This is my first advanced game, so I am pretty clueless besides the town and mafia role.

Multiball means there will be more than 1 scum team. And they have to beat each other as well as Town.

If the game is multiball, as I understand the term, that means we have a large number of guilty parties.

The discussion will, invariably, die if there are a large number of guilty parties and almost no reason for them to feel under pressure.

We may have 1 more guilty party than you would normally find in a game this size BUT that also means each scum team will be smaller in size. So the smaller scum teams make finding scum mates much more difficult than in a normal game PLUS both scum teams have to actually scum hunt to find the other team which, in turn, forces them to post more villagery.

Multiball could also mean this is a recruiting game. So you need to be on the look out for interactions that do a 180. That could be a cop clear or that could be a recruit that got recruited. It's a mess and typically doesn't end well for the Town.

thanks yates. this is way more exciting than a basic game lol. I am not fond of the recruiting however. Could town have a ability like this, or is it usually the mafia?

Recruiting isn't town. It's typically cult, and is sometimes mafia.

it isn't *usually* town but it could be, I've played in a game where the town mason team were recruiters. However I don't think that's something to worry about here. That mod was known for off the wall ideas.

Well I can't sleep, so I might as well eat. Sleeping and eating, my two favorite hobbies.I am leaning voting for Zander, I have not done so because I see others have voted for him and I do not wish to create a runaway wagon which may harm discussion and relieve pressure on everyone else as well.If the game is multiball, as I understand the term, that means we have a large number of guilty parties. The discussion will, invariably, die if there are a large number of guilty parties and almost no reason for them to feel under pressure. What will happen next is easy smokescreening. It is more pro-village to keep the tally low.But for the record, Zander is my lynch choice today.Sooh seems villagery, only because I've spoken to her before the game.I have not a whole lot to read the rest of you based off of.If you would interact with me more, it would be helpful. Vote me, say why I'm guilty or not guilty, ask me questions, engage in a joke contest, anything.

Saying Zander is your lynch choice today implies that you intend to move your vote there. It doesn't add up with you calling it a runway train. You're just waiting for the right moment to put your vote on him, and that looks really bad. If you really do think he's scum, there is no reason to not put your vote on him.

If I might step in here, because I have a little history with Pizza, I think Pizza is saying he doesn't want to tunnel, to maximize the variety of discussion in the thread. According to pizza, when you have one or two wagons all the discussion becomes only about those wagons, and he, from what I'm gathering, doesn't think that's optimal no matter how likely someone is to flip wolf. He wants to continue poking around with his vote even though he thinks Zander is scum.

defense of Pizza logic noted. I want to hear pizza give his own reasons and not get a free out by someone else answering for him

I'm not questioning his prodding everybody. It's a good idea. Something I'm not very good at, but I'm still glad it's being done. My issue is with his voting. These are two very different things.

@EP I didn't think about masons having a recruit. That's an interesting concept. I wouldn't put it past Darthe to do something like that, though. From what I've heard, he has crazy ideas too.

I don't see why he can't do that while he has his vote on Zander.

I am starting to get a town vibe from AJ. He is playing the same way he was in the last game.

Depends on how you perceive your own vote.

For example, I, this game, have wielded it like a sword.

Aj is doing his part and I think he is probably town too. His reads are flexible, he pressures when he has a bad vibe, and I get the impression he considers his options in a +ev way.

For the record I'm somewhat suspicious of Eld, for a newish player he is doing a lot of speculatory talk on game setup, and that feels a bit off to me.

Game mechanics come more easily than reading people. I like figuring out how things work. I have even modded games in the past. Sorry if that feels off to you. It wasn't intentional.

To me so far it seems to be a misunderstanding which is not related to his alignment, but Pizza will answer in his own words regardless of what I say. It'll probably be a block of text too, because that's the sort of person he is; he goes overboard.

My goal was to stop v/v tunneling if that's what it is.

This is true. It's also important to keep in mind that I am already suspicious of him, so I might be unintentionally tunneling. AJ agrees with me, and you don't on this matter.

We both think AJ is town.

I'm happy with my suspicion of Pizza at the moment.

There's a fair chance EP is mafia after failing to connect his reads. First he approves of Eldrick's case on Pizza, expresses a desire for Pizza to respond in his own words, and doesn't like me defending Pizza, and then he says he's suspicious of Eldrick.

His read on me and Pizza, and his approval of Eldrick's case on Pizza is disharmonious with his scum read of Eldrick. In my opinion, this reads inconsistency has a pretty high chance of catching scum, since it projects two very different narratives: he both has a town read of Eldrick, and a scum read of Eldrick. It can't be both, so he's faking it, and so I'm sticking my vote on EP over Zanders at eod.

Hi guys. I'm a villager and i have exactly two reads right Now

Sili is probably a villager but I might try getting at him out of spite for voting me every game for no reason.

Based on my perception of seph'sseph's villager/wolf games he flips villager here way more often than he flips wolf

#hotreads

Dude, I am so sorry for lynching you last time on tmf.

Like, I tracked ultra, and I knew you were scum before you even subbed in, but still bro, sorry.

That said, I have no idea why you feel like I vote you every game for no reason. That is pure nonsense.

On another note, my vote didn't count, so...

I like this post and agree.

I don't know if I said that right.

Basically, Pizza doesn't want to focus on only one player because he wants to pressure other leads.

I think people can speak for themselves.

Okay, this was interesting as well. Will see where this goes.

I have read the whole EP - Seph back and forth but feel lost about it. I´m not good at playing big games so I will probably focus on a few people from the beginning, especially people that I think I might be able to read.

Pizza - I´m not sure how it is where you play but this is a big game and an early vote won´t lead to a fast train. We rarely have quick lynches here, especially when there are so many needed to reach a lynch. How do you preassure people enough without voting them?

Hello and Happy Mother's Day to all the mother's here!!

This vote doesn´t look good. You are voting the person that has been talked about lately but not stating a real reason.

its a feeling hence why i said i didnt like it,  its early and things can change.  not gonna fret or worry about throwing my vote out to my gut feel this early in the game.

What is this?

I may as well vote you if you're not inclined to communicate your gut feels.

[v]Zander[/v]

Those where the posts I should have quoted.

And I don´t remember if I need to unvote so:

Note: My two posts above say the same thing. First one says it better though. When I say 'fair chance' in the second one it's clear that's not what I mean, and I think I was just being soft, to be sociable. Since DM was lagging I wanted to change it to be more direct.

Yates, I am not specifically ignoring you buddy.

Too late. The damage is done. I was hoping you came here to play with ME but you said you came here to play with Sooh. SOOH! She isn't even an American!! She's one of those Scandinavian weirdos. Like Tina. But from the MEXICO of Scandinavia. I mean... Sooh is alright and all but I'm a FUN FACTORY. And my heart will never be whole again.
