Can you expand on the Yates statement for me? This is probably me being insanely tired, but I don't get what you mean.

Darthe was mod in my most recent scum game - and the person I've been playing mafia with the longest. Well, technically I was a SK but in a game with no mafia. If you take a look at the game? I was a consensus Town read Day 1. The only reason I was busted is because Tress ALWAYS investigates me Day 1. ALWAYS. And if you look at any of my scum games, that tends to be the case far more often than not. I didn't realize this was a tell, and I need to figure out how to do that as Town more, but there it is...

El claimed to have voted Darthe before even reading his role PM. The continuous voting of Darthe could be him saving face. Just a random thought from my head.

This is another good point against Eldrick. I forgot about that whole "voting before reading the role PM" brouhaha that seemed insignificant at the time. He can be in my willing to lynch pool.

All right, I definitely didn't get as much shock and awe as I was hoping for.  Next time, I'll try to make a move earlier so everybody is around to see it.  

 

The reason I wanted to put pressure on Dice was because I thought his EoD reeked.  This is partially why I was encouraging people to not go all-in on Darthe being scum.  About an hour from deadline, the vote count was six on Darthe, four on Lily.  Dice voted Darthe to put him up to 7 (L-1).  I voted Lily and put her at 5.  Darthe called Dice out for weak reasoning, and Dice confirmed that.

He's not wrong.  One hour away, you're not getting a fresh lynch going - one of Darthe or Lily was going to die.  After a short talk with Darthe, he unvoted because he didn't feel very great about either lynch.  Perfectly reasonable.  Why help somebody die when you can keep them alive?  Only problem I saw was this...

 

 

yes I do think darthe is Town. Was only voting him because we got the most info out of it. He came back at me   and he was right and i decided I didnt like either of the lynch options. The bad is I forgot this was hammer game  too used to hybrid hammer I think  but im not real upset that Darthe didnt get lynched.

 

 

and of course its the Future...she isnt old enough to join DM yet!  look out if i come to visit her....

 

 

Dice apparently thought it was a hybrid hammer game.  Therefore, in his mind, Darthe was doomed regardless of whether his (Dice) vote was there.  The only exception to this would have been if he had voted Lily to force a tie.  This is why I asked what he thought he would achieve by unvoting.  If Dice genuinely believed it was a hybrid hammer game, the correct play would have been to either

 

A) Lynch Darthe, if you felt better about his chance to be scum than Lily's, to give some distance OR

B) Lynch Lily, if you felt better about her, and hope RNGesus blessed you.  

 

All abstaining does is suggest you don't care which of them dies and keeps the blood of your hands.  Not a good look. So, I wanted to see who would bite on me hinting Dice was mafia, who would defend, who would avoid it, and what Dice would say.

 

 

 

And in a strange turn of events, I appear to have gotten a survivor claim out of it,  So C-LOL-vgoat, or something?

Yates, can you talk to me about Thane?  You always say you can read him pretty well.  I had him as a middle town read following D1, and probably about a lower town read now. His notes looked pretty genuine to me, pretty much what I would expect from Thane. I didn't love his earlier reads, but that's mainly because I think Darthe was higher than he probably ought to have been, and I feel like MC was pretty obvious town from D1.  I'm pretty sure his reads were before she claimed vig, but based just on the game, not sure null was appropriate.
