I'm leaning towards Kaylee or Pral right now. Slightly uncomfortable with Tina. Lily actually voted early on D1? Hmm. Thane needs to say something. Dice seems like a doggie with his favorite squeak toy. Feeling okay with Nol. Reserving judgment on Nyn until the Ewok shows up. Sili is over in the town pile, but believe me I'm watching all of your reactions. 

I think it would be more useful to get your unfiltered opinion actually.

Tried the computer again and it's acting up. Basically it's Sili's fake claim then Nol following it. When I post the rules talking about N0 they both back off. Nol quotes Sili saying he was online and refreshing so a speed lynch would not have happened on Leelou.

 

Nol: Why follow Sili on that? Did you think he was telling the truth?

 

As far as Sili fake claiming, as has been pointed out, he's done that as town before. I'm not sure where I stand on him atm.

 

What I don't get is why Nol would follow Sili when he made no mention of Lee to this point. Then he follows Sili's reasons for jumping off. OK, maybe legit there, maybe. Then he quotes and says he was also online refreshing. Just seems opportunistic to me. (Like a scum jumping onto a possible easy lynch).

Nope. The rules clearly started there would be no N0 actions.

I knew he was lying but I wanted to see how Leelou would react under the pressure.

 

I don't know why you'd be worried about scum jumping at an opportunistic lynch.

Let's follow that logic to it's conclusion. So Leelou is lynched and flips town.

Where does that leave ScumSili or ScumNolder?

Do you think scum would just crater on a random townie on D1?

 

I mean if we DID have N0 options I could at least understand the argument that maybe we have a role cop or something and we're trying to take out a PR but we know that isn't the case so...it just doesn't make much sense. To me at least. It would put scum in a bad position not a good one to get someone speed lynched on D1.

I don't really get what you don't understand. Sili was trying to gauge Lee's reaction by telling her that he got a guilty on her. Nolder got the gist of it and followed up by confirming that Sili indeed visited Lee, thereby putting her on the spot and leaving little to no wiggle room. That's the feel I get from the entire thing. 

 

If Nolder is scum jumping onto a possible easy lynch, as you claim, then why wouldn't he just vote her? He didn't need to apply more pressure by fake claiming too. Not to mention that the fact that there are no NAs on N0 is mod confirmed... so this push wouldn't have made it far even if it was scum motivated. To me it seems like an obvious reaction test.

 

Adding to this, it's also very unlikely that there would be a Tracker and Cop in a Basic game this size. 

My claim was clearly BS on top of Sili's BS cop claim.

This is something DM needs to learn. Would really change the dynamic of the game here.

 

 

Disagree.  Seer cover is useful on other sites that are much more active and serious about mafia - they take the time to pore over threads (current and past) to analyze.  We don't do that here, so just adding seer cover will not work unless the whole forum starts playing hyperactive and serious.  I happen to like how we're currently playing on DM, and I would not want to change that.

 

 

 

 

 

Villagery posts by verb. Its a good sign when someone is helpful like that with that last line: to hunt scum. It shows the right frame of reference.

 

 

My take-away is I have 5-6 villagers including myself, so I think today's lynch should be between Verb, Lily, Thane, and Dice.

 

To recap, Tina was pure in her opening posts. Having been w/w with her I know she should be too self-conscious to make that content.

 

That said, I don't really know Pral's allignment, because I think his comment too easily comes from a wolf to discount the possibility.

Dice

 

As our lynches.

Not really - he told me to read the thread.  So I did.  And I still don't see where he switched.  It isn't a big deal as I'm not worried about it, but I try to scumhunt via pointing out inconsistencies when I see them early on.  This just happened to have my name attached to it.  Again, to be clear I have a town read on Sili right now, which makes it more important for me to understand where his switch is coming from.

Yeah, in between the arguments between Dice and Sili, I didn't like how she starts appearing whether to vote Sili or not and then jumping on him quite quickly.

 

On the whole thing, I think both Sili and Dice are town here. Sili is much more focused - i have been wrong on him before - but his responses so far in this thread makes me think he is town. So is it with Dice 

 

Anyway, back to Lily

 

 

I don't know Sili at all, and what I'm most trying to do is figure out if he is scummy or just different. Dice is echoing what I'm thinking and I'm not liking Sili's reactions.

 

 

This is where she starts appearing in the Dice-Sili argument. Sili already has 2 votes at this point and seems to be the focus of attention. Knowing Lily, I have seen many times where she jumps on the easier candidate and this seems to be one of those occasions.

MODHAT:  the punishment is fine.  If you dropped an f-bomb in a post, that by itself is enough for action to be taken.  But instead of being removed from the game (or forum), Red is deciding to give you a PR instead, which allows you to still play (albeit in an annoying manner for you, lol).  The proper response should be "ok, my bad - I'll try to be more careful" instead of complaining that it isn't just.......that just sounds childish.  Protip:  take the PR with a smile and a nod, and it'll go a long way towards people being more understanding.
