The reason it bugged me is because you made a point of not voting him, saying that it didn't really matter.
At the time I defended you but since then I've decided it does matter, just for a different reason than you were being criticized for.

Verb <3 - Verb's posts have been decent. I liked his exchange with Tina, but the Spidey could use some work. Hon, what do you think of Nolder? Also, don't ignore me.

Sili  - Got people to start talking, but generally null with a sprinkling of both town and scum. I don't like the fact that he tried to say he wouldn't be picked and his reads list isn't very captivating. I find it easier to read Sili when he's starting to get pressure and see how he reacts. To answer your question - I was back at work after being off for a week and had a project dumped in my lap that was due by COB.

Thane - Thane is Thane. Only really interacting with Sili. Need to see more here, actual commentary on the game. Null, Null, Null

Hallia - Made a few posts, didn't really say a lot. Has Nyn and AJ as townies. Seems to feel strongly enough that Nol's comment was odd and voted him. The vote has a slight omgus feel to it, slight scum to null.

Nol - Nothing wrong with his posts before 3:41 pm EST yesterday. I don't really agree with his reads on Hallia (she tends to disappear, no offence) and Crusher. Crusher isn't really adding anything of value to the game besides his lovable self.

Tina - I don't really like how easily she's clearing Sili, but I do like that she is asking lots of questions and has a thread presence. She seems to be trying to figure out the game, but I will have to watch her posts going forward. For the moment, slight town lean.

Crushlove - I know Boo Boo isn't here, I miss him dearly, but I'm need more from you. What are your thoughts on some of the players? You know a few of us enough.

Nyn - Nyn's posts are solid, nothing seems out of place. I'll be looking as the game goes on to see if she is more guarded with her words, but she's in my town pile. Plus, busty.

Kaylee - Answered Sili right off the bat. Seems to be coming up with town reads, but not really much for scum reads. Meh, I'll see how I feel after she catches up.

AJ - Seems to be interacting well with who questions him, no squirming.

dice - Not a lot to go on here, got defensive about saying he gave reads in his first post. His reads were meh, not really much of anything to them. Starting to focus on me, me, me and not picking up anything and running with it. Getting a slight scum feel.

Red - going after people for the wrong things, really not liking the small things she is pushing over. Looks like she is trying to find anything to fling around and make stick. Null to scum lean.

Nynaeve was rummaging through some photographs in the greeting station of an old, broken down roller-coaster ride when the Carnival's lakeside PA erupted in static. The white noise slowly lulled into a soft hum, and not before long something new crackled from the old speakers.

It's the soft lull of an acoustic guitar; a man began singing, intently and intensely.

We sent out the SOS call;

it was a quarter past four in the morning

when the storm broke our second anchor line.

Four months at sea,

four months of calm seas to be pounded

in the shallows off the tip of Montauk Point.

She listened wistfully before quickly jerking backward. A hand had poked her on the shoulder.

corycurren stood tall in front of her, empty eyes appraising her carefully.

"You are looking for your friends, are you not?"

"Who are you?" Nynaeve stammered back.

"Relax. I manage this park - about an our ago, we got a notification that two patrons were seperated from a friend. You match that description."

Breaths of quick relief escaped Nynaeve's chest.

"I know it's been a long night; hell, since this whole thing's been such an ordeal, we are just going to sweep the fact that the three of you snuck in here while we were closed under the carpet. I mean, we clearly still need some cleaning up to do before we are ready for customers... but we understand your enthusiasm."

It seemed like this long nightmare had come to an end.

The song on the PA continued:

They call them rogues, they travel fast and alone.

One-hundred-foot faces of God's good ocean gone wrong.

What they call love is a risk,

cause you will always get hit out of nowhere

by some wave and end up on your own.

corycurren explained the situation to her slowly.

"Your friends are waiting by the Log Flume. It's pretty close to here - I'll take you there myself. They should be there waiting."

A white gloved hand extended courteously toward Nynaeve. She scanned his face - brown hair, clean-shaven, hazel eyes empty of sympathy. Just looking into his eyes led a trail of goosebumps from her arm to her spine. She looked away nervously.

"I'll just follow behind you, if you don't mind."

corycurren was off quickly, setting a brisk pace. She jogged after him, letting the unsettling night wash away in the sound of the PA.

Your tongue is a rudder,

it steers the whole ship.

Sends your words past your lips,

or keeps them safe behind your teeth.

But the wrong words will strand you,

come off course while you sleep.

Sweep your boat out to sea -

you're dashed to bits on the reef.

There was nobody at the Log Flume.

Before Nynaeve could ask, corycurren had already begun speaking.

"They should be here soon. Well, since you did come and see the Carnival and all, why don't you take a ride on the Log Flume? It's 100% ready - we tested it earlier this week. It's faster than it's ever been. Makes quite a splash."

"I'll pass," Nynaeve said nervously.

"I insist."

