SILI - unless Survivor is a mod-given fake claim it is typically EXTREMELY -EV for a player to claim it early, especially considering AJ was under a very light amount of pressure. It's even more -EV here because townies here focus on "WIFOM" a lot - I modded a game like last month were TGlems was a Town Miller and he claimed it Day 1 (under no pressure, which is the right play as miller afaict) and was tunnelled by several villagers for it and became a big distraction and threw him under the limelight.

IE - DM is so paranoid that the "smart scum claim" is the first thing some players look for to the point where it's so post-meta that actual scum probably wouldn't even try doing it. Look at Tommy and the BP and people's reactions to that, etc.

 

I doubt AJ is the type of player to hide behind a role as scum, either. He's perfectly capable of seeming villagery on his own accord.

I said earlier I thought the mechanically correct approach was to lynch a high priority target and nk arsis.

You know what rustles me the most about DM?

 

Sometimes the spaces between my sentences disappear

 

And they're right on top of eachother and it's SO NOT PRETTY

 

But that doesn't seem to happen to you,

 

Because not even the evil soul of text formatting would mess with your magic

Claiming in the situation I did is both applicable to my wincon of surviving and also helpful for the village. I was under light suspicion but several players noticed that I was off my usual villager game. Instead of continuing the charade, I have put myself in the open. Yes there is wolf motivation for this because I have stricken my name from the lunch menu this phase but in the long term that doesn't matter much. It is helpful for the village folk because now they can focus on killing players who are actually harmful to their wincon.
