I'm consistently amazed that people ever bother saying this about me.  The instant I find anything I realize I wouldn't say as a wolf I make a point of remembering to incorporate it within the next couple of times that I am a wolf.  There is legitimately nothing that I do as town that I 100% won't be doing as a wolf within three months of initially doing it.

This is really really dumb. The fact he's voting you for it means it's 51% or better. What's the point in pushing Dice on quantifying something that is, by his own admission, based on speculation? The more you guys do this stuff the more I think he might be on to something.

I actually do consider activity to be one of my more prominent tells when I am focused on a single game...

I cannot conceive of a scenario where mafia would pretend to be concerned about role fishing.

 

I know she's working during the day, but it's hard to get any read on her when she is not here. Her activity spikes as either alignment, but when she played as scum last time you could tell with her posts. I haven't seen enough to tell yet, but I'm not liking the feel from the way she started this game.

Yeah. It would be nice to see *anything* out of this slot. Promises to catch up that remain unfulfilled ping me.

I'm a little unsure, because I read Turin's peek post as a joke, but Dice is taking it way seriously. It feels like he's pushing a lot of made up suspicion onto Darthe/Turin with his scenario and the feel of his posts is forced (ex: post 552) I can't really comment on Darthe's side of it because he seemed pretty consistent, just that one post that I didn't like where he jumped to AH.

I think you are misunderstanding Dice's case.

 

As of this point I could vote Durin or AH. I will pretty much never be voting Csarmi or Dice.

Guys, I apologize for the low post count, but I'm afraid it'll continue through the weekend. I may not have picked the best of times to start a new mafia game. I am hoping to get a full read list up at the very least though.

@ Darthe - No I don't want "Lip Licking" over seph (sorry seph), I was explaining why I had the thought of wolf, but I had Seph more town than AJ in that convo between the two, the ony thing that made me think w/w was why would AJ go like that after someone, with nothing. One of the thoughts was if they were w/w. I still think the tunneling by AJ was forced, he looked like he was finding a reason to vote Seph from the start. Seph was like a little boy in the playground watching how the big boys playing mafia and wanting to emulate them. the only thing I had against Seph was the "Know you were town", but thinking about that it's more than likely to do with the seer cover he was doing.

 

I still don't get Dice's push on Durin over the N0 Peek (which was the second post of the game). Dice - What did you think of the AJ/Seph spat, what are your current reads on people? I get the same feeling over this as the AJ push on Seph. But I have seen the last couple of games start with this and the person who gets lynched is town and the person pushing is also town. So I want to step back and look at that better.

 

So far I get this

 

CS - Town lean, until anything else suggests this is a fake claim, I will think this, however CS, you are in a  good position to really case people and find some wolves. I would like to see more on that.

 

Alanna - Seems to be actively looking for wolves, although not too sure on her chat with Zander, will have to reread that bit. Town lean

 

sooh - hasn't done too much, haven't seen anything that has stood out as wolfish Null/slight town lean

 

Sili - Had him as town lean before, not sure, he's not pushing his vote as I have seen him do before which puts doubt in my mind.

 

AH - null read, not much ghere

 

NB  - I think his posts actually look like there is more in them than the last game, no matter how short, town lean

 

Durin - Have no idea. Darthe you are being way too helpful in explaining things, not seen that much before (not complaining - would like to learn to post better). Not alignment indicative. Going to have to reread, the convo between him and Dice. It was a quick read. turin, I have Null on

 

My closest wolf lean so far is AWombyJ...not sure I have seen much of them since the Sephgate. At least nothing that has stood out since, could have slunk into the background? I didn't like the tunnelling on Seph, I hope it's not a case of getting back for another game, but his vote is still on there. Over trying to push a lynch on someone.

The reason I'm putting him as a villager is that he's providing thoughts on several players, which shows he's paying attention and not going through the motions.  Scum!Eldrick comes out of the woodwork with random posts that scream wolf, but Town!Eldrick does what he's doing here (imo) - show follow up with multiple players and progress based on feedback from other sources.

 

If he's not screaming wolf, it means he's probably not one.

