You are peering forward into a dreary pattern of fog and mud. The makings of a wood trail are at your feet, and you takes an uneasy step onto the first plank.

 

It creaks sharply, but it holds. A sigh of relief escapes your lips.

 

"Why would anyone have come here?" you asks yourself aloud; but there is only one reason you can think of.
 

Is there a better place to hide?

 

Maybe a third of the way through the short trail you lose that feeling that something lingers behind you. The feeling that has set you at unease since you woke up in that infirmary tent. You start calling out for your friends, hoping maybe they came into the misty trail to hide from that feeling.

 

"Patty! Brad!"

 

Something rustles in some trees near a long patch of mud.

 

The rustling gets louder, and something emerges.

 

Sigh. It's just another one of the stupid costumed performers that linger around the park for quick scares. You've seen several hanging out off the main roads, an you remember quickly you are on what has been advertised as a "scare trail" - certainly some other surprises lay in wait, but you aren't exactly feeling up for some old-fashioned messing around. In fact, you are ready to give this man a piece of your mind.

 

As you approach the mud's edge, you get a better glance at the costume. Some sort of swamp creature; green skin - probably cloth and rubber - dangling from his arms and legs, clawed gloves, webbed flippers, a couple of black strands hanging down from his bare, green scalp over a scaly mask.

 

The paint job was pretty good, you admit to yourself nervously. He legitimately looked scaly. And the flippers? They seemed pretty hard to walk in, but the man was graceful in motion, wandering around three trims of bush right by the edge of the mud.

 

"Hey! I'm looking for some of my friends. Have you seen anyone come through here recently?" You ask.

 

The man stares back and hisses violently.

 

"Very funny. Come on." You have had about enough of this man. You are now less than a yard or two away from him, you are in no mood to play around. You make a quick grab for the man's mask to yank it off.

 

Except... it doesn't come off. You feel the hard scale of the man - no, not a man - of the creature's face at once, and all you ended up grabbing a hold of was some sort of slimy substance dripping from its pores.

 

What the hell.

 

"Get out of there!" a female voice screams. The creature extends its arms at your chest and you barely fumble backwards in time to escape it's reach. Suddenly, something shattered on the skin of the creature; a glass vial had been chucked at it. It screams violently.

And then it begins to dissolve. Piece by piece the creature comes apart and dribbles back into the bog that had been it's home. Patty stands near you, her young face aged and caked with dirt, hair dirty and wrangled. But alive.

"I've been looking everywhere for you. We need to get out of here!"

"Patty! Where is Brad? What did you do? What was that thing?"

"I can't explain; I found some stuff in the equipment tent; these vials can... kill... those things. I think. At least for a little."

 

She has two vials intact on her belt. She grabs one and hands it to you.

 

"I got separated from Brad not long after we got into the park. I can't find him."

 

"Well, let's get looking. We aren't leaving without him," you tell her factually.

 

She nods.

 

Nolder has left the game.

You have re-united with Patty, but have not found Brad.

Your fate is in your hands.

 

It is now Night 2. You have until 9:00 PM E/ST on 2/23 to make your decisions.

To be honest for some reason I was thinking you started Nol'a train. Then I wondered why you would start his train when you had a stronger scum lean. I was distracted and should have checked first. I realize this looks bad for me but wanted to say what happened.

@sili - I have you in the red because of your interaction with dice D1. I dislike the linkage that you had between yourself and him. Then there's the day one convo that you started that was mainly big game hunting i dislike that greatly. you're no vote on dice close to the deadline. And your back and forth today with nol reeks.

2. big game hunting may be -ev, but it is not inherently related to one's wolf equity.

Last night I was debating with myself over who was the third wolf and I ultimately picked Hallia and I think I was wrong and that was probably a bad choice.

tina was strong today imo.  mostly i had her in the null to scum for the clearing sili stuff,  she's since given a strong townie game imo and there are people, like yourself, who have more reasons for pressure than that.   shes not as lawkclear as Verb or AJ, but she's in the "not going to vote for" pile from me at this point.

 

Leelou and Thane next imo.

 

i've been good with pressure on these two from D1, i say we get us some competing wagons D3, see what pressure brings *nods*  Thane over Leelou atm, because Thane has been doing the constant "i'm here but need to catch up" content.

 

i'm still not feeling good about Kay though, especially with her having a go at me about my vote with Nol.  felt like trying to use his flip to set up a lynch attempt on a townie to try and salvage losing a scum-mate.  and given how hard Nol was going at Sili, Kay's beginning sidelining herself with Sili and pushing his WIFOMy convo feels even more off.

I can't really see it being anyone else unless it's someone like Verb or Crusher, but his reads post was so ridiculously on point with how I was seeing Nolder's game develop that I almost can't get past it.

 

Leelou with a red flip really implicates Thane, I think, with how she's handled him. I also think if she's scum that'll effectively knock Hallia, Red and Kaylee all off the list if not already for some of them.

Atm I think Leelou and Nolder are more closely linked because of their mutual town reads of each other with little interaction or explanation. They were just kinda there and never questioned or mentioned by one another throughout the thread progression. Big red flag imo.

 

Leelou flips scum and then I think that'll point right to Thane.

 

But lynched scum is lynched scum, after all, so I don't really care what order we go in.

 

I just ask that you guys stay focused and not get spun off into little side arguments since I'm most likely dead come D3.

Crusher gave some reads but that was D1. I'd like to hear what he thinks now. Null read for me.

 

Thane is Null to scum. Not a lot of content and had to be pushed for reads. I also can see the point AJ was making about a possible teammate of Nol's.

i like to fight, but only when theres a point to it.  fighting with you, since your too wolfy to be a wolf, is pointless and will do nothing but distract the town (which is what Nol was trying to do)
