I finally made it to summer break, so figured I'd see how's life going here for everyone! Been a while since I've ventured into these parts...but kinda missed chocolate and brew tea, ya know?

Welcome back

If you need something to read, check The Quest in the campfires.

If you like another drink, i'm pretty sure there are a few people in here, including me, ready to get you something.

As for chocolate:  i'll get you some, one sec...

Perfect delicious looking chocolate there! As for reading, I'm currently halfway through The Gathering Storm and hoping to finally finish the series before school starts back up again in August. However, I have other reading to do in order to prepare for the classes I'm teaching, specifically novels so who knows if I'll get the series done or not....

I'm doing pretty good - it was a crazy year at the school I teach at and we're going to have 7-9 new staff members next year so should be another interesting year there! Thanks for the bandy....I think....

Jeaaaaaaaaaaa ! *hugs*

Nice to see you !!!!!

how have u been ?

Nice to see you Chae! *hugs back* I've been around lol how have you been?

*hugs*. Good to see ya! How's everything?

*hugs back* Good enough for a visit here  lol

Aside from finishing up school, I'm planning on taking the GRE in July, getting certified to teach AP classes (also in July), working on preparing for yearbook next year and just making sure I have all my ducks in a row with all new administration at the school.

Welcome back, Jea!  Yes, I finally ventured out of the Tower again and stumbled across the Band.  Actually, I think Horn stuck out his foot and tripped me, then dice pushed me back down when I tried to get up, and then others gave me a drink or ten and I've been here ever since.

Thanks for the welcome, and that sounds like an accurate description of what can happen here lol It's been ages since I've been to the Tower....although I did do some lurking (it's a longstanding habit of mine lol)

So, tell me, anything new here, or do we still have all the same old troublemakers and shenanigans?

*sends a wicked evil grin to Dice and Thane*

There's always some group roaming around lol I guess I'll have to venture further out of the woodwork to see what they've really been up to!

Welcome back Jea! Now stick around!

Anything New Jea? Well they made me MG!!! About time right?

Not much new - just same old me doing my best at being a teacher, reading as much as possible, and working on doing some more writing. I'll do my best to stick around - summer's a pretty slow time for me, although I have a whole bunch of teacher workshops to go to during July!

Well, my first year teaching I taught 3rd-5th ELL Students, 2nd year teaching I taught 7th-9th grade English with Jr/Sr English Electives and Spanish, this past year I taught 8th and 10th grade English, proctored dual credit English, and Yearbook. Now for next year I'm hoping to have 10th-12th (with 12th grade being AP English), Spanish, and Yearbook. Oh, and I teach novels as an elective. But that's a lot of classes you have to teach! I've enjoyed being a teacher, but I'm thinking of getting a master's in print culture, editing and manuscript and moving into that world as I've always wanted to be a writer. A job at a publishing company would almost be like a dream come true - that or just become a published author, one of the two! lol

Oh that sounds really exciting! Follow your dreams is what I say

Do you like teaching older kids more?

I much prefer teaching older kids and have always thought about becoming a college professor after starting on my Master's degree. Of course, I want to have more options than just teaching, which is why I've looked into print culture a lot more recently - I already do freelance editing/writing and greatly enjoy it (the vast majority of the time that is lol). Now I just need to do well on the GRE and hope that math part doesn't hurt me too much!
