I'm not gonna push lynching him for it but leaving Salami alive invariably bites us in the ass.

Calling it now for post game creds.

Re Heart - I think her post coming in and clearly skimming and giving her thoughts is fine. What I didn't like, which may or may not have been a typo since it made little sense, was that she said she'd barely be here next week as well. At this point, even if she is town, how does it benefit town to keep her around?

Ah yes, that old chestnut, "Let's lynch the person providing zero content over people providing scummy content..."

Who are your scum reads again? Was it just the abandoned Seph read?

@Darthe

We're not in trouble.  I have some solid villager reads right now, and I doubt I'm wrong on more than 1 of them (if any).  This means lynching from the rest is ok by me for now, until potential NKs in my village pool make me need to add more players to it.

I'm ok with this approach for D1/D2, btw.

Lol if Sooh is a wolfy townie and a townie wolf.  That is definitely a thing.

Great I'll masonize you tonight and we can move forward from there.

Andrej: I don't think I've ever seen Andrej this quiet. I was right that all he has is attacking Seph at the start of this game. His last post was on page 21.

Yeah. AJ is a concern. And I read AJ way better than I read Wombat.

MYNDRUNNER ALERT!  MYNDRUNNER ALERT!

That man was a genius. Lynch all hydras until you find the scum, imo.

And the answer is that there is a 25% chance of any slot being on the wolf team.  You put three slots together and it's 75% that there is a wolf in the group of three.  That's standard ratios.

This game doesn't have standard numbers.  With 18 we can have four suped up wolves or five weak wolves.  So 4/18 is .22 and 5/18 is .27 roughly.  Thus you have between a 66% and 82% (rounding up here) chance of three players being wolves.  This averages out to 74% likelihood of there being a wolf among us.

LAWL - not even close. This is a problem of probability and combinations. The math is way too hard but ends up being ~30%.

here we work out that Seph is weird town and Scum...

Yes, I'm town.

Do you have a post restriction or are you just not planning on reading your own posts?

I've played one game with Seph.  He was town and weird.

~ good to know

~ no post restriction

~ I only played with him and he was scum. He was weird then too.

Seph confirmed weird.

Puts the onus on Seph

If Seph shows either me or AJ that he's town, we will move.  Otherwise, we won't.  Simples.

(you stole my saying...used to say that all the time...Steals back Simples!)

Reason now for voting Seph

Quick Question: Tinfoiling!...I thought this meant ideas that are a bit out there...x-files type thing, and conspiracies. People seem to be using it in other places, does it have another meaning I'm missing?

@ Womby - Why do you think Seph is wolf?

His post about towning with Turin looked like possible TMI/buddying and his reaction to Shad's vote was over the top.  He also has no solid scum reads AFAIK.

Who else do you think maybe wolf, and who do you have as town leans right now?

Sili wolf lean.  Mixed on Durin.  Town leans on NotBob, Sooh, Eldrick, Dice, Shad.

and some reads. There seems to be a lot of null posts, not that much wolf hunting going on. I haven't played with Womby for years and he was quietish then, so no idea how he plays now.

Wolf Lean on AJ and Womby -

I didn't like the way AJ seemed to want to vote Seph from the start. And then not much else (I know he's been busy, but still feels like they took an easy vote and left it)

Womby vote AJ without even realising AJ had...didn't read the thread?

Seems to put in little effort of really scum hunting.

.... The easy way to do it is like this:

whether they are a hydra or not is irellevant.  What matters is that they are slots.

You have 18 slots and 4.5 wolves (average).  What is 4.5/18?  .25.

So if 18s (slots) is equivalent to 13.5 town and 4.5 wolves you get 18s=4.5w and your math problem becomes 3s=x.  What is x?

.75.

Truly though, if I am critical it's because people tend to either say something that could be said in one sentence in two, use rhetoric non-ironically and for the hell of it, get hung up on inconsequential BS and spam threads with it and formulate inconsistent reads because they don't make it clear what transitions them from one view to the next.

Those things make people hard to read and I tell them that.  The only time I call things dumb/obtuse and really mean it is when people push/create friction based on ??? over content and impartial analysis.  Take Dice flaring up over the Turin thing.  I can accept thinking that is suspect but I disagree about it being meaningful since I understand that it was a joke from Turin.  I find it incredibly dense of him to make the argument that me brushing aside his point (since I do happen to know Turin's alignment) somehow validates his argument.

I can see your points, it's harder to do that when you may not have the most analytical mind. I can see what you are saying about the Dice, and it makes sense. Mafia has changed so much since I last truely played and then didn't understand the changes, now I can see the changes and have to pull myself up out of the old way.
