1. Halligeddon [Hallia / csarmi] - I'm going to say I have a slight scum read on Csarmi/Hallia. I don't like a few of Csarmi's posts and I don't know what she sees that similar to FF mafia at the moment either.

2. Yates - Softclaimed apparently these are the only posts that I could see him soft claiming, etc in before Page 11.

Alright so disregarding the joke bit Chobani Yogurt is possible as a role considering it's Cory and I'm fairly sure he's mentioned it before.

Alright so this is a bit odd but I'm starting to think that Yates is soft claiming an alcoholic beverage. Cory drinks for a fact so it's very possible.

3. TomStress [Tommyrod / Songstress] - Currently leaning Town on Tom, nothing scummy to be seen from his so far in my opinion.

4. Andrej - Leaning more likely town than scum on AJ, he's not playing like Lylo in DBZ or how he played that game at all really.

5. Arsis - Leaning null on Arsis a lot of his posts feel lacking in substance and as if they're just there. 

6. SickPuppets - Town

7. Krakalakachkn - Haven't seen any posts by him. Null.

8. manbat - Monstr, I'll be able to tell if he's town for sure if not whenever the first scum flips. 

9. Body Burner nervositee - Null, I've seen one post by him

10. Darthe - Same for Darthe, little to nothing to work with

11. Torrey_Smith's_Brother - He's dissapeared from the thread after being pushed by TG. I'd say that makes Swag more likely town than scum. Scum Swag's more likely to be quite a bit more active. 

12. TI [Turin Turambar / Ithillian] - Slight scum lean. A lot of their posts I haven't liked or felt one hundred percent about.

13. Pralaya - Haven't seen anything by, currently being pushed.

14. TheSlenderMan - Minor town lean at the moment, he's not being worthless and some of his posts are good. 

15. dicetosser1 - Null, I've seen two posts by him. 

16. GleMeri [TGlems / Meridian] - I don't believe Meridian has posted but TG I am currently null on

17. Despothera - Leaning town on Des this game, he's being quite a bit more casual than usual yet still trying. I think Scum!Despot would be a lot more likely to be cautious rather than laid back

Also I finally googled what Newport Menthols is (I'm Finnish, not American) and I have a better grasp now on what Yates might be here -- don't think it's an alcoholic drink.

I'm sleepy and irritable and Day 1's make me feel confused and useless, so I'm gonna stop overthinking and put what I've got out there.  

 

Starting at the top:

 

1. Halli/Csarmi - I know Hally's been sick, so I'm not sure how much to read into her relative absence - what I've seen of her I've liked the vibe.  Csarmi soft claiming is par for the course and neither of them has set off any alarm bells.  I'll need to see more from both of them once we have some hard info to make a firmer decision, but right now I'm leaning slightly toward town on them.

 

2. Yates - I have the utmost respect for him as scum seeing as how he fooled me for the win in our first game together. Hindsight is 20/20.   I'm a little uncomfortable with him so far this game - as of last night when I did the first batch of ISOs, he appeared to be doing a lot of prodding at things and dropping them - reaction tests that didn't get far, and looked a lot like he was egging on the arguments between TG, TurIthi, and Despo.  I made a note to myself to pull quotes to illustrate this later if necessary.  In any event from my read as of last night he didn't seem to be taking a firm stance on anything until he started pushing Tommy as mafia, but even that wasn't so firm and he backed off of that today. My note to Tommy on the QT about the Arsis coffee thing he latched onto kinda fast and it makes me wary - generally I get uncomfortable when other people take thoughts I put out there and run with them farther than I intended to (see Xthrax in the Buffy game, but that was quite another story).   I'm also quite wary of the soft claim, since there's nothing I can think of whatsoever that fits his hinting that makes sense to me as town.  I don't know that he'd be quite so cagey and unwilling to commit as mafia, and this has me confused.  However I don't recall seeing him like this as town, so blah.

 

4. AJ - As I told Csarmi last night, I was leaning town on him because i thought he was making some pretty good points and I agreed with a lot of what he'd said. 

 

5.  Arsis - Aside from the potential symp hint issue, which is probably worth all of nothing, I didn't like the progression from "scum is leading the pack" to "Tommy is scum because he's not leading the pack" to wanting to lynch lurkers.  Leaning scum.

 

6. SickPuppets - Never played mafia with him that I can recall, but meh. I didn't like his reaction to AJ's pressure, and I haven't been wowed by the catchup and reads list.  I'm absolutely positive Tommy will have a better read on him than I do, but I'd say leaning scum.

 

7. Krak - Needs more game content.  From what I understand he's also been sick, but he needs to get his rear end in here and contribute.

