre coming from.  Yes that is a lot of words.  Thank you for kinda using bullet point style for me tho....lololololololol

I also actually like how you kinda subtlety addressed my concerns from our Skype chat without over stressing them to beat a point home.  That reads more authentic/genuine to me,

Pizza's certainly not an easy read for sure.  Actually there is things leading me to believe he's Town.  One being i do find he's playing similar to NBC for one. He's been sharp and making solid points.  It feels like he's trying to lead this village and thus far nothing feels forced or fake from him,  Were having some of the same reads which makes me feel better about him as well.  I know he's well capable of doing this as both alignments and theres a few things Im looking for they may make me rethink him but for now especially with a general lack of people really Town telling I feel pretty ok with this read.

Why Alanna and Len for you.  I dont disagree I just wanna hear your thoughts there.

Id also really like to see a reads lists with reasoning from you if you can, that also includes you Scum reads if you dont mind brother.

Remember before where I said I'm inside my wolf meta still?

It's reaching the point where I would have difficulty mimicking this D1 if I were a wolf.

But I'd say this is within the realm of possibility.

I can't cite a specific game in my years of being a wolf that I invested this heavily in a day one. So that is outside of my meta.

Why it isn't impossible is that, if I really really want it, I can push beyond my meta and deeply invest in a game. There were two games last year where I defeated my own meta by going harder in the paint as a wolf than I ever had as a villager.

In both games, that effort was mid-to-late game. Not this early.

Why I wouldn't want to do it this early: It would give village too much information if I died. You want villager brains to be dead and silent before you start risking too much info.

I haven't made a ton of "enemies" yet.

I don't have a specific reason to do so, so it would be forced if I did, but that's one thing you look for.

In my past 3 games on this site where I was a villager, I did attack more aggressively on day one. So that is why I should still be townie but not blue.

Posted

Town wish: I think Joe is towny because a b and c and I think Steve is scummy because x y and z and I can tell you from experience Frank will do m and n under pressure and...

Scum wish: *POING* *POING* ME WANT CANDY *POING*

This made me lol irl.

Okay. That's good enough. I'll take a peek at it myself to confirm at some point.

Cool, Zander's voting my top town read.

We'll see how she handles that ISO.

I can tell you this: if she's scum her game has changed drastically over the past four months.

I do like the good cop bad cop approach. XD

Hey Zander.

I can drop what I'm doing. We haven't real time'd yet and it's mostly my fault. RL hit hard past couple times.

You got me, I'm all yours until you say the safe word.
