Here, not much else I can do. We know where scum is, I think we have this one in the bag even if I get lynched.

@Dice - you think she posts this as scum? With only a few hours left? I don't....

Posted

Hallia is town guys.

Where has this been the past 4 hours?

Why have you not been trying to convince us of this?

And what makes you so certain?  What specifically makes you think she's town apart from a "do you think scum would do this" argument?

I like to see how people push and get antsy as deadline gets closer. You, sir, are pushing in any direction that you think will gain traction.

Posted

I've pushed at you and voted Hallia.

So tell me how I'm pushing "in any direction?"

This implies I'm pushing in two or more directions, and if you agree with the former then I agree and shrug, but if you say the latter then you need to provide proof and tie it to an argument.

You also say I'm pushing in any direction that "I think will gain traction."

So my vote on you gained traction, huh?

Where was I in the list of people voting Hally?  4th?  Sounds like she already had traction.

I don't like your post because it doesn't really say anything other than try to appeal to the reader's emotion, not their logic, and it offers nothing of value otherwise.  If you're going to say that then I want examples.  You're implying that I'm getting pushing and getting antsy because why?  Because that's what you look for?  Oh, ok, that makes no sense.

So what you're saying is that you waited until I voted and put Hallia at L-1 to try to convince us that Hallia is town by saying…."Hallia is town" and then quote my vote and say "This guy knows it."

Well my hat's off to you for that convincing piece of evidence.

You should have at least said your piece before L-1 and offered some evidence.  You'd still be able to see how people react closer to the deadline and you might have saved us a mislynch.

This thing between Verb and Krak is really weirding me out.

Like, was I on the right track from the getgo?

And if so how did I, and the rest of us, end up so far off base between Hallia and Yates?

These are questions I want answered.

It was very rare for Death to be surprised, but he was. The timer on his desk was almost out of sand. He'd been fooled before, only to see the sand shifted sideways into a separate dimension then loop, somehow, back to the start.

ALBERT, I'LL NEED MY SCYTHE SHARPENED

Rincewind was still upset over the death of his friend. The earlier people had been frightened off, bit somehow he'd found himself in Sweetheart Lane. There was a small chance that he could make it out alive, it was possible a dragon would appear and take out the skulking people in the alley. It had happened before, once.

But Rincewind wasn't that lucky, the Lady who had once slowed time itself to help him escape, had forsaken him. It really wasn't fair, how many times did he have to save the world before he caught a break.

He did try to run.

Rincewind stood beside his body, it was a disconcerting experience

"So you showed?"

I AM ALWAYS HERE

"Tell me. Will there be potatoes"

Hallia, Rincewind the Wizzard, Town has been lynched

It is now Night

I'm more suspicious of Verbal again. For me it's him or Yates tomorrow. Nolder is a "maybe".

For real? What makes you suspicious? That I'm saying Krak is the other scum?

Sorry Hallia, I just couldn't see your actions as town.

Verb and Barm I'd like to know why neither of you voted at all.

Because I thought Hallia was town. I stated who I think is the scum - you guys think I'm tinfoiling.

Apparently you guys also think hyperactive leader Krak who questions everything but never appears to care which direction the town goes in is somehow townish.

If that seems annoyed, it is. You're giving me crap for outlining a plausible case for Krak to be the other scum. It is EXACTLY how I would play it.

I have Yates as town - he was green on my last list.

That is one piece. I can't dig up my whole rationale on the phone - I'll do it tomorrow at work....but it is in the thread.

Full Stop.

Final Vote Count :

Krak (3): Sexy LouNy , Wolfish, Hallia

Nolder (2): Yates, Dice

Sexy LouNy (5): Barm, Tina, Krak, Cory, Verb

Hallia (1) : Nolder

With 11 alive it takes 6 to lynch

Sexy LouNy has been lynched

Flip incoming

Sexy LouNy (5): Barm, Tina, Krak, Cory, Verb

That is the final lynch D1.  I've been thinking about this, and did some re-reading.  In my opinion, with a 2-man scum team, they are almost FORCED to bus and not be seen on another train.  We're looking in the wrong direction, imo.

If I was scum here, I would absolutely be on this train.  I would expect scum to be on each other's train.  I know Cory was thinking otherwise - but I think he is wrong on that.  I know how Leelou plays - I think she's 100% be on the other scum's train to throw off the scent of any "wagonomics" being done.  Therefore, I'm fairly certain the other scum is on this train.

Via my own personal POE, I remove myself, the dead townie in Cory, and one of my blue reads in Barm.  That leaves Tina & Krak.

LouNy started the train on Krak - there was nothing with Tina.  No way will scum go for total distancing here by ignoring.

Krak should be the lynch today.

[v]Krak[/v]

Are you messing around, Verb? You really think scum buses in this situation? This is completely the opposite of what I think. Also, I promise you I won't be lynching Krak today.

Nope, I'm serious.  If it were me, I'd be burying my scum vote on my partner, and vice versa - especially if we both were lynch candidates.

And I'm still harping on Krak for his early (read:scummy) D1.  He asked a ton of random questions, and did zero follow-up.  Zero.  A few nice posts in the middle of 'blah' is not enough.

Verb, don't you think crossing is too obvious though?

Following your train of thought I feel like myself and Yates would be much more likely candidates.

Our votes were wasted and give no useful information.

Krak and Lee/Nyn crossing leaves a bit of a trail for someone, that someone being you, to pick up on.

It's not a bad idea but I'm not really feeling it.

I think we should leave the more wild theories and tinfoiling to D3+.

Exactly why I think they did it.  Yates should remember our scum game where we hard-defended our whole team and easily won.  The idea is not that far-fetched.

You guys are not candidates for the exact reason you stated - who would make themselves that obvious of a target as scum while that EOD scenario was unwinding yesterday?  Nobody.

Think about it.  Obvious mistakes are obvious, and scum aren't making them here.  There are no noobs in this game - this is chock full of experienced players.  I'm not really tinfoiling much on this - it is a legit strategy that I would have employed myself in this situation.

I really think we can end the game on D2.

I think we're both falling into the "no scum would do that" trap and you're edging into too townie territory as well.

You're trying to outwit the mafia for something they might not have even done.

We should take a step back and review the facts.

Dude, think about it.  You're scum.  Would you leave your vote on a usleless train EOD to be obviously scrutinized?  Their vote didn't hop to Yates when that train was looking weird and in contention, did it?  They just buried it.  Seems reasonable that they were trying to hide any connection to their partner.

It took up until page 12 for LouNy and Yates to interact. As far as I can see, everyone else had have some interaction with LouNy by that point. Interesting.

I do not think mafia risk avoiding each other.  This is a townsign for Yates, imo.

That it?