 

8. Manbat - Another one Tommy will be more useful than I am on reading.  As I stated last night, seems to be waffling and agreeing with people a lot, and I really disliked his qualifying of SickPuppets as "looking villagery in a vacuum".  

 

9. BodyBurner Vos - Looking forward to more solid contributions by Vos, as soon as he can manage it.  Or else

 

10. Darthe - His play is looking more like the Darthe I'm used to this game, and I appreciate his restraint in not chopping the hell out of people's posts and analyzing sentence fragments for a scum mindset.    I'm thinking probably town here.

 

11. TSB - 5 posts, zero game content, zero effort.  Do not like.  Will defer to Tommy's judgment about whether this means scum or town Swag, but if it was just my call, I'd say kill it with fire.

 

12. Turin/Ithi - Has been almost entirely focused on the TG miller claim and subsequent casing, except for addressing people who have defended TG or attacked TurIthi at any point.  Turin did express some suspicion of Arsis for tunneling on TSB and the coffee posts, and AJ for pushing without committing and sheeping TG on TurIthi, but continues to push the TG issue despite widespread lack of interest.  Ithi's only other contribution was to suggest she thought Tommy wouldn't vote them when he did as mafia.  I'm quite used to both of them latching onto an issue when they see their opinion as being correct.  If TG/Meri were to die and flip mafia, then I'd be 100% comfortable town reading TurIthi, but as it is I can't do it.  I thought Des made a great point about how Turin started out seeming to believe TG's claim and then switched to saying he'd doubted it all along after Ithi voted him - his explanation that he was lying low on his suspicions to see who would question his change in stance on the Miller issue between games is kinda meh.  I'd like to see them spend a good amount more time focusing on things completely unrelated to TG's claim and the subsequent "TG is nudging without voting" case.  

 

13. Pral - apparently only has 1 hour per day to read and post, and hasn't fully caught up yet, so we should probably expect him never to be fully caught up.    From the two posts we have, I am mixed.  Some of what he's saying I can see and agree with, and some of it is iffy to me.

 

14.  Slender - Another "Tommy is going to be much better at reading him" person.  I have liked quite a lot of his posts though, and am thinking probably town.

 

15. Dice - Need more from Dice to get a good read, but I think I'll have a better idea by D2 or 3.  Slight town lean as of now because he's not lurky (comparatively - for Dice - this man can win olympic medals in lurking as mafia) and seems to be putting good thought into his posts.

 

16.  TG/Meri - I think the claim is very, very plausible and either is true or they have a great fake claim and a lot of guts.  I don't think the point Turin and Ithi were making about him nudging them without voting is as strong as the believe it to be.  Meri hasn't had much to say yet and I'm looking forward to her observations.  Feeling pretty OK about them as of right now.

 

17.  Despo - Oh, Des.  I used to be so good at reading you.  Then I stupidly admitted what you did to tip me off, and the resulting meta change has me lost more often than not.  I'm wanting to read him as town here.  I'm torn between letting his case on TurIthi sway me and thinking it may be Town on Town violence and thinking "hey, sneaky Des cannot be trusted". 

 

Some of this is probably disjointed because my brain has entered shutdown mode.  I really wish I could post at work when my thought processes are more clear.  Or just didn't have to work, that would be even better.

Like whether you read the OP or not isn't relevant -- I still haven't read the OP to this game but I sure follow the Thread, and even if you went all Town!Tom legitimately right off the bat, you'd still try to read him as he was also interacting with others and you'd try to form a read on them fo sho.

Did I say I don't make good points as Town? That post wasn't about my ability. Tommy claimed I do X as Town. I asked him to show me when I did X to back that up. Pretty straightforward mafia play question.

 

Speaking of mafia play, it's also why I'm "pushing" on Tommy. When *I* see something off about a player, I ask them about it. Tommy looks different from his past games and I want to know why. I'm not going to ignore it because "it's Tommy."

 

My concern in this game is all the free passes people seem to be [or claim to be] handing out to Tommy for no apparent reason. There is literally zero reason, as far as I can see, to have Tommy any higher than a Town lean at best. You guys with your "lock clears" are smoking the wacky tobaccie if you think he is somehow playing outside of his scum range. That's how Cory skated to scum victory in the first game I played with these two. So yeah, I'm pretty aware of how destructive those "lock clears" can be when they are based on nothing and turn out to be wrong.

 

With all of that said, you'll notice I haven't actually moved my vote off Krak. Yet. To be frank, I'd rather not lynch Tommy on Day 1 because I respect his Town game if he's Town. But if I'm not satisfied with why his game is off or I start seeing more - for lack of a better word - oddness from his slot, I'll probably start a lynch push there.

 

If I have to take some flak for being contrarian? So be it. I'd just like to win.