@ Zander - my first reaction to Seph and his peek is that he was trying to act like some of the other top guys here having seen it being done, I thought he was quite new to Mafia...the tunnel info I didn't like because too many times I have seen this on day 1 and ended in disaster...not everyone had come into the thread. It was Seph's in insistance that he knows Durin is town that pings me more.

The w/w bit had a questionable fore as it was a thought that crossed my mind. I felt AJ trying to find an excuse to vote Seph, he might do that if he was a wolf partner or thought that Seph had a role, hence the question mark.

I said I know durin was town for the seer cover. I get what people are saying, but I am sticking with my cover. whether it is obvious it is fake or it isn't, I posted it how I intended it to be there.

Side note: I won't really be that active today. I'm going to be away from my desk most of the day and there will be 2 meetings will champagne. 

 

I'm generally bothered that Leelou is focused on AH's activity.  In the game Leelou just moderated, AH got mislynched and her inactivity D1 was a large factor in why she was unable to clear herself late in the game.  AH is well aware that her particularly detached silence makes her a huge target--more than other silent players.  This makes me think that her absence is probably a genuine lack of time that persists through both her wolf and her town games.  AH knows it's not a viable wolf strat for her game; it's not really indicative of anything at this point.  I feel like players who just watched her get mislynched four days ago should be on a similar page as me with this.

 

The fact that she said she'd come back in 18 hours and didn't makes her really easy meat for wolves, like maybe [v]Leelou[/v].

 

Also, AH saying she'd share thoughts when she got back home from work and then saying she hoped she'd have thoughts to share when she got back home from work is a really petty "inconsistency" to focus on.

 

I'm struggling to keep Sili in my null pile and his posts about AH are one part of that.  I was really hoping AH would show up and I could see how Sili and Leelou handled her, but she hasn't yet and I wanted to get my thoughts out there.  I'm a little annoyed at AH for all this, but I'll base my opinion on what she actually says when she gets here.  Last game, when AH finally showed up she showed up in force.

Seems like you are trying to save face here. Your first post looks like you came in and didn't read, but posted anyways. Then you stuck around a bit and posted saying you are current.

Sooh has a bland opening post. Don't like her mentioning of pulling a Heart but not saying anything. Means that she at least glanced at the thread but has nothing to add.

At this point, could vote Heart or Sooh. Possibly Seph. I've only seen him as mafia. How is he as town?

 

Actually I thought Sooh's opening was a lot better than Heart's because Sooh knew Heart's had drawn negative attention from me but did a similar thing anyway.

 

Also, Heart's opening is bad because after only 3 pages she implies has thoughts to share,which means she's feeling very self-conscious. What she said is what people say after at least 30 pages in my experience.

 

In contrast Sooh said she would catch up after she got back, which is a lot more natural.

I just didn't like that Sooh drew attention to something negative that she saw was going on and posted similarly. Her saying she would catch up when she gets back is better than what Heart said, but it also has implications that she is caught up and added nothing.

Laine - I didn't say it was drawing negative attention to Heart. Heart was already getting negative attention and Sooh said - "pulling a Heart" - in her post. To me it shows that she has some knowledge of what was going on in the thread and didn't comment on anything & use something that was getting negative attention in her post. I might not be explaining it the best as to what is going through my head.

But you did. Above, in the blue. There was really nothing wrong with Sooh's post, but you're willing to vote either of them? I'm just seeing a disconnect here.

 

I'm also, and on a separate note, taking the stance of defending people with busy lives.

Not really a disconnect. I'm saying that Sooh posted pulling a Heart, something that Heart has been getting negative attention and it implied Sooh has some knowledge of what was going on in the thread. I may have explained myself wrong, so I'm trying to clarify for you. And yes, I'd be willing to vote for her or anyone really at this point. Heart more than Sooh though. If you notice I haven't voted yet. I'm trying to get more solid reads first.

@Leelou: Probably just a disconnect in how I'm reading it then. I read it as you calling out Sooh for drawing extra attention to Heart's op which was already getting attention from Sili and Darthe.
