WK - Thane says that Cass is mafia and are trying yo prove using his quote, but he said she was trying to clear you as town. If you are agreeing with that then are confirming you are mafia. Thst post is saying that not only is Cass mafia but you are on her team.

AJ - you think that a vote stealer that steals a vote in private, moves that vote with nothing in secret is town. It's only because of a slip that we know about. Otherwise we woukd be in the dark. That does not sound like a town aligned role. WK keeps on linking his role with Leelou's to make it sound more town . H also promised to tell us something about his role last night, come day he refused.

He is not helping town. Carry on defending him and will believe you are on his team.

It's not really secretive when it shows on the VC - is it? He made a point on D3? D4? Whatever it was to make sure it was obvious when the vote was used.

What he says is right. His ability is a strong one right now because it potentially keeps wolves from having majority in the coming phases and those pushing him hard on it probably want to know the details so they can gage how big of a threat he is.

Don't threaten me lol. You're beginning to come across very Pizza-like with how hard you're trying to push this counter wagon. You outright say you don't want to vote AH, but you're "unsure" of Hallia.  Sounds like you're giving yourself leeway to join her with the dead line falling tonight if you needed to. Perhaps I'm wrong after all and you're the person we need to be stringing up today.

Andrej, I see where you're coming with this a little bit, But isn't town a bit overpowered with two voting roles? Plus all the other PRs that there have been? I just find it implausible that WK is town with his ability and his actions. And the only reason he revealed is because AHeart outted him. When he flips mafia, we need to look at her tomorrow.

Unvote Vote: WK

AJ - the only reason we know about it because of the slip otherwise we would not know. Hw was on EP yesterday then when things got hot for him (5) I think it was he switched his and Cass's to Sooh. I think once that vote is locked in he cant change it. So why didnt he put the other on EP.

A black wind howls.

The ever dwindling group looked among their companions and carefully deliberated.  The past day and a half had been a bloodshed in which they saw the graves growing ever increasing.  If they were to win against the forces of evil, today would be crucial.  Their eyes darted around as they walked on.   It was nearly sunset before they stopped to gather their thoughts.

Fingers were pointed in every direction.  They nearly came to blows time after time, before they decided on one: White Knight.

He was cornered before he could even protest.  A dagger was driven into the wizard's chest and ripped towards the long, gray beard that hung off his chin.  His chest cavity opened, blood staining the ground.  His heart slowed to a halt.

White Knight - Radagast, Town Brown Goo has been lynched!

It is now Night Five.  You have 18 hours to submit all night actions.

Now news came to Hithlum that Dorthonion was lost and the sons of Finarfin overthrown, and that the sons of Fëanor were driven from their lands. Then Fingolfin beheld… the utter ruin of the Noldor, and the defeat beyond redress of all their houses; and filled with wrath and despair he mounted upon Rochallor his great horse and rode forth alone, and none might restrain him. He passed over Dor-nu-Fauglith like a wind amid the dust, and all that beheld his onset fled in amaze, thinking that Oromë himself was come: for a great madness of rage was upon him, so that his eyes shone like the eyes of the Valar. Thus he came alone to Angband’s gates, and he sounded his horn, and smote once more upon the brazen doors, and challenged Morgoth to come forth to single combat. And Morgoth came.

Eternal Phoenix - Ecthelion I, town vanilla has been night killed.

Aiel Heart, Ungoliath, Fatherless Mafia 2x killer has been night killed.

It is impossible for the Classic wolf team to lose.

Andrej, Seph, Cass and Alannalynn win!

Actions List

Dead Thread

Classic Wolf Team

Fatherless Wolf Team

Mason Chat

The only really special features of this game not mentioned in the actions list are that the wolves had two NK's every three nights, on two nights of their choice.

Nexus did not block kills.

Immunity did not prevent investigations.

Brown goo did not make the person that targeted them goo.

Gladiator replaced the lynch.

Day Ender forced the lynch of the current high wagon.

The biggest aspect I wanted to implement in this was a game that allowed for a lot of creative interplay between night actions and maintained even balance throughout the game.  There isn't much swing here (for multiball) and a lot of it relies on the lynch so in that sense I felt it was a very mature setup.

A few things I would have enjoyed to see:

Immunity not preventing investigations meant that it only really stopped the other teams kills and the commute, meaning that it was ALWAYS going to be open to investigation where the other three members of that team were not.

A commuter who targeted a person with brown goo would invalidate the brown goo but it also means that if someone else targeted brown goo the goo wouldn't know about it, weakening that investigative power.  Brown goo, by the way, was definitely investigative in nature here.

Forensic investigator didn't get fleshed out in the game which was saddening but it could have been a powerful ability, like census, in this setup.

Nonetheless we had a lot of good night play.  Town unfortunately took the vast brunt of that here but I think all in all this is a setup I would like to run again as is.

On to a few flubs on my end:

I can't find a couple of VC's from d3.  I just don't know where they went.

Early on I designed this game and then left for a cruise.  When i got back I couldn't find my notes so had to stick in a couple of different character names.  Most notably Ungoliath and the White Cat were dragons in my temp design.  I fixed that D1 which changed the flavor.  I also had forgotten to tell the wolf teams that they only had two nights per three days.  That would have been bad.

There was a day that went by where I had the two mafia teams backwards and that almost led to some shenanigans.

There were three modkills in this game, a record high on my end sadly.  Two of them may be questioned but I currently stand by both.  It should be noted that in both circumstances the players were doing things that were gray areas by most standards.  Another moderator might have chosen differently but that can be discussed in a bit.

I think wolf MVP goes to Andrej and Pizza respectively.  Both performed outstandingly for their teams.  Verbal probably deserves town MVP.  Had it not been for Pizza completely selling his outlandish claim during the gladiator challenge this would have been a drastically different game and Verbal was able to pick up on that early.

Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to all who played. :)

Yes, thank you to all of the players and a special thanks to Clov who stepped in early on and has been an incredible help ever since.  You make games more fun man.

I don't think we broke the record but if I am not mistaken this is one of the largest games ever on DM.
