Doubt on the claim, "Its a great thing to claim as mafia because no townie wants to lynch the doc     or shouldnt anyways", and then erring on the side of caution. Maybe fence sitting is the term.

 

It struck me as odd when I was going through catching up, mainly as I was reading with a big "Lenlo is scum" bent, which Dice didn't share in that post, and so it looked like he might be covering his bases.

im a little torn here. Ive been thinking len town because of his responses with rack and trying to work around zander. But shad iso changed my mind. then his doc claim comes.

 

while i believe there are a number of 1 shout abilitys in this game I find the fact that he claimed DOC to be a bit much for me. Its a great thing to claim as mafia because no townie wants to lynch the doc     or shouldnt anyways. Jack D does not count that was deserved.

 

So i dont believe his claim but a bit of me wants to err on the side of caution.

 

This post makes me feel the possibility of Len/Dice w/w, though it might be too obvious if Len flips scum.

The way the caution is phrased, and for putting the idea out there that it's a good tactic for mafia to use.

 

 

You dO realise that that thought quite possibly was considered by 90% of the players right? its a commonly used fake claim by mafia

ummm  notice I KEPT my vote on?? thats NOT the caution side. Thane for eg erred on the caution side.  He pulled off BECAUSE of the claim. Ive seen people get to l-1 claim cop shortly before dl  and watch as everybody bails off and finds someone else. Most times without a CC that person doesnt get lynched at that time

You're not at all, it actually helps me to talk these things through. Covering himself by having the flexibility to have seen Lenlo as scum or as town. 

 

Say Len and Dice are scum: Dice says he had Len as town previously, which would make sense if you're working together, and your post (the case on Lenlo) is a very good reason/opportunity for people to switch their choices and he takes that chance to blend in, adding that bit about it being a good mafia tactic (maybe because it IS the tactic and he slipped?)

 

Len is town and Dice is scum: Again, same as above, your post is a great place for people to come out and blend in, and if Len flips town, it's easy to explain away his Lenlo vote as having been convinced by your case.

 

Not the strongest of ideas, but a possibility.

I believe beyond the shadow of a doubt that she is busy dealing with some stuff right now.  I will light somebody on fire for challenging me on that.  

 

There's absolutely nothing that says her being busy excludes her from being mafia.  I said that earlier, and I maintain that position - I don't see how anyone could argue the opposite.  And I won't buy an argument of "she wouldn't rely on RL if she's mafia"; that is objectively wrong.  She would say she's busy if she's busy as either alignment, and she wouldn't lie about it as either alignment if she's not.  

 

I will vouch what you said about her not particularly enjoying rolling mafia as true.  She and I have had a conversation or two about this game (that is, mafia...not Nolder's round, specifically), and I like to think I know a fair amount about her playing style, preferences, habits, etc.  Not going to claim to be an expert, but I'm okay.  And yes, she has been significantly less active than she was in other rounds as town, including the game that JUST ended.  However, she said she started active and got considerably less active as the game went on; I didn't follow 100%, but from what I could tell, that's true.

 

From all of that, I'm fine with people keeping her as a POE candidate based on meta.  I fully get that.  I just think the argument's she's made this game are more likely to come from her as town than mafia.  I believe she could reach every single conclusion she's had so far, and she seemed frustrated with your reaction to her case.  My head tells me that she would want you off your game if she's trying to mislynch you (I think we can safely rule out bussing).  My head tells me that she wouldn't deliberately pick a fight as mafia with the two of us; I think both you and I know her well enough that she wouldn't WANT to draw our attention.  

 

I will happily reassess later if I need to, but for now, I have no interest in lynching her.

I answered why above, it was the bit about why one might claim it as scum, it just stood out as I was reading through.

 

Edit: As for what could make it townier, I'm not sure. More posting from Dice maybe, so it's more train of thought instead of post and go.
