No Lynch isn't the most helpful scenario for town but with this already being a small game it's one less potential town player dead to bring mafia closer to victory. In a way, we're forcing them to give us information by way of their NK so I don't want to be hugely pessimistic here.

 

Whether or not John is telling the truth will come to light eventually but until we have a CC or end up in some weird scenario where he is still alive towards the end of the game, we're best off letting him do his diligence and hopefully find some scum for town. I think it pretty much goes without saying where the doc needs to be tonight, but I'm going to say it anyway because I've personally had some experiences in the past of docs derping :dry:

 

Moving into D2 I think my focus will centralize mostly around the trio of Nolder, Not Bob and Thane. I think some resolution needs be had in that area and I wouldn't at all be surprised if we find a wolf or two amongst them. I'm not quite ready to try and piece a team together without more evidence but I could see outlier players such as Sooh or Eldrick being mafia as well.

 

Time will tell I suppose.

The thing about lynches is there is a finite amount of them.

You only get some many per game and it's the only power town is guaranteed to have.

It is literally how town wins.

 

Losing a lynch is kind of a big deal. I don't want to play doom and gloom but I also don't want to downplay it's importance.

Don't get me wrong, we made the right move not lynching the cop claim but it's very unfortunate that we didn't have time to regroup and focus on a different person to lynch.

I'm here, as much as I can be between actual work. I have two scheduled calls before deadline, and 23 tasks from YESTERDAY to finish, not to mention the 26 for today, before the end of my work day. I can't spend a lot of time on this, needless to say.

 

I'm not particularly interested in voting AJ at the moment because I need to reread his posts to form a better idea of his alignment. I did Snow's ISO this morning so at least I feel informed there. I'm not feeling confident that lynching him will result in a mafia flip, but if it's down to just my vote i will not force a no lynch.

 

As an aside, I don't think taking Ithi's character claim at face value is wise. At the risk of gaming the mod, I know she and i work similarly, and she would not allow character claims without providing safe fake claims. In the first game we modded together, the main character of the source material was reserved as a safe fake claim for mafia. Without a role claim, you're not likely to get a counterclaim in any event.

 

This has been bugging me for a while. The past 2 games I was maf, and was offered fake role claims. I personally don't like the idea of fake role claims. It takes away the risk of claiming. If the mod doesn't link roles with characters, they mean nothing. People should be able to CC characters just as they can CC roles. That's just my take on it.

Have found posts scummy. Off my head is his reads list, and a post about having a plea bargain deal.
 
I have also found he seems to be falling back on alot of comments with its just a joke. And he is not putting in spoiler tags for me.

That didn't seem like a planned thing. For one thing it drew attention to him. Of course it could have been a carefully scripted series of posts.

We let the claimed cop live and he nailed 3 scum in a row for the win.

I haven't said anything because I was raised to believe that OMGUS is scummy, Night discussion only helps mafia, and DPR is the best mod ever. 

 

 

Hopefully not all of those have changed since I got back.
