I just have a weird feeling about this. Once Silli said Des visited Wombat on N1.... I expected Des to show guns abalzing, raging, thunderdoming with him and taking him out.

 

But he drops by.... is like all.... yeah, he's lying.... but he could be jester so we might want to back off. I mean, he did vote him (I think he was the third one to)... but he did keep following up with posts of hesitating. I kinda expected him to be leading this lynch. Not to say that there's anything wrong in theorizing.... but I don't know... when someone is basically labeling Des as scum by a NA.... I would expect TownDes to smite him down.

 

Does anyone agree or am I just expecting him to react this way because I've come to kinda expect the worst from him? lol

Town!Des is much more reasonable than you give me credit for. I always look at an a situation from multiple angles and try using both logic and intuition to see which scenario is most likely

 

Thing is I posture a lot to produce reactions and to help push lynched through on people that would normally be able to weasel out of it. Peeps don't remember when it works out well, they remember when it blows up in my face.

Inara didn't have to feign her confusion.  Betraying Mal was the furthest thing from her mind, and she didn't understand the first thing about what Zoe meant.

 

"The signals.  They came from your shuttle this morning, Inara.  You have to be the traitor."

 

"My shuttle?" Inara blinked.  "I haven't been in my shuttle since yesterday.  If there were signals, they weren't mine."

 

Zoe shook her head.  "It's no use denying it.  We all know it was you."

 

Inara could almost feel the unreasoning fury, and knew it was no use arguing her innocence.

 

In a heartbeat, she turned and ran toward the shuttle.   She never made it.
