I live on what is probably one of the coolest streets in the country for the 4th of July, and you should all be jealous of me.

 

Top of a hill across a river from a major amusement park that puts on a huge show, a steel factory in the middle of it billowing a huge flame into the sky, plus views of three different towns' displays and earshot of easily a dozen.  When we got home from visiting family today it was like stepping out into a Civil War reenactment.  In two or three years I'm going to build a huge deck on the hill side of my house and you will never see me online on the 4th again.  :P

3-month olds don't conform to holidays.  :P

 

It takes like four hours for all the shows here to run their course anyway, can't sit in the grass for all of them.  But I've got big plans to remodel the back yard if I can talk my wife into making this our permanent home, and then there'll be a party at my house every 4th.  The street hangs off the edge of a steep hill and a lot of our neighbors have terraced it into two decks and a swimming pool.  Hoping to do something similar.

 

We're a bit concerned about the quality of the school district here, but honestly the country is no better and in the city proper we'd be stuck in some lousy 2-bedroom apartment on the same budget.  We got this house for like $35,000 last year and it's in fairly mint condition.

It's the slowest start of the three games I've been in, and most wolves don't mind that one bit.  You're already asking questions.

So far AJ's 'rallied the troops' a couple of times, but I hadn't seen any questions until after you'd given your town read

I went fishing and caught a BFG town read.

Shad I don't see what you're seeing in BFG. More of a null for me since I don't know her well enough in the game

 

Eh, I wrote a post, realized it had a double meaning, verified that one of those meanings was false, thought "heh, I wonder if anyone else will notice too" and clicked post.  Someone did.  I don't expect that sort of page 4 analysis out of scum.

 

So what was the other meaning of the post and how does that jive with you above saying that it was just 'good vibes'? What do you make of AJ not questioning your assertion?

None yet really, still on page 5, Shad/AJ both seem different, but I don't have much of an opinion yet on whether it means anything

I agree on this. Towns need to town really hard so there's no mistakes. I like the thought of another town victory

Just rereading for overall summarizing, wanted to get a feel for the topics that have been brought up in the game so far

 

pg 1-2 all rollover from the last game
pg 2-6 I'm getting voted (Shad, Hally, Yates) for disliking normal things; this is where Shad comes in with his town read of BFG after Andrej asks
pg 6-8 Sports talk??
pg 7-9 Vig talk: holding +ev for town (started by Yates/AJ)
pg 10 a lot of spam
pg 11-13  Yates and his "no lynch" plan that he clears Zander/Talya for; really don't like Thane's post #260, which Andrej and Zander point out as well; I mention he's pinging but differently than in Star Wars; Also don't like the post quoted below

for the moment, Zander is the only one i trust here. I can always Vig him if he betrays me in another game.

 

As for Verb and Pral, they'd be 0 info lynches. Would be nice to wreck some wolves without too much town casualties this game, and we'd need to gather info to do so, right?

I'm all for clearing Zander already, but why bring up Verb and Pral like we're going to lynch them? They haven't even made a post yet in the game. Feels like a weird thing to mention. Second sentence in the underlined is odd too, it seems like you want an info lynch more than a wolf lynch. But you bring up Verb and Pral as if they're on the table.

Not to answer for him, but I'm pretty sure he's saying that once we get the POE down (this only works if town is being obvious), we'll have a safe pool for the vigs to shoot into. This is feeding into the idea that it would be dangerous to shoot N1 (not enough info, past experience)
