Cass, he didn't catch me because there's nothing to catch. I'm town.

I was getting upset because he originally was saying that I had to check to see who Darthe spewed town before giving my peek.

1) The first reason that's wrong is what I've already explained. I liked, and agreed, with AJ'S D1 thought about holding peeks until EOD. Since I had already said that I felt I didn't need to repeat it again beginning of D2 when I said I'd wait to reveal it. I put Tress as green. Regardless of the fact I forgot to hit post when I typed that I liked her reads I had her a green. Then when I got the news about my mom I decided to reveal after all and put her to a blue read.

Now, if I had not had Tress as a green right away, then I could maybe see where he's going with this push.

2) Why would I, as a wolf, say I'd wait then turn around and say my peek was Tress? That draws me in the light like it has. It would've been better to say I peeked a different name off my green list.

Believe me or not but what I said is what happened in point 1.

Clov later changed the argument to being that I chose Tress and that it was seer cover, but that wasn't his orignal push.

Also, Wombat chimed in after I explained what happened and pushed that it wad the seer cover thing. Doesn't make me feel better about him b/c at that point I had already explained that the original push was something different.

As for why I chose Tress, i did like her reads and wanted to know if she was town. (Oh look, a shiny!)

That was for Tress btw, an inside comment she'll get.

Thanks for the extra explanation. I think I mostly understand/agree with where you are/were coming from and until something else stands out about either of you I'm still reading you the more likely Town. Not sure what this means for Clov.

I didn't see the bold as overly suspicious when I re-read and re-read, fwiw, I saw it as him developing his suspicion on you and I don't know if that's alignment indicative either way. Wombat I'll have to go back and look at later on, thought he was just explaining SHC but it will be interesting to read to see if you have it right.

How many shiny inside comments does Tress have??

The bold on Womby. My problem isn't his explanation but rather the timing. Clov and Cory had already explained seer cover, and I had already explained that Clov was talking about something else.

I actually kind of like the way Clov went after Kaylee. I think he's wrong about her but the way he was following a haunch and noticing little details comes across like he's trying to figure out the game and I like that.

It was the way he was posting. He seemed to be scum hunting. I would like to see him vote this phase though.

Because if I recall in your read list all you did was say he was sexy or w/e. Now you have a really weird habit of making these comments in your read lists when you're scum. Like when we were scum together you said I was pretty in your read list. And there's a second instance you did it again in some game I was spectating. I'm trying not to let it color my read of you, because I do think you've been playing a pro-town game so far.

In any case, you read Verbal well and I'd like to know the specifics of why you are town reading him.

Well I'm not certain but I think trying to go after you, as scum, would be a pretty dumb move considering you're been a consensus-y townie for the majority of the game. Just my two cents. But with Clov.... there really is no telling lol

After several of my villager reads are basically disagreeing with me, I'd say I'm less confident but not ready to move yet.

As for Wombat, I think he's been doing a lot of "chiming in", but not a lot of original thought.

Ok. Quick and early Dice I understand as Town. Just to clarify: Him asking you that question is a common part of how he makes his decision?

It can be. Remember Dice = gut and AJ = someone i found 3rd party off a one word post. Him answering tat question can sometimes nudge me in the right direction

I've read Clov's posts and I don't have much to add beyond what I already said. He did have some good posts. In some it felt like he was prodding for the sake of prodding. I'm not sure how I feel about his pushes (ie Cass and dice). Feels a bit too easy. And something about him feels off to me. It bothers me that I can't really articulate this better. The 'tude was kinda weird too, but I might just be pointing it out cause I found it incredibly irritating.

With that said, I have a track record of screwing up and mislynching him as town. So I'd really like to hear other people's take on him.Also I hope Halli will manage to come around after work and voice her concerns, as I know she had some.

This is a serious question, and I'm only trying to be half as much of an asshole as it's going to make me sound like.

Do you think it's wrong of me to read the really obvious townies as town? Or should I push them just to avoid going after the two or three people at the bottom?

I think you should be considering that you are wrong on at least one of them as I know you are wrong on me.

Because I think he would. You have to be careful about investing too much into emotional responses from players like Cory who are emotionally driven. The stuff he was saying earlier about wearing his heart on his sleeve is true, but I think that reflects in either alignment. It's my belief that Cory dislikes playing as a wolf. I don't think he'd disagree. That dislike stems into his game as a wolf and with it carries a certain undertone of hostility imo. That was the impression I got when seeing how he was handling a few players like Clov/Verb early on and then later with you towards EOD.

As far as him disliking AtE, I would say that's true.

The underlined is what was bugging me D1. Don't see that so far D2 so not sure what that means. Happy TownCory? Caught out WolfCory readjusting his game? Dunno. Something I can solve now or even after he flips? Probably not. Giving up on it ITT for now, but as an aside trying to figure it out is kinda fun. Because I'm insane, obvs :biggrin: .

Cory takes to heart being wrong a lot. Like he legit gets depressed from it, and I can relate because I get like that too sometimes. Especially when I'm just so freaking confident and then it doesn't pan out. I just don't usually tend to vocalize it on thread like he does.

I once played a game with him off DM and he died early on and kept blaming himself for town mislynching from that point onward and basically losing the game... even though he wasn't in the picture anymore and could do nothing about it. He blamed himself for not providing a better read list before he died. So yeah, he gets very broody and bent out of shape about these things and I think his reaction to Sooh's flip reflects that.

To be honest the only thing so far that pinged me about Cory is him calling me a respectable member of DM mafia lmfao
