Hope.....a Human Delusion.

Amidst the dark ashes and flaming scrap metal of what once was a high security weapons depot just outside New York City, rises a shadowy figure.  Eyes blazing crimson and a metallic grin, covering his silver body with a blood stained cloak, the figure surveys the destruction that he and his minions had caused. 

 

"Stark," hisses the crimson cowled fiend, "you were wrong, Stark.  You were wrong to put your weapons away.   You created the greatest weapon the human race has ever seen.  You created me."  The metallic fiend looked up at the smokey sky.  "The Age of Humans has passed.  It is now time for a NEW WORLD ORDER.  It is the age of the superior race.  IT IS THE AGE OF ULTRON!"

Welcome to Avengers - Age of Ultron MAFIA!!!

 

I am very excited to have the opportunity to run this game, and I owe a lot of people some big solids for this.  Thanks to everyone who allowed me to skip ahead in the queue and a huge solid to Verbal for is official approval.  Also, I am so stoked at the caliber of players who are signed up in this game.  Even if this was just a straight mafia classic game, it would be epic.

 

.....but in this game, EVERYONE has a role to play!

 

Ok, first some guidelines....

 

1)  Editing - NO EDITING POSTS without my permission!  Part of mafia is to think before you post and if you slip, you shouldn't be allowed to hide it.  Once you put it out there, it's out there.   I am totally cool making an exception if its a typo, grammar issue, or daggon auto-correct messing with you.  Just get my juju of approval first. 

2)  Night Actions - I will only accept night actions sent to me via PM.  If you miss the deadline, your night action is nulled for that night.  Once I receive a night action from you for the night, it's official.  No take-backs or erasies. 

3)  Lynches - This is a hammer game which means that a majority lynch must be met by deadline or a random player will be lynched instead.  Once a lynch has been hammered, the day will end immediately and no unvotes or after votes will count.  You may continue to post until I arrive to post the end of the Day phase. 

4)  Death - It comes for us all, some sooner than others.  When you die in this game, you get the customary "BAH!" post that cannot contain any spoiler or game related information in it.  Just be cool, post something funny and carry your badonkadonk over to the dead thread.  If you have access to a game related quick topic, you will no longer be allowed to post in that QT for the rest of the game. 

5) Cheating & Being a Douche - Be cool, don't ruin the game for others.  Game related trolling is one thing but don't make it personal, don't cheat, don't talk about the game to anyone outside the game and no deadites spoiling the game for the rest of us.  And no SUICIDES!

6) Talking about the game to other players - During the DAWN phase, you may communicate with other players about the game via PM or other means; however, this will no longer be authorized at the start of Day 1, which is 20:00hrs EST on Sunday, August 3rd. 

7)  MOD IS ALL POWERFUL - I reserve the right to change, add, delete, or just change my mynd about any of the above rules.  Don't worry, I consider myself to be very fair and objective.  There WILL be things that occur that I haven't thought of, I'm sure.  Just know they will be handled in the most fair and impartial way possible.

8) Quoting your PM or the MOD - Yeah sure, like anyone is going to believe you anyways!  Knock yourself out there, chief!

9) Voting and Unvoting - Vote and unvote in the usual manner with the new format.  I will not count a new vote unless your old vote has been unvoted first.  (Info on new Vote Tags here)

10) Claiming your Role - Feel free to claim or fake claim all you want.  All threats to the town have at least one fake claim given to them by me on a character that will be featured in the story in some way.

11) Story - The narrative of the game will be partially my own brain droppings for flavor and (hopefully) entertainment value; and partially game related clues to what is going on.  It is up to you to decide what is what.  Not all characters featured in the story are player characters.   I like to add NPCs for flavor as well......so if someone claims a character and they show up in the story, it doesn't mean they are legit. Doesn't mean they aren't either. Also, look for easter eggs hiddin within the text.

12) Have fun, ya'll!  - It's just a game...but it's EPIC!  I tried to design each role to be a lot of fun to play while still maintaining a good balance between the Heroes and the threats to the Heroes.  Try to have fun with it!  I know I will!

Alignment:  Obviously Mafia

 

Win Condition: You win when the creators of Thor are so fed up with your terrible acting that they turn Thor into a chick in the comics.

 

Power Role:    Why are you here? - Each scene you are in, you will cause fans to ask "Why are you relevant to this plot?"

 

Special Ability:   Black Swan - If Mila Kunis goes down on you in your movie, you are temporarily not terrible for the night.

For our purposes, a Hero is the same as saying Town or Innocent.  A Hero win condition will read like this:

 

You win when all threats to the Heroes have been eliminated

 

 

If your alignment doesn't match the one above, you probably shouldn't tell anyone about it.
