Blegh is tough to make a case on mobile. The tldr is that his posts look coached, his standoffishness D1 was player specific and didn't tend to be level across the board and I generally feel bad about the slot.

 

Could be wrong though, I've got that suspicion too based on how others are treating this from me, entirely the point of my behavior.

But I think shad sounds too knowledgeable to be on game 1. Just look at his last few posts. He feels very confident and coached. I don't remember being like that in my first game. Have you ISOd shad?

i have an idea of what you're talking about, and i don't really mind it. we can lynch shad although I would prefer one of AH talya or dae.

 

it's just I think darthe needs to explain it in his own words before I follow him.

I went to bed last night with Darthe in my headlights, and I woke up to find Eldrick had voted him. This is going to come back and haunt me if Eldrick does get lynched first and flips wolf (doubtful), but I really dislike Darthe's attitude so far. Zero engagement, just pops in once in a while to remind us that good little townies will vote Eldrick.

I think you're trying to establish some sort of "cool guy" persona and sway votes without having to resort to analysis and reason. You're acting as if the wolves are so obvious that anyone should have it figured out already, hoping people will follow your confident lead to avoid looking stupid for not being as on top of the game as you. That will ensure one town lynch, and then you change your game, right?

Eldrick basically always posts in catch up mode, w or v, so that's not indicative IMO.

I like this early post of Sooh's, that and the posts I saw on catch up seemed townish.

 

Alanna I would say due to the interaction between her and Yates, and then him being the nightkill.  A more experienced mafia team would know to silence him early, and it seemed to me upon read up that his focus was on her quite a few times.  To silence him early before he can clear himself is a smart move.

 

Talya I would say purely on that D'oh hammer.

 

We have had a lunch and one night kill and this is all she could come up with when she read the thread. This has a feel of trying to slip under the radar and not do much. Her first statement is convienant too, another person who thinks Eld is town and with her lack of playing, makes me lean slight wolf on her.

Well it's nice to know my gut isn't entirely wrong (re. Eldrick), although obviously not good that we're now two town down. I don't know enough about Yates and his playstyle to comment on whether the NK on him indicates an experienced Mafia team, but i'll be guided by others. 

 

Not quite sure what Sili is getting at on me setting up mislynches. My posts will normally be substantive and set out what i think about my main suspects, and my reasons for doing so. You may not buy the fact I accepted Eldrick's defence, but at the end of the day I similarly screwed up big time in American Gods about 24 hours before Eldrick screwed up here. Without a doubt i was influenced by that, which is why i was more inclined to believe Eldrick - and tied to the swift condemnation from multiple sources it really looked like Mafia scenting weakness and heading in for the kill. After some time to reflect, and evidence presented, it seemed to me that I might be bias due to my actions, and accordingly went with the evidence. It's hardly surprising that my confidence took a knock after bowing out of American Gods so early due to a stupid mistake.

 

Talking about stupid mistakes, i feel we need to talk about the hammer drop. The gap between my vote and Talya's hammer was 12 minutes. We were very lucky that Eldrick didn't have a role, 'cause he sure as hell didn't get a chance to claim it in that time. Yes he could have claimed earlier, but standard meta back in the day was to claim as a last resort - if you didn't have to, don't do it! Talya either made a big mistake, or mafia were deliberately waiting to shut the door on Eldrick asap. She is clearly expecting some heat for this action (justifiably!) and she knows it was wrong - it's arse covering, but is it mafia arse covering? Added to that, Talya then disappears presumably to keep a low profile and hope some distractions show up and her mistake will just be swept under the carpet, and it seems to be working. Mafia trying to throw us off the scent and cover for her?

 

 

 

 

 

This post is a lot of window dressing, like the last one is. Red undermines your argument on talya, but makes it look like you're considering all the options. Blue is the only proper argument you offer for voting Talya, and it's not very good considering you were also away for a long time after putting Eldrick at L-1.

 

You look like you're sheeping other people, now hoping I'll vote with you on Talya, which I still might, but you did the same with Shad and Eldrick yesterday.

 

With respect to your knowledge Eldrick was town, making a mistake yourself doesn't all of a sudden mean anyone else who makes a mistake is town. It just means they made a mistake.

 

You looked to be setting up mislynches because you case shad and i for spew pre-flip, and infer based on eldrick's alignment, tying me to darthe, and tying shad to eldrick. I know I'm town, and tying me to darthe because I dared to defend a town read is bs.

Activity level is normal hallia fyi. She tends to comment on whatever is important to her only.
