I'm around, I'm mostly just watching the overnight shenanigans. Feeling significantly better about Yates, but that's probably stupid.

I really hope you die tonight, cory. I think you're a villager but that's based on effort and volume, not quality of reads, which is unimpressive so far (coming after me when you can't even read me is pretty wat).

my reads are probably far better than yours if you're a villager

just saying

I know I can't impress you because I don't LAWYER UP

just a part of my skill tree i decided wasn't going to be useful

decided to pump points into YOLO SWAG instead

well my strong mafia reads were sili and pral, for all I know I'm either 1 for 2 or 0 for 2

yours appeared to be, at end of day, me and pral, so you're CONFIRMED 0 for 2

WOAT, etc.

also you're emo over here, what's up with that, some of it isn't even CRUNKING

Pral wasn't a wolfread of mine, was just something I sort of lazily conceded on for the sake of GROUP HARMONY, so that's my WOAT moment

I actually think you're a wolf now fwiw

Not surprised you want me dead thumbs.gif

I mean I could say "I don't read you very well but gut instinct says you're a wolf so I'm trusting that cause it's usually pretty decent"

or I could say "I HAVE A STRONG TONEREAD"

it's all the same variance and button pushing

Let's talk about how to read dice. I've played ~14 games with him and in the course of those games read several of his older wolf games. This ish has worked for me quite reliably. Maybe it'll help you.

Content-wise, dice's reads are more complex as a villager. He comes up with wolf reads backed by original reasoning that call attention to him. As a wolf, he posts reads, but they're pretty basic stuff and he tends to miss or ignore significant things. On occasion he has trouble judging how confident he should be in his reads.

Tonally, dice tends to sound looser as a villager. There's an emotional component to his reactions that is often missing as a wolf. He comes across as more committed to his reads. When he's wolfing, he may try posting a bit of fluff here and there, usually early in a game, but mostly he comes across as grimly determined to fulfill his role.

He has a volume tell. He's aware of it and might conceivably try to address it in the short term when he's wolfing, but still, it's there. This would already be his highest posting wolf game of all time.

We're left with a situation in which he's either playing his best wolf game ever, by some distance, or he's a villager. Obviously someone who has played 85 long games is more likely to be a villager than to have finally learned how to post like his villager self on his 14th try as a wolf.

Here's a summary in gif form for people who dislike words:

When dice is a villager, he posts like this:

When dice is a wolf, he posts like this:

THE TOM HAS HIS HANDS IN MANY SINISTER SOUPS

Sinister doesnt sound good man. Infact sinister sounds like the exact opposite of something I want.

Dr. Louise Colubra answered the phone on the second ring, and a chill swept through her at the sound of her friend's voice.

"Louise, it's Kate.  Can you drop by tonight?  I've got some new results on my mitochondria and farandolae studies, and -- " Louise could hear the break in Kate Murry's voice as she continued, " -- and Charles is worse."

Dr. Kate Murry was a brilliant microbiologist, and a dear friend.  Her studies had recently suggested that within the microscopic mitochondria, even smaller particles existed that affected the health of the mitochondrion, and ultimately, the human host.  Unfortunately, on the heels of her discovery, her youngest son had begun to show signs of illness that may be related to his mitochondria.  Louise considered all of the Murry children as extended family, and Charles Wallace was exceptional.  She would move heaven and earth if necessary to help take care of the boy.

"Of course, Kate.  I'll leave right away."

The moment she hung up the phone, the attack began.  Her limbs became heavy, her mind fogged, and a crushing weight settled on her like a mantle.  She slid to the floor, struggling to breathe, struggling to think.

There was pain -- oh, God, there was pain -- and despair drowned her.  The stench of spoiled cabbage filled her nostrils, and her vision went dark.

CorMish - Dr. Louise Colubra, Vanilla Town - has been X'd.
