On the good cop/bad cop note that you were speaking on, I don't think we've reached that stage nor did we in Belichick until around D2 iirc. Day One I was scum reading you pretty solidly until you started to make more keen observations. Could still be the case here, but I really dislike how you started this game and some of your later progressions. I've noted a few times that you seem to be more readily town reading players throughout the game for not so good reasons, which I don't understand. You wanted to town read Kivam early on for the character claim thing, which we discussed. You wanted to give Crusher some towncred because his focus was mostly on Nyn/Kivam. Later Zander for being 'too dumb to be scum' which is terrible reasoning considering his push on you and how you're seemingly looking for the 'wolf on your wagon'. Like you're lenient on Zander yet want to cast shade on Calder when he actually makes good observations regarding your interactions with him? 

 

Right now your bottom scum reads look to me like a pile of OMGUS. 

 

I don't want to cast shade on Calder.  I want to lynch him.  His observations were terrible, but you shouldn't know because you just 'glossed over' the conversation.  I think "too dumb to be scum" is a pretty accurate characterization for Zander in this game.  Scum!Zander has done absolutely nothing to cover his tracks when I flip town.  Like, seriously, I think stuff like the "TMI" comment where I said that will look too terrible for even someone as devoid of caution as Zander to pump out if he knows how I'm going to flip.  If you don't like some of the reasons I've given people town cred/hesitated to scum read them, that's fine.

 

Saying my bottom scum reads are a pile of OMGUS is pretty weak.  You can do better than that.

I need to read over Hally's posts a little. I was thinking that she hadn't put forth much effort, but I also feel a lot of her games lately have been less involved. IIRC she was more active in TUS as scum d1. In Pulp Fiction she was town and quieter. In Harry Potter, mafia and less involved, more similar to how she is here. I feel like there should be a lot more for her to say here than she's been doing.

Why Nolder is pretty much guaranteed to not be mafia with Crusher:

Shad - it's posts like from Calder that which make me think you and calder have been town on town. Frankly, nobody who's played with me before would look at the interactions between me and you and go "teammates", but it reads genuine coming from calder. You've both had things that pinned me, but not enough for me to vote either of you today.

Suggest you move your vote, considering you're on the block and voting somewhere that looks to have no chance of happening today

I think that's sound advice and at the same time think I'm going to catch heat for it.
 
I'm generally a last minute voter but I'm also not used to having a train with EoD approaching.  [v]The Crusher[/v] is a significantly better option than you or Hallia imo and I'd rather have my vote there than be +2 above the second train sitting solo.  I will very gladly switch back to Calder if it becomes a viable option.

 

 

 

Yesterday evening, you have Crusher and Nolder voting together on Kivam.  This makes a lot of sense if Kivam is town.  Crusher and Nolder are both mafia, and Kivam is arguably the player who knows them the best.  He's made some unique plays game that could warrant some suspicion.  Both would be on early enough that if he IS lynched, neither could really be accused of bandwagonning.

 

It doesn't go anywhere.  So, they split their votes.  Crusher stays on Kivam, while Nolder...

....reduce Shad's chances of being lynched from 100% to 50% (not factoring in future votes, of course).  Unless the scumteam is Shad/Nolder/Crusher, Mafia!Nolder pretty much just helped bury one of his two teammates on D1 in a standard vanilla cop game.  

 

 

So my point to Thane was basically saying that the lynch would, presumably, come down to Shad and Crusher.  Thane stated that he thinks Nolder is mafia.  It's possible - but it relies HEAVILY on Crusher being town.  So the most +EV thing there would be to reforce a tie between Shad and Crusher at 5-5 and hope RNG goes his way.
