YOU CHOOSE TO HEAD TOWARD THE FARMHOUSE AND PETTING ZOO.

---

dicetosser1 tried his best to clear his head before heading down the long path leading the Farmhouse. He'd must have walked half a mile; he'd been trailing on an abandoned-looking road, long past the attractions and sparse staff of the first leg of his journey.

One thing he hadn't noticed: any other... guests of the Carnival. Certainly not Patty and Brad, but the only other living beings in the Carnival were the men in suits and barkers that thinly lined the tents and displays.

It had certainly been an unsettling couple of minutes.

RIIIIIIIIING~

A loud bell had sounded from a nearby clearing. dicetosser1 nearly jumped out of his skin; he shook his head and tried to retain his composure. He peered over his shoulder - still no one around. He let the mild embarrassment pass and saw the Farmhouse ahead. The bell had been very loud - maybe Patty and Brad would head this way. This might have been the smartest place to go, after all.

The unsettling dead air didn't move as he stepped forward, however. The Farmhouse - in it's rotting, off-orange glory - was a sore thumb in an already bleak environment. The grass was yellow and dead, and there were no animals in sight. Some petting zoo. A stable loomed in the back of the Farmhouse, and it wasn't long until dicetosser1 was walking along the edge of a thin pen fence. He stopped and looked deep across the abandoned ranch.

A hard slapped strongly across his shoulder.

dicetosser1 jumped again, turning around only to see a taller man, in his nicest black suit, looking down at him from stern, hazel eyes. Sharp eyes, but also... dead eyes.

"Not the most impressive display, is this? Unimpressed with our farmhouse?" said corycurren, with a displeased tone of voice.

"I don't mean to offend," dicetosser1 stammered out, "I'm just looking for my friends."

"Well, how do you know what you are looking for if you're barely seeing, friend?" the man replied, suddenly sounding wistful and cheery. His strong handed guided dicetosser1 through the gate in the fence, and suddenly the world began to change. He could smell fresh grain, fresh cut grass, the smell of furs and hay. But when he opened his eyes, all he could see was the wasteland at his feet.

"You're confused, aren't you? Well, this farm has a secret."

"A secret?" questioned dicetosser1.

"Yes, a secret. You see, the animals here are shy... You have to coax them out; they aren't just there for any passerby to gawk out. They're more mature beings then that."

dicetosser1 only felt more confused.

"Do you want to see them?" corycurren asked, "because there is something you have to do first."

"What do I have to do?"

corycurren cleared his throat. "Repeat after me: "Oopah Lupah Dummie Dupah."

dicetosser1 had a look of skepticism, but corycurren seemed serious. He opened his mouth to form a sharp "What the hell?", but a look in corycurren's eyes gave him the strange feeling questioning him would be a mistake.

Well, whatever. It'd already been a weird enough day.

"Oopah Lupah Dummie Dupah."

Nothing happened. dicetosser1 scoffed at the taller gentleman. But, then...

Suddenly, the world was spinning! But he didn't feel the usual bit of nausea, no, he felt freer. Like a burden was being taken off his shoulders. He felt stronger; his usual back pain was gone, but it was more than that. He felt like his arms had outstretched past their usual limitations. His head and his heart felt... closer. Life was manageable. He felt like his feet had touched ground after years of being thrown through the sky.

And the he heard it! The moos, the clucks, the rooster wailing - he opened his eyes. The world exploded in fervent color. The grass was a beautiful green, he was sitting among at least a dozen chickens, he heard the whinnies of horses in the stables and goats chewing and all the sounds he had felt but not heard back in the broken-down Farmhouse that had suddenly been replaced by something gorgeous and real.

This is amazing. All because I said a few words.

He wanted to thank the tall man who had brought him here. Wait, why was he sitting down? He didn't remember sitting down. He looked up, but only saw the tailored edges of corycurren's suit. He tried to look higher - straining his neck, lowering his stubby right wing - and he could barely make out the man's face. But he saw a smile.

Wait, stubby right wing? What the hell?

The man was now dropping chickenfeed to the chickens around him, spreading it in a happy circle. dicetosser1's gullet moaned and he started pecking for the loose seeds. He forgot how hungry he'd been.

There was some anger at his new situation, sure, but it didn't last long. His memory wasn't what it used to be. In fact, by the end of the meal, he was in a right jolly mood. Things weren't so bad, were they?

