First, I completely disagree with your opinion about claiming town. Yeah, it's kind of annoying, but having no numbers to back me up whatsoever I would strongly guess that it's came from town far more often than it has mafia. At worst, it would be null.

 

More importantly, why do you feel him defending people is more likely to come from him as mafia than town? Are the people he's defending his teammates? TMIing reads on townies?

It would be to gain a town cred, being a helpful townie and so on. Especially in d1, and early in the game, these things look off to me.

Fwiw I don't think town!Sooh would be any less (or more, for that matter) likely to make that post than she would as mafia. I could easily her being frustrated as either alignment that Thane is harping on what she feels should be a non-issue.

I'm more concerned with whether it really is a non-issue.

 

 

Okay...technically Sooh is not incorrect when she says that Thane has been going on about the vote for days, but I do feel the statement kinda upsells how he's gone about it.  

 

 

so, here's a couple of things. They follow up so it can change during the notes, which i will share spoilered:

 

 

 

 

#79 Zander claims town again. Good, we'll see if you can hold that thought.

Rack seems quite aggresive/suspicious. Don't know him as player, we'll see how that'll go.

Shad votes Corylanna #84.. odd?

Got the impression game has started early this time, not a lot of D1 gibberish

Clov/Sili interaction, nothing too off with that

Cory votes Sooh #97 ?

#102. Defending for being suspicious? Someone who wouldn't be suspicious would be bad in game. 

#103-104 Can't really see sarcasm in acknowledging Zan as town. Also, I feel there's a sort of connection betwene Sooh and Nomi. 

In general Sooh strikes me as off untill now

#107 rack tunnel on Lenlo?

108 Nomi jokevotes Sili imo, 109 Hallia defends Lenlo? 

122 Sili gives townish reads... keep in mind.

page 7: Dice seems relaxed, but page feels odd. Still jokevoting at this point?

139: Agree with Lenlo

Sili seems off at this point.. regular him or not?

141 Yates is wolf for that one post? 

page 8: got the feel there's a Corylanna / Zan connection.

Rack feels off. Could be i don't know him, but short posts, no explaining. Odd

174 + 176 Dice and Lenlo both asking if Sili drunk? odd coincidence.

page 10: Shad and Yates seem ok to me

200: Nomi's town list seems too consencus like. No reads on other players? -> followed by unexplained vote on yates 201

206: Good post Laine: demands some info from 'new players'.

page  12: Cory-Sili interaction intersting. Cory-Clov seems ok to me, town-town

251 interesting post.

Rack/Nomi/Sooh drive by posting. Little shots and comments left and right, but lacking gameplay so far

Tabor seems ok, nothing that seems off to me so far. 

 

 

 

 

With all that in mind, the players i'll look into closely ar Rack, Sooh,Sili, Nomi, Hallia. 

 

Rack seems off. Can't get any idea on how he thinks, and giving us a line of thought would help.

Sooh seems town to some players, but i'm not convinced. Also, she still holds her vote on me after 2 days.. .wouldn't it be time to unvote? (No chocolate for you)

Sili: I dunno. I'll give him another day. But so far not convinced he's town. 

Nomi... started playing the past few pages, but i don't find the posts helpful a lot. Doesn't feel right, and i'll trust my gut for now.

Hallia: stepped up for Lenlo, most obvious of all players. It strikes me as odd at that point in the game. 

 

Most comfortable town so far would be Yates, Shad, Lenlo, Clov, Zan. 

 

For the other players, i still need to figure them out better. Null-ish so far.

 

Reads can change throughout the game, and I'll try to stay in here and be up to date *N*

I need more here. Sooh, come in and play. And explain why your vote is still stuck on me after a couple of days.... parking jokevotes should be frowned upon.... You're the first i'm starting with.

 

In my opinion, the voting can begin. Either to push people to post more, or to get some talk going. We need both at this point.

 

 

For Sooh: not much content, keeping a joke vote for 3 days on me, needs to be more involved. 

 

We should get past jokevoting at this point. 

 

 

I wouldn't say he's been particularly whiny at all, and even though I think his point is meaningless for her alignment, he's not wrong - it was a joke vote and it has been there for a little bit.  Still, going back to my original point, I fully believe that Sooh would think nothing of that vote and probably wouldn't expect anyone else to stay there, unless she didn't move it AT ALL before end of day (three days away?).

I guess TL;DR - feeling a little worse about Sooh from it, but still think she has a reasonable enough chance to be town for now.

I had never intended to suggest that people were definitely doing that in the first place. What I actually said was "I think anyone who answered that question could be a team mate, if indeed Hally is scum." Meaning it was a possibility, and indeed I clarified "Because all of those posts were talking about tells for how Hally plays, she could conceivably use any of them to modify her play style, no one seemed more telling than another. Equally, none of them could be teammates, and Hally might not be scum. I didn't see there being a hint there."

Almost ripping my hair out at this.  I was going to say that it made me want to lynch Tab, but I went back and realized it wasn't even Tab who brought it up originally - it was Dice who took the initial issue with it.  

 

Tab said anybody could be a teammate, which I suppose is technically true...anybody could be.  My initial take on that post was that she was suggesting we were more likely, which I disagree with on multiple fronts.  If it's just a "well, there's nothing prevent it" absolutely.  Just seems like a wasted discussion.

But yah she is different from her recent wolf games. She cares more and is talking a lot in real time. I dont know about that hallia vote. I dont like easy votes.

 

But she seems genuine.

 

I would hedge town. But not confident.

Elsewise: ill reconsider cory later it can wait. I dont want to suffer through a rant yet. Obviously he will now add to his nomi rd regardless of alignment. But i just think its imbalanced from what ive observed.

I don't know how to answer that.  I'm not sure you've done anything so completely out of character for your mafia game that you HAVE to be town.

 

That being said, I think you are vastly more likely to be town than mafia - like, I'm confident to the point that I'm going to feel bad if I'm wrong.  You seem to be approaching the thread in a similar way that I am.  You're bothered by the same things I am.  It's pretty similar to how we overlapped last game, and I townread you pretty much right off the bat.  Feeling the same way here.

If hallia isnt a wolf and rack is soohs wolf equity drops.
