[Standard] The Matrix Reloaded - Game Over

first off, I am here (barely) and can only apologise for my extremely sketchy presence. Work has been busier than expected. Project is going to technical review today so should be as normal next week and I'll be able to read through properly over the weekend and hopefully stop being useless :/

Generally feeling pretty good about the group up to Dice. I feel good about Nomi and Sili but need to read through again. Cory, Sooh, Clov and Tabor are mixed, I've felt good about them for chunks of the thread and kind of shook my head at others. Thread consensus is affecting my opinions too much on the bottom group at the moment which I don't feel great about, but is what I have.

 

Hallia was higher due to her early response to Laine, but I don't get her vote on Pral or reasons for the turn around. From a technical perspective I don't think I've ever seen a game where Day 1 isn't the longest, sure the fluff: content ratio decreases but the volume of posting drops. From a game perspective I don't understand why she finds it scummy or why this is what she chooses to vote on, I know later she says its fir pressure but what pressure is there from this argument.

 

Pral is different so far, I don't know if its actually scummy yet. I don't like the fact that he had to be asked to explain the positioning in his list of people outside Cory/Zander but pretty sure Mafia!Pral would know that he'd catch flak for it, so its odd more than anything else. I don't remember Pral being so reticent with trades as either alignment.

 

I tried ISOig Lenlo and Rack but all it proved was how bad my thread recall is. I think at the moment they're only in my bottom group because of thread consensus and that bothers me. I'll try to get on at lunch to explain the rest of the 'reads'.

 

Right now I feel worst about Hallia, but given my lack of thread recall I can't put much stock in any of my thoughts at the moment.

Zander has been noticeably pushing you and I could see you hating that but you seem to have evolved from "lashing out at Zander" to "lashing out at everyone about Zander"

 

Like literally you've made no impact on the game and you've just sort of been hiding behind the "I can't combat Zander's soulreads and I'm upset about it" as a reason to not really push anywhere else in a reasonable way, and you are now giving me flack for pushing you as time was expiring yesterday because I'm "sheeping Zander" as a way to combat that I have a read on you.

 

You were so much more villagery last game, actually ON YOUR OWN PROCESSES instead of just reacting to the perception of you

Well, I think we are playing a game of modelling a conflict between an informed minority (the mafia) and an uninformed majority (the innocents). At the start of the game each player was secretly assigned a role affiliated with one of these teams. The game has two alternating phases: "night", during which the mafia may covertly "murder" an innocent, and "day", in which surviving players debate the identities of the mafiosi and vote to eliminate a suspect. Play will continue until all of the mafia have been eliminated, or until the mafia outnumbers the innocents.

First is doubting Thane.  Periodically questioning people who are pretty consensus town isn't a bad thing.  Not going to knock it.  But let me be clear: he is the one person that I will never vote in this game short of a red peek.

so assuming this is the reads list you were talking about Clov.  its not as bad but its still bad imo.  basically hes scum reading me for scum reading him and and now hes seemingly doing the same to Corlanna.

 

so his 2 strongest wolf reads are the 2 (3) people sussing him while they are in the general consensus of being in most peoples reads lists.

 

also fyi- the 4 (5) people in his 2nd poor read list were all people that were voting him at DL or said they would have....prolly just a coincidence...lolololololololololol

Sili-  been towning pretty hard all game.  no fear of posting w/e and voting wherever.

Thane - ive seen nothing but Town!Thane all game....i read pops pretty well imo.

Corlanna-  i mean come on ldo...but seriously i know Cory is fully capable of duping me but i feel like i read Alanna pretty well. and nothings really pinged me atp.

 

 

Shad - engaging, asking questions, making sound points and little just little things like the stuff i quoted him from about BFG

Yates  - driving game early on.  on point.  only reason hes here is i fully believe hes capable of fooling me.

Clov -  feels kinda like the voice of reason this game.  i dont really know clovs scum game but same as Yates fully capable of fooling me.

Nomi- ive agreed with a lot of points hes made thus far.  but if he's who i think he is he too is an another awesome player that can fool me

 

Sooh- Sooh is normally scummy to me but i feel her post where she stepped away was real and after her tone seemed to pick up some confidence but shes still Sooh.

 

BFG- havent seen anything that pinged me.  her few posts have been analytical BFG town type posts to me but wanna see more from her

Tab- dont really have much meta on her.  thought she picked up some steam before dying out. need more though i think she mentioned being away this weekend.

Hallia- dont remember a lot tbh but i remember not hating most of posts but def need to see more

 

Dice- not town!dice at all imo.  early vote gross.  nomi looked a million times better in their echange.

Lenlo-  horrible reads list, poor me emo crap,  everyone is scum reading me only because of my force of will.  wolf reads in 2nd list all people voted him or said they would.

 

 

 

I need to find 2 more wolves.  need to iso my nulls/unsure list though and theres also possibly a deep wolf somewhere in my greens.  the middle 2 lists not really in order.

So here's I guess the problem with thinking this way.  You're saying Lenlo's scum pile is pure omgus.  You're characterizing him as emotionally reacting to anyone who questions him by labeling them scum.  If Lenlo is doing this as scum, that basically spews Cory, BFG, and Sooh (and you of course) town.  Are you comfortable with that?

You're right that they have people flipped around a bit, but I really don't care that BFG has you in what I assume to be a null-to-scum while Lenlo has you as scum.  Similarly, I don't care BFG has Yates as...probably town?.. while Lenlo has him as strong town.  My point is the two weren't so greatly different that I would have expected somebody to point out how awful EITHER player's list was while completely overlooking the others, unless they had specific points to pick with them.

I disagree with the specifics of this, but I mostly agree with the concept.  If Lenlo is scum, I think his teammates have probably accepted he's not going to be around much longer in this game, so I wouldn't rule out either BFG or Sooh as a bus (and Lenlo listing them to make his own reads look better).  Corlanna-Lenlo and Zander-Lenlo should never be a thing.

lenlo not a new or inexperienced player nor is he a bad player at all.  his only defense this games really has been poor me cause Zanders personality is the only driving force behind people scum reading me.  and that reflects upon his read list.

 

i think a Town!Lenlo prolly doesnt like the heat but would try and at least see where those peoples thought process where coming from and just be like maybe thats just a bad read coming from a towny place.  but he doesnt hes just like if you think im scummy you have to be scum. which is omgus weaksauce.  i just think hes trying to use some AtE type stuff as his defense and im not buying it at all.