He tried to thank the tall man in his dark suit. He opened his mouth and attempted to vocalize his gratitude.

"BUC-KUK!"

dicetosser1 seems to have run out of... cluck.

You did not escape. Try again? zPXU69O.gif

It is now Night 1. You have until 9:00 PM E/ST on 2/19 to make your decisions.

I think Sili is right that it doesn't really matter.

I'd feel better if he told us who he'd want to lynch before Dice's flip though.

Probably dice. My initial read was predicated on him keepin up the content.

???

I missed that, sorry. My fault.

Kinda bummed after that.

Just got home with a full belly of Mexican food... Siesta is nearing but I'm gonna read thru from where I had to leave for work to here.

Sili is there a reason you're not voting? Are you planning on voting Dice? Who would you prefer was lynched today?

Verbal, more or less the same questions although I'd like to add if you knew you weren't going to be around at deadline why didn't you vote earlier?

And Dice if you stop by before lynch, any last thoughts?

I wouldn't mind hearing answers to these questions even if it's after the fact.

So, after reading, i wonder: Kaylee and Leelou, i didn't see (or don't recall any post of) you stating why you vote dice...

care to clarify? Just putting out votes doesn't do it.

I have a workmeeting soon about the future of my section, so yeah, i won't be on untill after the meeting is done (and depending on that, i'll be in a foul mood or not)

Nolder - I´m not sure if we are playing the same game. Now that he showed up he focused on Sili´s old posts from the beginning of day 1. There are so much more to comment on. I also don´t like the comment about me earlier.

I take this back since Nolder was apparently catching up post by post. But...

Nolder are you doing that thing as scum when you post a bunch in a row to bog down the thread?

Cuz it kinda feels that way to me with you being a lead wagon going into DL

Just what I felt as well.

I WASNT GONE!!

I was here ALL NIGHT! I only slept 8 hours and hopped into this thread RIGHT WHEN I WOKE UP!

ARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH

I didn´t mean anything about that. I know that you live in another time zone and are awake during the night. What I meant was that it felt weird that you focused on Sili´s early posts when there was so much more to comment on. Now you actually did that later. But, I´m worried that you are doing what AJ is saying, trying to look town by over posting.

yes, but at this time, i can't really go back and check. Could you just tell me why you voted?

So you missed all that?

Kaylee - Answered Sili right off the bat. Seems to be coming up with town reads, but not really much for scum reads. Meh, I'll see how I feel after she catches up.

this still doesn't discount Kay's vote reason.  "Secondly in your original thoughts you had Tina, Dice and Crusher were your top candidates. Roughly 2 hours later your reads list had Tina as null to town saying she wasn't scummy."

do you agree with this reason, thats based off an initial joke post list?

Yes, but she wasn't the only one to vote based off your joke. I believe Dice did as well. He's since removed that vote but really hasn't added much to the game.

I'm liking your responses so far and could vote for Kaylee, I've been meh on her all game. She seems really wishy washy.

Lee

-as scum

Why?

You seem opportunistic with red, now kaylee. I didn't like that progression. And your tone is off. You got very defensive with verb. I'm looking for posts of yours that remind me of last game, but I'm not finding them yet.

It's weird.

I don't recall voting Kaylee, I haven't liked her posts so far and am willing to vote her. She is being wishy washy.

Way you said that to red irked me.

It seemed to come out of the blue, and it was phrased like I'm okay with lynching this villager here, if you are too.

That's how I took it. Not as genuine scum hunting, but an agendaee nudge.

If you look at my reads list from earlier, I have a meh feeling towards Kaylee. That is before Red even moved her down in her reads list. So pray tell, how is that me "being okay with lynching a villager here, if you are too."? To me, that is more me saying yeah, I have meh feelings towards her posts and she's being wishy washy so I can vote her.

How does red's read list have anything to do with yours?

And how do meh feelings and popular discent equate to lynching someone?

Plus why would you say that and not vote her?

You were trying to say I was agreeing with Red after the fact, which no, I wasn't. I've been there with Kaylee.

Because she's been back tracking and moving when she gets questions on any of her votes, no real conviction.

I will vote when I'm ready to vote.

I'd be willing to vote for Dice for being active yet not saying much. Less sure of Nol for his unclear reads list and since disappearing, willing to vote here as well. Still unsure on Lee and Verb, being a strong town read of mine, not trusting her makes me willing to vote here.
