Hallia Yates is a wolf here like never!!!  hes not playing anything like SW at all.  reminds me off Middle Earth,  engaging and trying to steer town.  i dont agree with his reads but that certainly dont make him scum.  Thane not a wolf  either.  Frustrated town imo.

 

 

I think that's a pretty bold stance on Yates.  In SW he was pretty chill until all the people willing to fact check a 400 post game were dead.  (Except you, which he totally didn't bank on, and then Seph got phoenixed.)  Yates feels townie to me in this game but it's Yates.  Like,   I'm cool with him right now but not going to let my guard down.

yes SW and 9-5 and i pegged him in both.  and pegged him town in Middle Earth.  i feel pretty good on my Yates reads....100% is pretty good right?

regarding Thane I had him as light town day 1 in SW wasn't until his Day 2 that he became obvious, so imay be being overly cautious there. Icant clear him on tone/ease in thread, and he's commenting on individual posts, but not seeming to connect dots yet. The only full read I've seen was on me and that was effectively null. Town Thane reads me that way, not show mafia Thane reads me though.

 

I have some townie vibes, some mafia vibes from most other people, I need to think.

 

don't dislike Shads list I saw earlier, although I disagree with where he has Dice.

 

I was just going back through and compiling a list of everyone's scum reads and this post really struck me.  How is Rand at the bottom of the barrel if not for his catch-up posts?  o_O

She's calling Talya and Thane scummy based on these two posts? Is it just a coincidence that Talya and Thane are typically considered fairly easy mislynches because neither Town tell that great? And is it coincidence that as a result of not being able to Town tell that great BOTH Thane and Talya were receiving at least a little attention from the more active persuasive players?

 

Hally is WAY more likely to take a contrarian perspective as Town than as wolf. And she's clearly not doing that here.

 

I dislike this entire thing.  I have seen Yates try gambiting before and I wouldn't put it past him to actually try this.  I don't buy the Talya/Zander derp clear.  It does make me feel even better about AJ and Laine, but it knocks Yates down out of my comfortably townie pile.

She's seen me pull pro Town gambits before as Town. But because this is something she's seen me do as Town I've gone from Town read - straight past null - and in to her bottom 3? Doing something she knows I do as Town? What the what??? How is this an organic read?

 

 

Wolf Thane in Star Wars literally repeated the same four observations he made in the first 24 hours up until the moment he was lynched, while taking every opportunity to push things off topic.  He's already put out as much meaningful content as he did that entire game, and that's pretty promising.  I think if he's town it will become pretty obvious with time.

 

Talya's reaction to the no vote argument was promising.  She seemed to take it seriously and hop on board.  I can't give Zander a pass for it.  I think there's a decent chance he thought it was an obvious joke just like I did and played along.  I mean even if the rules did permit Yates' approach, it's not like we'd be granted a free win.  They'd be modified accordingly.  I think if Zander took it seriously he'd have investigated and seen that it was wrong, so null on his reply.

 

Yates test looks great for Talya because I think she sincerely bought it.

No offense, it's just that well....I've been scum with you [Thane] many, many times (More than I think I've been with anyone else actually, but I don't have the stats to prove that, it's just me going off memory)  and you're on point for it.

She has been scum with Thane many times. Probably as many as me, anyway. So she knows what Thane scum looks like. And this isn't Thane scum. Conversely, Hally has been scum with me against Thane TOWN and knows that he's low hanging fruit for mislynch bait pretty much always. If she had said something about him acting scummy and needing to step up? That would be one thing. But voting him straight off without finishing her catch up? Blech.
