Everything in Australia Will Kill You

Yup.

The little axe from the truck came in the tent that night.

Although the scariest thing was coming across a clearing that was full of dead things and bloody patches ...

I might have had a panic freeze and had to be half carried through it.

Don't even mention the leech attack.

Or the giant spiders.

Or expecting to see Bruce the Friendly Shark around every corner of the reef.

But it was a brilliant holiday and I'd love to go back one day.

We told our intrepid stories to a guy who owned a cafe in the rainforest. He was not impressed.

'That's Australia, mate'

He said.

One of my Australian friends sent me this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4FqwQkWQo4 and insists it is completely accurate.

And another recently posted on facebook a picture of the water just off the starboard side of his ship: and the blue is practically white with jellyfish. It would be awful if someone went overboard.

Recently, I think Australia is marketed as one of the scariest places on earth. Everything is trying to kill the people. o.o
