Shad. I did not jump straight to negative conclusions with you. I made it clear that your first post read as scummy to me. I challenged you on it and you responded with post #46 which i did not buy and saw as a nonchalant attempt. You then followed it up with post #50 which was way worse and i called you out again. I made it clear many times now that although your first response (#46) made me view you as more scummy i could still be persuaded in a vacuum to see it as geniuine. But then you repeated that behavior with post #50 that was another attempt at a brush off. These are reasonable issues that i have with your play. To say that i jumped to a conclusion is very disengenuious, considering it has also been pulling teeth with you ever since.

 

That WIFOM post you refer to is my genuine answer. I will not respond any other way than i did to a post that has no answer. I would humour someone else suggesting scum wouldnt have acted as you did. But you brought it up yourself to suggest your innocence. That is a WIFOM tactic and you know it. It did not provide any confidence in your alignment this game when your go to was so flimsy of a defense.

The reason that is being pointed out is because you reacted badly. You commented about him not being new. When he said he didn't believe you, Instead of explaining yourself, you waved it off by slipping into defensive mode with the quivering in your boots bit. It's swell that you explained later on... but your initial reaction was no bueno. So yes, it's gonna be pointed out.

 

 

Did it really happen that way?  Calder called me a liar and Clov asked for elaboration.  I rolled my eyes at Calder, explained myself to Clov, then went back to address Calder further.  "Avoiding explanation" was Calder's spin on the event.  Both posts were already on the table.  There was no "later on".

Why should lack of eagerness indicate scumyness though?  That's what you meant as too easy, right?  It depends on a person's preference. I know some players that don't give a rat's ass when they roll town, and it's when they roll scum that they come to life. And vice versa. But without knowing the player..... it's moot.

I thought this was his first game because I don't actually read everyone else's sign-up thread spam when I spam sign-up thread and never made it past the part where he said he was new.  I read it as disgruntled/half-hearted like 'great I have no idea what I'm doing and I have to be scum.'

My mistake for thinking you would want to start our analysis of events from the beginning. But, yea i basically called you a liar in that post.if you take offense to that then your in the wrong game. It was my second response to you (first i already quoted above) and it was to put you on your back foot and get a response. I was open on my stance until you tried to play it off again.
