Nolder and Laine I need to take another look at yet.  I don't think Nolder and Hallia can be team mates in this game but I'm pretty confident we've already caught our second scum anyway.

 

 

Off the top of my head, this doesn't seem right for anything between the two of them.  I think tit's probably correct because I don't see Nolder being viable mafia, but I'm struggling to come up with anything between him and Hallia to prevent it.  Did you have something in mind?

He came out today wtl her or Thane, and that was before Calder became a hot topic.  I don't expect scum who lost a team mate D1 to immediately create a scenario where he has to vote the second one, especially when she's already got two votes on her and looks like a real lynch possibility.  For that matter Thane/Nolder wouldn't make much sense either.

@Shad - that's not a bad interpretation. At the time I think a scum flip on you would've made me want to give Crusher a little more leeway. I didn't think Crusher looked good but I was more leery of you at the time but it seemed people were staunchly against lynching you at the time so I figured if you were a wolf I would need more ammo to shoot you with later (ie a town flip on Crusher).

 

BUT I'm happy that doesn't have to come about now :)

I'm for shortening the DL. I think Thane not voting is pretty typical Thane. He did say at some point D1 that he thought there was scum between Crusher and Kivam.  I don't think he forgot this at EoD though.  He said the trains looked too easy, started encouraging  people to peel off onto Hallia or Nolder.  Town!Thane has sort of unwavering commitment to his gut and if his gut was telling him "too easy" then this is what I think he would do.  I think hopping onto Crusher when it was technically tied but pretty much a sealed deal might have looked worse for him tbh.  His comments about AJ are... strange. 

 

AJ has been making pretty solid sense to me today.  He's my deep wolf candidate and I've been reading him closely.  I got hung up on "I guess I can't fault you too much for that statement, if you're being genuine. I sort of voted the same way thinking I could pin scumShad with a townCrusher flip" when I had a couple beers in me last night because my brain first took it as really awkward justification leading to a sort of 'I voted my weaker read' conclusion.  But that's a silly interpretation.  He was sussing both of us as far as I can tell and I think he's saying 'I didn't think Shad's flip would tell me much about Crusher but Crusher's flip might tell me something about Shad.'  His wording in the post lacked caution, and I kind of want to take that as a slight town tell.

 

Hallia was kind of boxed in to not voting me.  I don't think her push on Dice had a shot in hell of drawing votes off either train.  I was initially thinking scum!Hallia might have tried for Nolder instead but in retrospect I think the only person who might have budged off the trains was Nolder.  So I don't really think pulling votes was an option there.  Hallia and Thane are both players who kind of do their own thing and have a tendency to miss out on scum wagons.  Going for Dice could be quite honest.  Switching to scum after people aren't buying the Dice argument?  eeeeeeh, she did lynch scum.  She could have peaced out for the night on Dice.  I'm kind of mixed and need to see more out of her.

I half expected people to go after me for not voting. Logical. Sorta. Personally, i dislike D1, and i do not vote unless i'm 100% convinced they will flip wolf. In some games, i didn't even vote D2 either. My vote is the only power i got, so i want to get the right one, if i can. 

 

i am still feeling bad about the town loss last game i was in. I want to have a town win in this one.

That being said, IR is completely outed for me as this point.  There's not a universe where Town!IR flips it back on me being scum - there's exactly one situation that would be helpful (shockingly, I'm not going to say what that is right now, because I don't want to spoon feed him an out), and I sincerely doubt that he's going to approach this game with that mentality, given that games of this format don't get played there.

 

Hell, half the players in this one aren't use to such a game.  

 

So what he's doing now is basically a sophisticated version of lolcatting.  He's going to dress it up as fancy play by making it all about his meta, and how he's approaching the game from a different perspective, but I'm 99% sure he's just realizing he doesn't have a chance in hell, and he's not the type of player to go down without a fight.  I can't fault him at all.

 

IR - it's nothing personal, brother.  I've got a game to solve, and you're one of the missing pieces.

Kivam (1): Crusher

The way I'm looking at it we got one scum on Kivam (ie Crusher)... and one scum on Shad (ie Calder). I think Shad's train is clean beyond Calder. 

 

When Halli voted Crusher and went to bed... she put Crusher at 6 votes, vs the 4 votes on Shad. I'm not sure if I see her doing that as his teammate.... vs forcing a tie. Dunno. Then Clov unvoted, voted Shad and brought it back to a tie. And then both AJ and Laine voted Crusher simultaneously five minutes before deadline. AJ added one vote to Crusher and reduced one from Shad (cause he was sitting on Shad). And Laine changed her vote from Nolder to Crusher. Thing is... I think it was apparent that Clov was screwing around and would ultimately vote Crusher again... so I'm not that open to giving either of them credit there. 

 

Then there's of course Thane who wasn't voting for anyone.

 

Looking at wagonomics alone... I'd say the POE is Laine, AJ, Thane. Out of the three, Laine is prolly the one I like least. AJ I have liked throughout the game but I can't deny that he's an implacable wolf.  Thane is Thane... I dunno. 

 

Looking at game content.... I obviously didn't care for Nolder and Shad. But I think once we have a confirmed scum flip on Calder,... we can pretty much go with Shad being a townie. Which means that my concerns about Nolder's tying vote lessen considerably. 

 

 

 

Regarding Hallia (blue section)- I understand where you're coming from with this, but she had said multiple times that she thought was townish from her exchange with Calder.  In fact, she said they were likely town/town from it, which I thought was strange.  She had Crusher as gray.  Hallia is a smart player; I don't think she votes a townread near deadline to force a tie with a null.

 

Red section - Just based on their EoD, I like AJ more than any of them.  He was under no real obligation to move to Crusher after I switched.  If Laine had abstained, there was only a 50/50 that Mafia!AJ loses his teammate.  Why make that 100% when the counter wagon is somebody he actively pushed?  It's not like AJ just randomly sheeped onto Shad.

 

Laine would be in the middle.  Kind of like Hallia, it would have set off flags if she voted Shad there, but I think she would feel more obligated to vote in that situations as town than mafia.  She got pissed at me when I did something ~somewhat similar in Harry Potter (she thought I was setting up a trap by voting her top mafia read, so that she would look back if she didn't follow me).

 

Thane not voting obviously looks the worst, but I'm pretty sure he's clean.

Bold: Nolder (and Thane?) have also stated that the Calder/Shad interaction was v/v. Nolder is also smart enough to stay off his town read and bus a teammate, but Thane staying off completely is crap.

 

Underlined: I hold grudges forever. I explained why I voted here though; despite my wanting to laugh at you when we got a town flip, I decided that was -EV and voted where I thought were most likely to find scum, even by a margin. Not a fan of you setting me up though.
