Checked back in, read to mid-45, and going to post my first real vote of the game before getting back to work.  I really don't like the way [v]Unvote. Vote:Zander[/v] interacted with me, and particularly the misrep with respect to AtE.  And yes, I did deliberately wait for other people to call it out before acting on it; given the reactions I was getting, it was likely to be dismissed as spin if it just came from me.  Zander, you didn't answer Celeste, or Talya, but maybe you'll answer me and a vote: what did you see in my post as AtE?

Laine is (seemingly) using her hydra position to try and figure out this game.  But obviously her position on LAH needs to change with evidence/reads, so she needs to have some kind of progression.  Otherwise it's a poor excuse for play.

 

 

Why shouldn't that apply equally to Kiv's vote?

I am legitimately serious, however, about not liking the double standard Sili is laying down.  I placed a ventvote on AJ early in the game, never had the chance to move it off when the game actually got serious, but Hally took that as a scumtell despite my announcing in the signup thread, pre-role PM, that I was going to be doing just that.  That's weird enough, but Sili finding it scummy when Laine gets suspected for following through on a Lynch All Hydras early joke approach, but perfectly townie when Hally does the same thing on my follow through on a ventvote is really hard for me to grasp.

 

I didn't believe it either, but the results are interesting.  Also, unless Hally screws up big time, she will be universally town read because some people like to buddy her and she is a pretty bad liar.

You could technically read old games to get a grasp on meta, but considering the sheer amount of players in this game, it would take ages and I wouldn't recommend it. I think meta is used a lot more on D1. Once the games progresses, cases shift more towards content and less on meta. So it won't be such a gap going forward. As for now.... if someone mentions a player's meta and absolutely no one disputes it, you can more or less rely on it, IMO.

How is that supposed to help us if we are new here? D1 isn't all about meta though as it's a new time to force new reads on a totally different game.

Not done catching up, but.... I haven't talked to dice much due to conflicting schedules and him living in the future.

 

My thoughts right now is that Kiv smells. I didn't like Laine's hydra smear campaign, but I'm leaving it in the null pile for now. I haven't liked some of Zander's posts. Kinda null on Seph. I get from what other people said that Z usually follows Laine like a lost puppy, which is a valid life choice. But... I really didn't like him shouting about at whoever was voting her at the time to unvote and said she's off the table cause as town, she's a valuable player. The same could be said about quite a few of the players in this game, so it's void. Right now I'd like to see him doing a bit more than +1 people's posts.  Would like to see more from Wombat, though I think he's catching up as we speak, so I'm gonna need to see what he has to say. Lenlo needs to step it up too. Both Pral and Laine are supposed to be catching up and giving their thoughts. I don't have as much to work with right now, at any rate so I'm sort of going by feel. 

 

Liking Halli so far, but that's mostly gut based. Sili too.

I'm not the jokey type when I feel like a person is after me just because of something about my slot and not my play, no. This is my first full game in ages and I really want to play it, not be lynched because I had to hydra to be able to play. Also, not my responsibility that you sign up for too many games at once, don't let that go out on other players.

Here's what you need to know about my meta: I'm emotional and angsty and tend to get emo, I also like to set up traps that no-one else sees are traps so I usually end up getting lots of heat, and my schemes always end up biting me in the ass. Also, if I think I've caught scum I will usually go into full tunnel. Generally, I'm a mess!

Mish is a player I have trouble reading without bias because honestly I don't think I have ever seen her as Mafia and I consider her to be an exceptional villager so don't know what to expect and just vastly prefer her to be a villager

I honestly can't explain why this stood out to me as scummy, but this post just sounds awkward and completely unnatural to me.  

 

 

I don't care at all about Kivam's policy lynching of AJ or Laine policy lynching a hydra, in regards to their alignments.  Both voiced their gripes before the game started, and them actually "following through" (I use that term lightly) is no more likely to come from mafia than town IMO.  What I do care about IRT to Kiv is his vote on Pralaya, who is notoriously quiet as any alignment.  The fact he's only seen Pral as mafia makes it kind of fit, but then why vote at all?  

 

I didn't like Mish seemingly taking exception to Alanna's hydra efforts - and acting like she was being singled out - but her response to Laine sounded pretty good to me. 

 

 

Sili's discussion with Kivam actually makes me feel pretty good about him.  His response about the ambiguous words is something I actually see Town!Sili arguing, and it wouldn't be the first time that his posts suggest one thing and it's completely different than what he's actually thinking.

 

I like Hallia's activity, and she's already putting herself out there more than she did in Harry Potter.  I disagree with the reasoning of her vote, but her answer to my question wasn't bad and she actually seems to press the issue further.  

 

 

So if you drew town you might do it, only to unvote later, or not do it at all, and say 'Oh hey, just kidding lul'

 

but you did it, and for now my vote stays.

 

@Razen - Have you seen anythign better?  He didn't move it.  I know that his partner did, but it stands out to me as scummy.
