Also, Pral choosing the Clov vote over Bender when I was clearly hinting that my "peek" was on Bender but keeping open the option it was on Clov was pretty gross. So he's almost lock scum #2.

Well, I am town. But obviously you are not going to believe that nor am I going to convince you hard. So, go ahead.

 

I gave my reasons why I voted clov. Based on the context and the information at the time, it was the right thing to do. Especially since I did not have a reason to trust you completely.

 

Anyway, dice raises a pertinent point. Who wouldn't kill you? Of course, it was because they were seer hunting, since it was shad who was killed. But, it had to be a person who would know you very well and guess that you would be gambiting. And, sure that you are gambiting as a vt. There are hardly 2-3 names in this game that would do that. Think about that once you are sure that I am town.

my thoughts: you were buddies, feel all clear and want to mislynch as many townies as possible now.

In order for this to be true Bender, scum 3, and I would have had to agree that this game would be easier for us to win if I got rid of Bender, gave up a possible mislynch, and put myself out there to be cop peeked by claiming cop in a game where we HAVE to find the cop or lose.

 

Is this a *possible* scenario? Sure. Is it a *likely* scenario? No. This is the definition of tinfoil.

 

I will put it to you this way; I'm the kind of person who likes to have every possible advantage to help me win the game. And I think you can probably accept that as fact. The scenario you are proposing leaves no room for error. Especially in a game with Tress in it where im guaranteed to be the N1 peek if she's the cop. The math isn't good.

I would argue that lynching me was the right thing to do ONLY if you trusted him completely.  Without looking back, I don't see you saying anything but "If Yates is claiming the peek on Clov he should be the lynch today".  Well, I mean, that and then suggesting Yates would be auto-lynched when I flipped town.

Not exactly. As I explained earlier, if he was lying, it would make no sense to lynch the one he didn't claim to peek. Yates claimed he peeked you and wanted to lynch zander. So, clearly I was not going to go with what he said if I didn't trust him completely. I explained this right on Day 2 itself.

So really all of you in the Poe have reasons to keep me alive. Tress knows I gambit a ton as VT. So I could see her seeing through my claim. You and Thane would want me to drive a mislynch on Clov. Plus you both saw me drop cover more than once. And NB might bank on the fact I gave him Town credit for tying the Bender wagon and just hope I was lying while taking out another person with seer equity.

It would depend on how the cum perceived your intentions. Like I said there are only 3-4 people who would know that you would gambit really well and that would form your POE. I have no problems with your POE list - which is pretty much what I am saying.

My computer rebooted itself last night and lost all the work I'd done because I was trying to link to every post I was referencing and formatting was easiest in the browser window...  which of course there was no good way to save partway through.  

 

I hate my life.

 

*bangs head slowly on the desk*

 

I hadn't completely finished yet and solidified my impressions but as I recall, aside from the Yates push, she was visibly irritated by NotBob and wanted to rank him lower on her reads list than Zander did.  Of the 3 in my POE for today I think he's least likely, her annoyance with him didn't feel like distancing.  If they were teammates, she was legit angry at him.

 

Which leaves Pral and Thane.  Thane she had in her strong greens, although she didn't seem to interact with him much I believe she and Zander know him from the social groups, so they may have felt comfortable with him in game.  Pral was null, and as I recall she only mentioned him to ask where he was.  Both have been a bit sketchy, with Thane's refusal to narrow the POE based on pretty standard game mechanics, and Pral's insistence on voting Clov over Bender.

 

I'm good with either for today, and I will be around at least a half hour before deadline if something comes up to change things before EOD - but for now, [v]Pral[/v]

Regarding Thane, he was rather passive about being ML, but that changed in Belichick iirc. I'd need to check both that game and Star Wars, I don't remember him vanishing in Belichick even under pressure. But he was extremely quiet in SW.

I think i'm still carrying bagage from the matrix game. I'm more paranoia than anything else here, and i doubt it's helpful. Sorry about that. Every game is different for me, every game i try to forget about previous games. Not managing this time.

I don't even dislike it. When I'm back at a computer and not on my phone I have to see if Thane is just play acting with this seer clear stuff. I find it incredibly difficult to believe he believes what he is saying. And obviously it is in scum's best interest to keep the Poe pool as populated as possible.

Also I don't think Thane has a ton invested in this game so that blow up seems out of character based solely on memory. Like I think he has said in the past he didn't care if he got mislynched as VT but I could be making that up in my head.

 

Yes, in the past i din't really mind when i was mislynched as a VT. But that was the past. I want to bloody win this one and not be mislynched, going into  endgame with a couple of dead wolves. That's the best feeling ever, and it's been too long. So, yes, i do mind being mislynched, but if you have to to win.... then so be it. Another cleared slot is useful.

It was completely opposite to what Ii was seeing. Yeah, we differ on reads but having a such vastly different read bothered me at the time.

Upon reread, i'd put a careful town on Clov, Tress, Yates.

 

Notbob and Pral are the ones i'm feeling less good about.

 

And now that you mention Tabor... i actually forgot she was in this game untill you mentioned her. (i check mail notifications while typing so i don't miss anything). I don't know where to put her. I was convinced she was wolf last game we played in, she turned out to be town. I don't feel that great about her slot seeing she vanished from my memory.....

The problem I have with notbob is that he jumped in way too quickly when you claimed, without even a doubt that you could be lying. Similar with Tress - she was very very  sure you are doing a gambit but had no doubt about your alignment. Her statement If this is between Yates and Bender today, and I think it has to be, I will not be voting Yates" looked a bit forced because it was never between you two.