Beyond the nervousness and fear that had wracked her body the whole night, Nynaeve couldn't deny she loved the Log Flume; it was her favorite ride. It was a cold night, but the thrill of the fall... she shook her head. She didn't know where these feelings had come from. But they had time to spare - so why not?

"Alright, let's go."

The PA speakers whispered on:

The vessel groans;

the ocean pressures its frame.

To the port I see the lighthouse,

through the sleet and rain.

And I wish for one more day to give my love and repay debts.

But the morning finds our bodies washed up,

thirty miles west.

"Are you not coming, too?" Nynaeve asked her guide, as she strapped herself into the sturdy, wood seating. corycurren shook his head, gently pressing down the iron safety bar.

"I'll keep a lookout for your friends. Plus, someone needs to operate the ride."

He walked over to the operator panel and flashed a devious smile. His hand came down on hard on the center of the panel, and suddenly Nynaeve's cart was in motion.

It churned up a steep incline, mechanical gears pushing her further and further, until she was at the tippy top. The early night sky was a gorgeous red, and she could see the whole Carnival from the peak of the ride. But it was no sight like the night sky; decrepit, abandoned tents and dead topography. The shivers running through her body suddenly returned. Why had she agreed to come on this ride? What was she doing?

Just then, the cart hit the decline. She dropped fast. The water approached, quicker and quicker, as the wind slammed her hair straight into the air.

SPLASHHHHHHH~

The impact of the water hit her skin like a ton of bricks. The water was cold. Too cold. Freezing cold.

She tried to scream but water quickly flew into her lungs. She coughed hard and closed her mouth. The cart had hit the water already! But it was still going down. Down deeper and deeper and deeper...

Survival instinct kicked in. Nynaeve thrashed at the seatbelt that held her in, pushed her arms hard against the iron bar that held her from escape. It wouldn't move an inch. She pushed harder, now the force of her body slamming against the bar. Something in the internal machinery gave out, and the bar creaked up. She pushed herself off the floor of the little log cart, finally rid of her constraints.

Now loose in the water, she kicked as hard as she could, propelling herself upward with all of her conscious fervor, beating and scraping in a battle against the undercurrents and presssure. No, she would not go quietly.

She could almost see the surface when everything went dark.

The PA crooned on, brusquely unaware of the plight happening just below the thin veneer of blue:

They say that the captain stays fast with the ship,

through still and storm.

But this ain't the Dakota, and the water is cold.

We won't have to fight for long.

This is the end.

Nynaeve's chance of survival have... sunk.

She was 1x Watcher / Innocent Child.

You did not escape. Try again? zPXU69O.gif

The sun rises. You have escaped the night, for better or worse. There is still no sign of Patty and Brad, and you're increasingly aware that this Carnival is starting to get into your head. There's a buzz in your ear that's slowly increasing in volume. When it's bright enough to see, little blots in your vision let you peer upon distortions and terrors that aren't there. At least, you keep telling yourself there's nothing there; as every minute passes, you are further and further unsure.

You stretch out and decide that you'll accomplish nothing without moving.

Hmmm, gonna look at Dice's train (plus Sili) and also who Nyn was pushing yesterday and see if I can make any connections.

But that's for later...first I need dinner.

I'm gonna need to look back at the voting yesterday as well. There's a few people I want to look into specifically.

I don't think Leelou is necessarily a bad direction to move in today for some pressure. Some resolution needs to be had there after the things others have pointed out as well as the little triangle of her, Red and Kaylee. I would like to hear thoughts from all three on current events and where they stand with their suspects.

Of those 3 I feel most strongly Red would be town, followed by Kaylee and then Leelou.

Hallia I'm unsure of. I need more from her. Her one-off comment about being right on Dice post flip and then leaving again is the type of stuff I would gun for her over in the past.

IIRC Nyn voted for you, Nolder and then moved to Dice before EOD.

I'm fairly confident on my town reads of Tina, Crusher, Thane and Red.

Specifically of kay nold red and crush who is scum iyo

If I had to rank:

Nolder > Kay > Red > Crusher

Feeling gud about Crusher and Red being town though. Kaylee could be but the way she follows others around bothers me.

Nolder is someone I could fall either way with tbh. I don't think if he were scum it would be apparently obvious but he's exhibited behavior I would say aligns with is scum game that I have seen in the past. I don't think he would be pinned down easily though so I want to hear more from him as well so I can get a better idea.

After the run around between you two at EOD I wouldn't mind some resolution there as well.

I haven't had time to fu back through. I had Nyn, Verb and Tina as town. Still feeling that way. Not sure what to make of the AJ/Verb inaction so a little less sure on AJ.

Everyone else is an unknown. Nyn said she wasn't sure of me not sure who else she went after.

I'd have to look back through to see how I feel about everyone I haven't listed yet. I'll be gone most of tomorrow. Might be able to jump on shortly during the day but not likely. I'll be at the Renaissance festival. I'll be able to get online tomorrow night but not enough to go though everyone. I'll be back home Sunday night and able to go back then.

Basically tomorrow night I'll catch up and reply to what has happened since this post. Goodnight everyone!
